This is our 3rd stay in the Explorer hotel to see northern lights. We decided to stay here because of the comfort and good dining. However, during our stay we felt that the service of the hotel staff had a lot of room for improvement. They don't greet you properly or doesn't answer to your email promptly or not at all. Only if the staff is more professional our stay would have been more pleasant.
Location was great, almost everything was walking distance such as super market and glossary store. However when I checked in at the hotel, my room was not ready even though I got a key from front. I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, but one of the nights, house keeping staff didn't clean up my room until the evening. Other than that, I was happy to stay at this hotel.
It was overall a enjoyable stay. Big and clean rooms. Conveniently situated just minutes away from supermarket and eateries. Just a pity that buffet breakfast selection was extremely limited. I guess it is continental.
