Good for the money!”
We were originally at the Hotel Granada Palace, which was awful. Our friends were at Eurostars Gran Via so we checked out early and booked last minute at Eurostars. It was inexpensive, we had a corner room and it was in a great location! The bathroom was a bit challenging to maneuver and due to food allergies I was not able to eat breakfast at the hotel but it looked like a nice spread! For the money we paid, the location and the excellent staff it was worth it. Definitely recommend!
One of the best hotels I've stayed at in Europe ”
Fontecruz Hotel really completed our stay in Granada. It was a wonderful hotel. Our room had a balcony that opened to Via Maria which was really nice. The room was comfortable, and a good size compared to other hotels we have stayed at in Europe. The bathroom was huge, clean and nicely lit. It had a bathtub and a standing shower, two sinks. Towels smelled really nice and so did the toiletries. These are little things but it is the small details that make a difference. The bed itself was comfortable. The only problem was that instead of a proper double bed, we had two twin beds joined together. But to us this was a minor issue. The staff at the front desk were pretty helpful when it came to suggesting dining places. When our international adaptor didn't work, they made an effort to find one for us to borrow. One last detail we really appreciated was that we were allowed to check in at 9am in the morning which was greatly appreciated as we had taken an early morning train in from Seville and really needed the room to rest and freshen up. In overall, a really lovely hotel I would recommend. Granada is a beautiful city and you need an equally beautiful hotel to make your stay in Granada complete.
Granada is a small town and the hotel is located on Via Colon (i.e. the main street of this city), you can assess the tourist information center by less than 5 min walk The hotel itself is great with 5-star standard, it offers very very good wifi services at the room. It also has separate shower and bathtub I will surely recommend this hotel to all ppls visiting Granada
Vibrant city and location”
Great location, near the cathedral, the Alhambra and shopping. The Gran Via is a main thoroughfare with constant hustle and bustle. The fun goes on most of the night.
nice boutique hotel”
Fontecruz Granada was one of the best hotels we've stayed during the trip. It's greatly located - just opposite to the Cathedral, and by bus stations. The hotel is realy nicely designed and decorated. very friendly and helping staffs. Good value for money too.
The best hotel in Granada”
Granada is the most famous place for Alhambra palace and the hotel Fontecruz Granada certainly is the best hotel in terms of service, location and quality of it. The behind the hotel, there are many Tapa resturants to visit. IT's all walking distance. Not too far but everything is near by.
the stay here was wonderful. the rooms were spacious, modern, no complaints. since we are smokers, and the hotel is non smoking, there was a beautiful terrace balcony on the top floor that you can see alahambra and the cathedral. the location is excellent with everything within walking distance and the bus stop accross the street. the hotel staff were great and the price was also great for this hotel. thanks for the great memories!
A good choice - but don't drive there!”
This hotel is well located in the centre of the city, within a short walk of most places you are likely to want to visit. Services completely adequate. The only real issue is that if you are travelling by car it is extremely difficult to reach it because of restrictions on road access. They do in fact have a deal with a local car park which saves some money and works quite well, but it's a real struggle to get to it. Perhaps they might consider a page on their website - with a link from the Agoda site - giving some clear instructions. As it was, we drove in increasingly desperate circles for 2 hours and eventually parked nowhere near the hotel and walked.
The location of the hotel is great - very close to the cathedral. The. interior design is very restful too. Although my room was comfortable I would avoid Room 111 (next to the housekeeping room) as it was quite noisy - maybe pipes or the air conditioning... it sounded like I was trying to sleep next to a laundrette and consequently I didn't sleep! The other downside is that if you wish to use the pool it will cost over 20 Euros.. apparently it is only part of the Spa. so not free for guests. That aside, the staff were all really friendly and welcoming, it is a comfortable hotel and you can not beat the location so I would recommend it. Having said that
Overrated hotel in noisy environment”
The price was ok, but why on Earth is this place posing as a 5* hotel. It feels more like moderate 3*. The room was really dark, the noise level from outside was daunting, the room had no proper shower (had to hold the shower over my head with my hand!!), there was a writing desk but you could not sit at it because the bed was in the way, the wardrobe space was laughable, and when I asked for a few more hangers (there were only two in the room) the staff were bemused! Get real Eurostars, don't advertise comfort and luxury levels you don't live p to in the end! Besides, the place is not as clean as it could be either!
A modern hotel in the perfect location”
A very modern hotel and situated close to the shopping streets of Granada and the river. Only 5 mins walking distance away from the Hamman spa/local tourism office.
The property is a 10-15 minute walk or bus ride to Alhambra and right in the middle of the tourist zone. It is a modest little hotel, not really 5 star, but the staff more than make up for it. When the current refurbishment is complete it will be one of the best places to stay in Granada.
Great Hotel to stay”
Great location, near historical places and bus stops to the palace and hills; Very friendly staff who recommended nice restaurants and shops; Could see cathedral from the room; Overall, great w/ reasonable price
Very good, but not 5 stars”
The hotel couldn't be any more central. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. The rooms are very nice but I wouldn't rate it as a 5 stars hotel, so if you are going for the stars, don't be fooled. The rooms facing the road can be quite noisy, especially the lower floors, so we got our changed for another on the side street which was much more quiet.
very good hotel with helpful staff.”
modern, well provided hotel in the city centre, with good access to sights and buses a few metres away. many restaurants nearby.
Its was good”
Its a good old hotel with the Andolsi design, te room are huge and clean. Room service it wasn't. That good if you need towels or anything you have to walk all the way to the front desk to ask them for what you need. They have phones outside the room to call room service but they never answer and if they answered they will hang up on you. The breakfast is realy good and the swimming pool is realy small but over all for the location its a good hotel
We arrived early and our requested room was ready. Check in was quick and easy. We had also requested a view of the Alhambra and was allocated a room with a great view. The lounge on the top floor also has an awesome view of the Alhamabra. The central location was great for walking and exploring. A conveniance store accross the road. The shower temperature fluctuated.
Nice room, good location, great value”
I'm surprised, the room is modern & clean, absolutely very value for money. Good location and nice staff. Strongly recommended as it"s one of those very few value for money hotel I have ever come across. U won't regret !!!
Beautiful hotel in city center”
The hotel is in a restored historic building with a modern feel to the room, but keeping the original outside architecture. It was very close to many sites and all the buses stopped just a block down.
the hotel is pretty new with spa facility. very near to the shopping area- walkable distance. bus stop is right in front of the hotel, which goes to the La Alhambra, and the alsa bus station, as well as the air port.
