This is the best accommodation I have ever stayed in while traveling so far!! 1. The facilities, cleanliness, location, and safety are all excellent. (The location: just a 3-5 minute walk from the main street, and the walk itself is absolutely lovely.) 2. We spent 6 nights in Pai. Family Zen Boutique lives up to their name. Run by a wonderful , kind family it offers a peaceful environment, comfortable cosy rooms with outstanding service. The breakfast selection is varied, perfectly cooked, fresh fruit , excellent coffee and juices. The pool area offers a quiet refuge . The water was refreshing considering the night time lows of 16 degrees . However , it is very hot during the day making it a perfect dip post activities . We drove and they have excellent parking. The location is absolutely fantastic, a short 5 min walk across the bamboo bridge to the food street then the main tourist restaurant/bars area. Pai was a mid trip rest and we were able to recharge at this heavenly hotel. Worth the premium you pay!

Family House Zen may not have been the fanciest of all the places that I stayed at…but the hosts were the kindest and most generous of all. They bent over backwards to accommodate me at every step. Their smoothies are amazing. The rooms are basic but you have everything you need to make it feel like home. Location is great…just minutes from Walking Street and all the fabulous places. The owner kindly drove me to my massages as it was too hot to walk. For anyone reading this…please visit Chaya Massage. It’s a short ride from the hotel and Sky is a true healer. Best massages I ever had. I am forever grateful for my stay in Pai…Family House made me feel like…well….FAMILY :) They truly took care of me x

Small but lovely resort in backpacker haven Pai. If you don't want to stay in a hut, then this is a great choice. It is just over the river from the heart of the action (5 or 6 mins walk). Has a great pool, lovely garden, amazing staff. The room was big and comfortable. The fixtures and fittings were not high end but functional so it had a bit of a motel vibe (compared with the places we stayed in Chiang Mai). Breakfast off a menu was fine but we prefer some more Thail choices - but the fruit with yoghurt was healthy and delicious. The resto recommendations they gave were spot on. And they dropped us off at the bus station when we left :-) Recommended.

The hotel was very clean, the garden was well maintained, and I liked the swimming pool. It felt a bit expensive, but I would recommend it as a good place to stay at least once. Pai is more spread out than I expected and this hotel has the benefit of being close to the main street but far enough away to be peaceful and pretty zen. The Family House Zen is in a quiet and beautiful location on the other side of the river from the Pai chaos and noise. The owners have done a wonderful job of creating a calm oasis to relax in, after a day out in the Pai countryside. The pool is lovely and cool, the aircon is super quiet, the bed is comfortable. Very nice, spacious, and clean room. The bathroom a bit small but overall is practical. Really like the breakfast and fresh coffee. You are to choose from the set menu but can order as many sets you want. The road to the hotel by car is a bit narrow and rough. Fortunately, there are not many cars so not so much problems. Be careful of google as it point us to the other side expecting that the car can cross the pedestrian bridge to the hotel. Once settling in, we can walk from the hotel to the main walking street. No need to drive back and forth. Would come back to stay.

We booked here for 3 nights but only stayed 2. Whilst we are sure it is probably one of the best places to stay in Pai it is not exactly as per the photos that are using wide angle lenses The pool is quite small and shadowed by foliage with few loungers The rooms are quite basic and not worth the premium price we paid. The walls are paper thin and you can hear rooms both sides of you talking through the walls. However the breakfast is always nice and we do recommend the fruit with yoghurt and the staff very kind. It’s also a perfect walk across the bridge to Pai town centre
