Clean and Spacious! Good Location! ”
I have never stayed at a Eurostars hotel before, and this one amazed me. My room was extremely spacious and so was the bathroom. Not only that, the room was very clean as well. As a stickler for space, this hotel was very much for me. Location-wise, it was a mere 7-min walk to the nearest S-Bahn, with an accompanying shopping mall nearby (Zob). I went in winter, when it was freezing cold. It did help that station was nearby. If it were summer or autumn, I am sure the commute to and fro the station will be a pleasant one. A plus (and also minus) point is that the hotel is beside a tram station and it's line. It means that taking a direct tram to Marienplatz is convenient. It also mean that the sound of the tram at night will irritate you, since the highest floor of the hotel is only 5 storey high. But due to the cold winter, the sound did not bother my wife much. I think the breakfast was so-so: standard German and European fare. I stayed here during the tail end of my trip and was sick of European breakfast already. Staff was cordial. Germans speak excellent English. The one whom I asked for directions nearly gave me a less efficient way of travelling to Marienplatz, but he was humble enough to ask his colleague for further advice. Not at the top of his game, but delivered the results nevertheless. I will definitely stay here if I ever go to Munich again... Or maybe even try the Eurostars Book Hotel?
Excellent value for money”
The key factors in booking the hotel were its proximity to an S bahn (Hackerbrucke) and its reasonable price. We had also stayed in Eurostars Friedrichstrasse in Berlin many times and they never disappoint so we thought the one in Munich shouldn't be bad either. This hotel, like the one in Berlin, has a nice modern look and feel. The room is clean and has enough space. View from the window is average, but not a big deal. It took us only 5-10 mins of leisure walk to the S bahn. The fact that our favorite Vapiano restaurant is also at the station is a great added bonus.
Lovely Hotel with Comfy Beds & Helpful Staff”
We like this place for its relatively close proximity to the railway station and Marienplaz both about 8 mins walk away. We were there in early August......so we actually won't mind even if its further, the weather was nice for strolling! Travelling in Munich is heavenly. Their transport system is really clean and efficient and very convenient! Trains actually arrive and start on the dot!! We got very cheap and sweet berries from Marienplatz! My husband enjoyed the BMW Museum while my daughter and I sipped coffee and ate yummy pastries and sausages on the slopes of a nearby big carnival grounds with lots of nice green fields and families having picnics and many food stalls selling all kinds of delicious food and deserts!! We went to many fantastic food places, cannot remember most but caught one named Augustiner am Dom on photo! All in all, we will definitely go back to visit Munich and stay in this comfy hotel again and hopefully they will give us a '2nd time stay'discount ;-) Oh, I forgot to mention the best ~ the fantastic breakfast spread!! Many types of breads and croissants and really freshly squeezed orange juice!! I always never drink juices at breakfast when travelling coz most hotels serve preserved juices.......but this place give the real stuff!!
rooms are very beautiful and modern ”
close to hackerbruck station, which is the next stop to munich central station, only 2 minutes walk away. hotel is very modernly decorated, rooms are of big area. hotel staff is helpful as I need to make a tour reservation who speaks only German, they just help calling the number and translate for me! and they greet me every time I came back to the hotel, lovely. the only drawback is if ur room is facing the street side, u would hear the tram running at night time, it wasn't noisy but it can be nuisance for some ppl.
Perfect Stay”
my wife and i very much enjoyed our stay in the hotel for two nights. the room is clean, spacious and modern. we do not have any complain overall. breakfast is very good and surprisingly they had live music (violin and guitar) so we did enjoy a great moment at the breakfast time. if we have to be picky, the only downside is the swimming pool is relatively small, but i think most hotels in munich do not even have a pool so it's not a big deal.
Central Location with full facility”
Hotel is located centrally in heart of Munich, and it is walking distance to central train station. Rooms are new, clean, and well equipped. A little hard to find convenience store around the hotel at night, but several established restaurants are within walking distance. Will definitely recommend this hotel for holiday or business.
Lovely hotel and service with a smile”
It is indeed a nice hotel and close to the train station in Munich. The Munich Hbf is very close by taxi as well. The staff are friendly and the room was furnished with comfortable beds. Internet is available free 24 hours a day. The rooms are very clean. The bath and toilet are separate.
