Extremely Homely & Comfortable Stay Experience”
Firstly, the staff members working there from 8th to 11th August 2019 were extremely friendly and approachable and would never hesitate to offer their assistance to us at all times. They even helped us to upgrade our room even though we had checked in very late at night after our tour around Taichung. Secondly, this hotel is located near the famous and must visit Feng Jia night market, which is approximately a comfortable 10 minutes walk away. While walking to the night market, there are many shops near this hotel selling different types of food and drinks. Lastly, the staff members working at this hotel can converse well both in English and Mandarin (their mother tongue). This hotel also has an unique plane theme with unique plane artefacts and decorative items being placed all around for hotel guests to take photos of. Staying at this hotel really makes my friend and me feel like we are at home. So we will strongly recommend this hotel to all travellers visiting Taichung =D

The best sky suit we’ve ever stayed ”
We booked the room in a limited time, and payed more at the last minute for the last choice of two-bed room. To our surprise, we are upgraded to the sky suite. Great view and a very clean, cozy living room. The bathroom and shower room are separate at the lobby. The bathtub is quite nice. And the hotel is located nearby the night market. It’s convenient to enjoy take-away dinner time the hotel. Because of the upgrading experience, we can just stay in the living room, water TV, enjoyed the great night scene view, we have a wonderful time in the Sky Suite. Highly recommend.

VALUE FOR MONEY! CLEAN AND HUGE ROOMS! V NEAR TO NIGHT MARKET! BEST DESIGN ROOM!”
My first time staying in this hotel, after reading the goods reviews I decided to book a room for Triple. I stayed in Dec 2018, the room is HUGE like a Condo, hall with dining table and small kitchen and a lounge for relaxing with sofa sets. The second level is the place to sleep with 3 mattress on the ground. We slept well. Shocking to find such a nice design room. I think only for Triple room. The toilet is fantastic, it is huge with shower and bath tub facing huge window in the toilet. Cleanliess is 10. Just walk 5 mins from the hotel is the Fengxia night market. Alot to shop and alot of food stalls. I stay for 2 nights only and leave the next day to cing Jing, I will not hesitate to return again. If you visit Taichung to stop over, highly recommend you to stay at Explorer hotel. Near to everything. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Breadfast is buffet style with noodle, porridge, vegetable, egg, sausages, toast bread, soya milk, tea and coffee & etc! Simple and delicious!

CLEAN & HUGE ROOM - 5 STARS - VALUE FOR MONEY & 5 MINS WALK TO FENG XIA NIGHT MARKET”
We book a room for 4 pax. Very Huge room for (like private condo - REALLY BIG AND HUGE). Double story with double bed side by side on up stair and below is a big lounge with sofa and flat screen TV. A long big dining table also provided. Toilet with bath tub and stand bath. Everything is shown as on photo. Very new and clean. Local breakfast with porridge and side dishes, simple & nice and toast bread is also available. I enjoy my 2 night stay here with my family. Very nice and comfortable stay.

Great service and good spread of breakfast”
We arrived late at around 9pm to check in and the hotel lobby was warm and inviting as the weather was windy, rainy and cold. The room was clean and compact, the washing hands and face area was right at the door on the right when we enter, but the design was modern and smartly made use of every available space in the room. Toilet bowl even comes with Japanese features to warm your seat. Breakfast was delicious and the choices offered were a lot and different from the usual hotels. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel!

First , the location is really great. There are convenient stores around and near the hotel. It is not far from Feng chia night market in distance of walking. The breakfast is really good! Plenty of styles we can choose. The staff of hotel are INCREDIBLY NICE. They are helpful , having great services and kind. Also, The room is super comfortable and clean. Really worth for prices! I would absolutely recommend this place!! (And will come back for sure!)

Hotel room was clean and space compact with good layout”
Suitable with sufficient space for 4 adults and 2 suitcases in the room. Breakfast was good with plenty of variety. Note that breakfast time has been fixed at every hour so you need to inform the hotel reception the time that you wish to go to ensure that the place has sufficient space for everyone to sit. I felt that the hotel was organized from check in to breakfast planning to check out. Fengjia night market was just 10 mins stroll away so you can shop till late hours and walk back to hotel.

