Great Hotel
Clean, Modern, Very competant and friendly staff
I had a short problem with the wireless service in my room and when I checked out the clerk told me that they had removed the charge totally. We were very impressed.

rebooking hotel next year
the mini bar was stunning value, as was he free in room internet
lack of air conditioning and the water pipes warm all time. they if were boxed would have made room cooler
Excellent location for everything.Stunning hotel and architecture. staff very friendly and helpful.Never stayed in any hotel where you were given a free full mini bar and also free internet. only downside was lack of cool air as this was set by hotel and couldn't be lowered by me. the fact the hot water pipes are exposed made the room too warm. had to sleep on top of bed. however excellent value and food in restaurant very good and great value. will def return next year and have told everyone of it's great value for money

5 Star
Excellent customer service, good location
Very small lobby, stairs to get into the hotel, checking in took a while
One of the most comfortable hotels we have stayed in. Great free mini bar & internet service in the room. Fabulous pool & spa. We will stay there again.

hotel with characters, new and comfotable
not a convenient people on wheelchair and big bags
location is near enough to walk from central station but too far with heavy bags. uneven roads and kerbs along the way to hotel, makes the walk a very difficult one. no proper signage to lead you to the hotel even though its near. but very comfortable and value for money.

very comfortable rooms
marvellous room and free mini bar!
odd location
the hotel is new and well kept. Room is comfortable and the quality of towels, sanitation and Lanvin toiletries excellent. If you have big bags, the lobby is going to be a problem for you.

great stay
nice decor, centric location
no outside view
I spend a weekend in this hotel Impressive art deco building. very unique. Impressive restoration which makes you feel in another age. Very unique experience. Included mini bar is a big plus specially because of the Nespresso machine. The only con is the lack of views.

Unique pleasent and reserved.
location, exceptional staff courtesy and attention to details.
the main bedroom door is too thin or not well sound insulated, you can hear all is going on outside in the corridor and most probably viceversa.
unconventional hotel architecture, the entrance hall does not have a lounge where you can rest, too tiny reception, but soon as you go past it, you will discover a mixed experience between a convent and a middle eve castle, but again it is not as it looks; it used to be a shipping house... the rest you will have to find out by yourself... hihihi

Stunning Grand Hotel Amrath Amsterdam
In an excellent location for exploring all areas of Amsterdam. The hotel is a stunning example of early 20th Century architecture, which meant that the reception area did not look like every other hotel, with imposing desks to queue at - we checked in by sitting in a large airy office. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, but not imposing. The room (Junior Suite with City View) was large, very comfortable and very clean. Excellent bathroom too. Free mini bar - restocked very day.
A very small criticism, was the lack of a socket close to a mirror for easy hair-drying. The price of the breakfast was expensive.
The Amrath did not disappoint. It is a magnificent building both inside and out. The rooms have high, high ceilings and are immaculately clean and well-decorated. We stayed in a Junior Suite which had 4 enormous windows which overlooked the city canal and was just a perfect base for our anniversary trip. The staff were really friendly and helpful (our daughter had arranged a surprise bottle of champagne in our room with them and they made sure that it was chilled and ready when we arrived). We didn't bother with the breakfast as it was expensive, but did eat in the restaurant for dinner one night and the food was very good. The bar had a lovely welcoming dark interior with an enormous bowl of snacks to nibble after a day wandering the canals of the city. The free mini-bar was a real bonus and meant that we had champagne as an aperitif in our room every evening! Then there was the Nespresso machine, the free wi-fi, the large comfortable and clean bathroom with large bath, shower and double sinks...and the evening service to your room to replenish any coffees/teas... Could not find fault (apart from the positioning of a socket near a mirror to make hairdrying easier!!!) The location really is only a 5 minute walk from the station so train was definitely the best choice of transport. Didn't go to the Well-Being Centre, but it did look very inviting. If we ever return to Amsterdam then this would be my first choice of hotel.

Great Hotel, Great Service
Located within walking distance to the central train station. Large rooms, high ceiling, new furniture and fantastic bed. Just to top it all, they have a free bar in the room. Very generous breakfast.
No lobby and you have to walk to the elevator but not a big deal and the pros outnumber the cons.
Highly recommended on its location and proximity to the train station and all the attraction in town. Close to all but at the same time in a quite neighborhood. Excellent service and very attentive. We had the best time.