Great business hotel in the middle of Munich”
I was on a business trip to Germany, chose this hotel, and was not let down. The best thing was the location. You can walk in and out of Munich Center from this hotel very easily. The breakfast was (very typical German) huge, with hundreds of choices to choose from. The hotel was clean, new, nice glass elevators, room design is nice. Only complaint was that there are no staff to help with the luggage, only recepptionists. Maybe because this is a business-only hotel...
Eurostars Grand Central pretty cool”
Only stayed one night so can't say too much. Very new, opened in August or September 2009. Breakfast had a good selection of food. Room service meal was quite good (chicken & potatoes). Very close to the Munich Hauptbahnhof, so that is either a pro or a con depending on your needs. We really liked the design of the room and the hotel (very modern and sharp). Desk staff were friendly. There is free wi-fi internet for guests with their own laptop (like us), and this ended up working even in our own room when I went back upstairs (we were on the 3rd floor I believe). Overall no complaints from us!
Very clean and modern hotel”
Highly recommend this hotel if you want space in a clean, modern newly built hotel with a nice feel. The glass elevators were very fast and efficient. The breakfast was good but there was not a lot of choice. I got the impression that the hotel is popular for company conferences and therefore many of the guests are corporate rather than private travellers. Hotel is 20 mins walk to the centre of Munich and a 10 minute walk to the main train station where many day tours leave.
Good”
I chose to stay with Eurostars Grand Central Hotel because it locates next to the main train station, therefore I can get to the station easier with my luggage. I stayed there with my parents and the apartment is pretty big for us. The size of the apartment is quite cheap relatively to the price.
Live Music breakfast!”
The hotel location is not in the downtown of Munich but only few stations to Marienplaza. 5 mins walk to the closest station which is convenient to and from airport by S-Bahn and also the long distance coach. There was live music in the restaurant during breakfast which was incredible. The Gym and the swimming were also good.
nice design hotel near main station”
Hotel is not far from main station, has good breakfast, pool in 5th floor, sauna, gym, et cetera. Hotel is very nice designed in modern style, rooms are nice designed as well. in top floor you can see whole Munich.
nicely designed Hotel”
The hotel is not far from the mains tation and offers nicely designed modern rooms and in the highest floor nice view over munich as well as Pool and Sauna. Breakfast is good and has a good choice. Good for business stays or leisure.
Nice service and comfortable room”
It is a stylish and comfortable hotel, there is a tram station just outside the hotel, 2 mins walk from the closest rail station (Hackerbrucke station) 3 mins walk from a famous beer garden... however, this hotel is not located at the most common tourist point ( about 4 rail stations behind) But overall I still satisify with the time I stay in Eurostar
Good facilities”
It is rare to have a hotel with free sauna, swimming pool and gym room. Eurostar has them all. Nice!
Great Hotel”
Room was excellent, location is a 5-10 minute stroll to the centre of Munich and is also a short walk to the Oktoberfest park. As we weren't there during Oktoberfest this wasn't really important, but would be nice to know for future Oktoberfests
Great Hotel, professional staff and service”
eurostars is a great hotel, rooms are modern and has a warm and cosy feel. front desk are professional and very helpful. considering that from my personal experience germans are not overly helpful nor friendly. breakfast is average and could be a lot better. scrambled eggs runny and bland. selection for breakfast is average. could do with more cooked items especially during the winter season. has better breakfasts in other smaller hotels in germany. another drawback is the location, quite a walk from the main central train station. it means taking the metro train next to the hotel to city centre and other main attractions.
New and beautiful hotel, slightly far from center”
this is a great, well-priced beautiful hotel about 15 min away form munich's central train station. it's a bit deceiving on the map as it looks like it's actually 5 minutes away. the facilities are great and the breakfast, though a bit pricey is pretty good. there's a subway station 5 minutes away that takes you to the center and connects with various trams.
Friendly staffs, specious room size”
It's about 15 mins walk from the central station. Local train station is behind the hotel. Hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. Room size is specious with bath tab