Clean, modern, near to Feng Chia Night Market and HSR station”
It has a interesting modern design and the room number is projected onto the carpeted floor. Amenities were sufficient, breakfast choices were many, room is clean. They also gave me a self-created map detailing the delicious food and buses around the area. The hotel is near to fengchia night market and bus stop to hsr and railway station. The bus to HSR station is just a short journey of 20 mins, would recommend guests to take HSR instead of train(1h ++ bus ride) if you are going to this area.

The Best hotel we have stayed to date!”
Normally I don’t write reviews, but We had been UPGRADED to a loft!! There are few things I would like to comment on this hotel. 1. Cleanliness of our room is EXCEPTIONAL, I can walk on the floor bare footed. 2. Service is EXCEPTIONAL, they help us carry over luggage when we enter the hotel, friendly with smiles, with 80sgd you are being served like if it’s over 150sgd, not to mention there is breakfast included!! 3. decoration of our room is Exceptional. It’s modern and warm at the same time. There’s paintings, detailed decorations, huge amount of warm lights for your need and great view too! Overall, 10/10 and definitely coming back again.

Perfect 10 stay. Excellent customer service and location, walking distance to night market. We stay at the VIP suite@level 10. 2 beautiful bathrooms with a huge bathtub make u want to soak immediately. The living room with 2 sofas, 2 coffee table and a 55 inch Phillips TV. Upper floor is the bedroom. Leading out is a huge balcony where you can have perfect viewing of the city and night sky. Here I like to thank staff Joann,Rita,Emily and YinIing for their hospitality and friendly smile.

We were upgrade to sky suite at 10floor, the only one room in the floor. Great experience to get seeview the whole city at bulcony. Kid live the ‘2foors’ concept where beds were at ‘upstair’......room was clean n hygiene, till my 5 yo boy ran to knock the glass without awareness. Strongly recommended. Best in class !!!

Mum and daughter travellers”
During our May stay, we enjoyed stellar service from the cheerful and friendly staff who were most helpful with directions (in English too!). We like the quaint arrangement of the twin beds (end-to-end instead of side-by-side). It makes the room more spacious. The sofa, however, was a little uncomfortable as it kept slipping off. The hotel's location is another huge bonus - at a quiet edge of lively Fengjia Night Market.

We were being upgraded to a bigger room when we reached there :) hotel is very clean and staffs are friendly and helpful. I actually asked if it’s possible to borrow one baby chair from the dining area to my room. Without hesitation, the staff actually offered to help me bring up the chair. Super nice of them! :) will definitely stay in this hotel again if I come Taichung again.

Great and comfortable stay! Really value for money!”
We were greeted by really friendly staff upon arrival. Hotel room was affordable, clean and big. Hotel is also located pretty near Feng Jia. Good for a night time stroll after all the street food to aid digestion. :) We really enjoyed the stay here, and will definitely return to this hotel when we are back in Taichung.

Good Value for Money”
We booked a room for 4 and it was very spacious (PS: we were told that our room was the only one with a bathtub). The room had all basic necessities and the toilet even came with a bidet! Fengjia Night Market and other convenient stores were only walking distance from the hotel. There were also many shops selling food nearby as it is located close to students' hostel and a university. Breakfast was a combination of western and eastern buffet and it was delicious.

A wonderful stay in Taichung”
Helpful and effective staff, provided the clearly information while doing the check in process. Beautiful hotel, nice room with good facilities and design. Love the shower gel and the shampoo. Eventhough we only stayed for one night, but we enjoyed it so much. Only one thing is that I couldn't borrowed the iron as the others already had it. Overall, thank you for the stay :')

Very good. Nearby less than 3 mins walk there’s a family mart. Staff service is excellent. Toilet and rooms are big and spacious, for the price we paid it’s definitely a good deal. Location is good as well.
