Lovely clean hotel in a quiet location”
Lovely clean hotel in a quiet location on the north west corner of Venice. Easy to get to from the airport via the water ferry/bus service. Very easy to get around from the hotel - only 20 minutes to walk to St. Marks square or you can catch a ferry down the grand canal to various places. We discovered a lovely winebar not 5 minutes walk away from the hotel and a few nice restaurants. Breakfast buffet was good.
Nice country feel hotel ”
it was hard to find in the beginning because i arrived really late at night, but the locals living in this area were very nice and helpful with directions. no elevator! so if you are lugging big luggage around, not so ideal. i ended up leaving my big luggage at the receptionist, and just have my gym back with me up to my room. that's just a minor thing though. everything else about the hotel was lovely. there's a countryside/old world feel that kinda grows on me. love the bars/restaurants nearby.
Well located, in quiet area and high standard.”
A bit off the main tourist route which was a plus for us. Easy walking to many sights places of interest. Garret style room and no lift, so a penchant for stairs a must. Room was warm when we stayed despite heating being off and cool weather - so it may be hot in summer. Staff were competent and helpful. There was free wi-fi in lobby but expensive to use rooms.
good hotel, great staff hospitality”
Good hotel and great staff, near to water bus stop but far distance if you want to walk to San marco square but it is Venice and good to walk. hotel location is not too far from Train station but for 1st time you need to bring your map and check the route as not easy to find place in venice, asking people will make you lost
We would highly recommend this hotel to others and would stay here again. We loved that it was so quiet but not complete away from good food and places to shop at. The staff was fantastic, friendly, and trustworthy. I accidentally left a valuable piece of jewelry in a glass cup for safe keeping. Once I realized this we called the hotel to ensure it was safe and not accidentally picked up as a dirty cup by housekeeping. The staff checked the room and found the ring, which was waiting for me when we returned! Can't say that about other hotels.
This room is awesomely huge and the ambience is great, situated right next to a small canal. There was an electric kettle in the room for us to make warm drinks in winter. The staff were very helpful in moving the heavy luggage and offered valuable advice when checking in and out. A welcome drink was also offered and accomodation was made when requested for warm and non-alcoholic drinks. Since the location is a good 15 min away from the Venice train station, it would be good if the hotel could provide an in-house porter service instead.
Lovely Hotel ”
Quiet location of town a small walk, but a good nights sleep away from the noise. Breakfast great good selection for all. Rooms large and clean. Staff fantastic very willing to assist with any requests. My only con would be tea and coffee facility in the rooms, this would be something management should consider. I would stay here again.
Great neighbourhood ”
Nice place and very helpful staff. Located nice quiet neighbourhood away from the main touristy areas which was perfect for us. Most attractions are with walking distance and there are some very nice local bars and restaurants less than 5mins from the hotel.
Nice, good customer service”
The staff showed us to our room which was a nice touch. They were helpful and friendly. The place was clean and nice. Shower was a bit temperamental, it took a long time to respond to changes in temperature. Location was okay but it would have been better if we were closer to the train given you have to get your luggage over a lot of bridges and stairs on those bridges to get to your location.
Exciting location but expensive. ”
We were happy with the location of this hotel because it was away from the crowds and on a quiet canal. The bar attendant and breakfast room staff were extremely welcoming and helpful as were the reception staff. The lighting was very poor in our room which makes it difficult to function comfortably. An additional major problem was if the window was left open, mosquitoes carried you away at night. Better lighting and screens on windows would make this a very comfortable hotel. The well maintained and peaceful courtyard with its piped music was a welcome oasis where we could relax after a long day of sightseeing. Considering the high end charges for staying at this hotel, we believe these problems should be rectified.
A little out of the way,”
Unfortunately, we arrived on a cold, rainy day. We had quite a bit of trouble locating the hotel initially, as it is tucked away down an alley near the Jewish Ghetto. It is a little far from the public boat docks and also from the train station. The hotel itself is very modern and the staff were friendly and accommodating. However there were very few dining or shopping areas near the hotel.
