"our stay at filitheyo was fantastic and we would definitely go back. we chose a water villa and were not dissappointed. we were able to access the beautiful reef from the stairs included with each villa. we heard that other resorts need to ferry guests to the house reef on boats and were pleasantly surprised that we could just walk down a few steps and enjoy the reef. remember to stay away from the east side of the island as the currents and swells are quite stong. but there's plenty to see and do that would keep you away. make sure you ask for sayeed at the surf centre and go out on the catamaran. with years of expertise and great maldivian stories. it was a fantastic experience, and we were lucky enough to see dolphins and a needle fish darting across the surface. the food was great with plenty of choice for those of us who are slighly more picky than others. by far, the best part of the whole experience was the staff."
