good location, clean & great breakfast”
favehotel is very close (1.5 blocks) to the Losari Beach area so many fireworks could be seen from our room. Plus we walked through the vendors along Losari beach before midnight. There were many people out enjoying the evening. The beach area was packed with vendors selling food, clothes, rides, etc. And the hotel had a special New Years eve dinner too. We walked everywhere from the hotel without problems including Losari Beach, gold ally, restaurant row, Ft. Rotterdam. The room was basic but very clean, good air conditioning with hot water and strong free wifi in the 8th floor room. Included a kettle for making tea or cup of noodles. Small amount of hall noise due to excited children but it was New Year's eve. The breakfast buffet was great. It offered: western omelet, toast and jam, coffee, tea, many different noodle dishes, congee, fruit and fruit juice. The noodle dishes changed daily. We enjoyed the breakfasts the most. There is a pool next to the lobby and a small lobby bar. The hotel staff was friendly and very accommodating.

if you travelling to Makassar n need hotel with minimum budget, you can choose this hotel. Nearest to Losari beach only 5-10 minutes walk, more restaurant around hotel. if you wanna use taxi , there are many taxi in front of hotel. their breakfast so variant, room was clean. but, their towel so old. overall, i recomend this hotel for traveller with minimum budget or travelling with family. you can request connecting room if you're traveller with family.

Fave Hotel is definitely the best value/budget hotel so far in Makassar. It's location is in the central of Makassar and just a short-walk to the Losari beach. The disadvantage is just for the parking location that small and only could accomodate several cars. But they also have a valet parking, so the hotel will arrange our car park. Recommended for business travelers.

this was a great experience to stay in Favehotel. the hotel is new, so the room and public facilities is clean and tidy. I couldn't give any review about food/ dining, because I take the standard room (breakfast not included). This hotel is very near with Losari Beach, about 5-10 minutes walk. And near with souvenir shop, local restaurant, and Stella Maris Hospital. the staff was very helpful to get us the taxi to go to airport.

I went to makassar with two of my friend.it's nice they have triple room. The bad things are the stair in front of the lobby and the food. The stair is so high. It's a problem if u bring big luggage. fortunately the bellboy help us the food no taste. Beside it, everything is good. the room is clean..they make up the room everyday. the location, its next to center of foodcourt, and losari. If u looking for the handicraft its easy to reach as well.

Good Budget/Business Hotel + How to Get to Toraja”
I spent 2 nights here before going to Toraja. Taxi fare from the airport was around IDR 120k + some tolls that you have to pay the driver (IDR 3k, 4k, 8.5k etc - have small change) & going back to the airport was IDR 112 + tolls. To the Manggala bus garage (where you are then taken to the bus station) was IRD 75k. Staff speaks passable English for basic needs, but probably can’t help you much. For Toraja, I went to the nearby tourism office where nobody was there to help me BUT then I bumped into some SwissConnect people who have an office in the back. They were nice enough to call these bus operators (spelling?) to make a bus reservation: - Manggala: 582-828 - Metro: 582-734 - Bintang Prima: 477-2888 It took several calls to get through & make the reservation with Manggala for IDR 130k (no commission) as one bus company was not going to Toraja that Friday morning. When I came back from Toraja, I also spent a night and I think I paid more (the reservation still says Standard Room), but this time there was a water boiler in the room with some tea / coffee. So I am not sure why the first time I stayed, my room did not have that (but again, I had paid slightly less the first time). Internet was speedy, they provide free water/soap/toothbrushes & they should ask if you want a smoking or non-smoking room. Losari Beach, Fort Rotterdam & Jl. Somba OPU (parallel to the beach, 1 block in where stores sell souvenirs) are a short walk away. As for the restaurant and unless you go for the buffet, expect the usual relaxed Indonesian level of service & a minimum 30-45+ minutes wait for something as simple to make as Mie Goreng. If you are in a hurry or really hungry, walk around the corner to the road going to Losari Beach and make a right. When you get to the end in a few minutes (at the “beach” road), take another right and walk a few shop fronts toward the Circle K convenience store to Palos Café N’ Resto. Its run by Indochinese & you will be eating in 5 minutes.