The lady at the reception was REALLY NICE. We arrived pretty early, not even the check in time, but she let us come to the room, so we could changed our clothes and took a shower before we explore the city. She even upgraded our room. The hotel itself not too far from the central station, easy to find through google map, it takes myb around 15-20 mnts walking distance. Although the metro station is pretty close from the hotel, we still can manage by walking from central station and also brought our big luggage. The access to main attraction pretty far but if you have time you still can go there by walking or you can use the metro. We really enjoyed our night at this hotel
It was a comfortable and well equipped room.”
My wife and I loved our stay here. The staff was friendly and helpful and always available. The room was a good size with high ceilings and very quiet. It even has an entrance exclusively for water taxis. Bed was king size and very comfortable. My only complaint would be the occasional mosquito that somehow manages to sneak in whenever we open the window. But this is Venice after all, hardly anything to do with the hotel. All in all, I'd recommend this establishment.
Good location ”
When we arrived, there was an issue as they did not have a room for us the first night. But they had prepared everything: we got transferred to a nicer hotel nearby, were offered breakfast during our whole stay, upgraded to the suite, were offered 2 free drinks and a bottle of prosecco. The level of service was really great and we really appreciated the extra effort from the hotel. Only drawbacks were the aircon in the room that we could not switch off, some mosquitoes, issues that were not solved during our 3-night stay. But it was manageable.
Great value for money”
the rooms were spacious and very clean. we were very pleased with the conditions of the room. it was an excellent value for the money we spent. breakfast buffet was good with plenty of options. the hotel staff was very friendly. the only drawback is the location of the hotel. it is a good 30 min walk away from the railway station. there is an option of taking the water taxi. however, if you prefer peace and quiet, then this hotel is recommended. we would definitely stay at this hotel upon the next visit too.
Very Nice Hotel in a Somewhat Remote Location”
i liked the hotel itself. the rooms were spacious and also kept warm. the hotel is located in a charming, residential neighborhood in venice. the biggest problem is that the hotel is very hard to find, as it is not correctly identified on google maps and the hotel's own directions on its website are very inadequate.
In quiet and charmin carnereggio.”
Hotel was located in carnereggio about 20-30 mins walk to st marks. Hotel room was large. 2 floors, 1 single bed, one sofa bed, one queen bed. Breakfast was alright, similar to most 4 star places. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, they helped book a water taxi to the airport and even packed a take away breakfast because our flight was so early. Shame there was no wifi.
Lots of Space, rooms a bit worn down. no wifi”
We booked a quadruple, which was a 2 floor room. 1 double bed, 1 single bed, 1 sofa bed, it was definitely the most spacious of our italy trip. But rooms were definitely a bit worn down, lots of cracks, scrapes, scuffs. As well no elevator. Staff were very helpful in booking water taxi's, preparing a small breakfast one morning, when we had an early departure. Big Downside for us was that there is no wifi. Breakfast was much like other hotels, eggs, pastries, juices, coffee and fruit.
Great canal view room”
We found Residenza Cannaregio on Agoda which has a very reasonable price and we're very surprised with the location. It's located in a very quiet part of Venice, far from the main tourist streets. Staffs are very helpful (we asked our way around, which is the best restaurant etc..), the hotel is almost hidden away which is a nice touch. Our room has a very good view of the canal but the heater is not working which is an disappointment (it's around 0-5 Celsius degrees in Venice during our stay). Other complain is free wifi only available in the lobby, you need to pay for internet in your room which is only available on cable. Overall Residenza Cannaregio definitely have my recommendation for whoever want to have a stay in Venice, great place, great room.
Nice and lovely hotel”
This hotel is about 15 min walk from the train station. It is quite far away from the main tourist attraction but the good thing is the nearby restaurants are cheaper too. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is also a complimentary welcome drink. The room is spacious and clean. Plenty of towels in the bathroom and the room service is good.
