Charming heritage property in a nice location”
did quite a bit of research on hotel options as this was my first visit to cambodia. had read decent reviews in agoda and trip advisor about the fcc angkor hotel. i liked that it was a small boutique hotel, that at some point had served as the french governor's holiday home in siem reap. i wanted to stay away from the large international chains and go for a local hotel, but wasnt prepared to rough it out by staying in a guest house. the fcc is definitely pricier than most 4-star hotels, but worth the extra dollars if you want a little bit of luxury, history, and don't mind paying extra for a wonderful location. the hotel is in the quiet and better part of town, right behind the royal residence and across from the raffles hotel. since i was traveling solo and a first-timer to siem reap, it was importsnt for me to pick a location where i would feel safe; this definitely fit the bill. although it is a bit a walk to the town center, if you want to get to pub street or the old market and angkor night market for shopping, these are a 5-minute tutktuk ride away, costing $1.50 one way. don't pay more than that! suites are named after herbs and spices. i stayed at the banana blossom which faces out to the garden, instead of the pool. this actually worked well for me as it offered more privacy; less noise from guests using the pool. the rooms are tastefully done in asian minimalist theme, using warm shades of burnt orange with citrus hues. on cost, again the price point is on the high side and you can definitely get decent lodging for less, i.e. $50. since july is lean season, was fortunate to get a room at the 50% off ($65 / night). i think this is a fair price for this type of property, but with the numerous options now available in siem reap (several new hotels being built), i would hesitate to pay more than that on my next visit.
Chic Boutique in great location”
This is a great little hotel. Spent two nights here with my husband while doing the Angkor Wat tour circuit, and it was a lovely experience, starting right when we landed at Siem Reap. Our airport pick-up went smoothly, which in my experience is rare when arriving past 9pm in Southeast Asia. Our driver was friendly, and even had cold bottled water and jasmine hand towels waiting for us in the car. The rooms are a perfect size, and the bathroom was clean with a nice bathtub -- perfect for a post-temple soak. The free wi-fi connection is very strong, both in our room and in common areas. All the meals we had were quite good, and 24-hour room service offering the full restaurant menu was fast and much appreciated when we arrived late the first night. Plus our booking came with a free foot massage for both of us, which we didn't even realize. Fabulous! I'd definitely rather stay in this area as opposed to at the strip of hotels closer to Angkor Wat. We'll definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in Siem Reap.
Location, design, and service”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the FCC hotel in Siem Reap. It was our first trip to Cambodia, and the hotel had been recommended to us by a friend. The hotel is very well located. After seeing where other hotels were located that I had looked at online, we were glad to have chosen the FCC, since it is within walking distance of the old town market and Pub street. All of the hotel's personnel were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious, as well as the other meals (several lunches and one dinner) we had at the FCC's restaurant. We also liked the hotel's architecture and design - low key but stylish. If we were to take another trip to Siem Reap, we would choose the FCC again.
Five Amazing Days Near Angkor”
I spent four and a half days in Siem Reap and the FCC Angkor was my base. They had set me up with a licensed tour guide, for two days. Before the end of the first day, I extended his guiding to four days. His vast knowledge was the high point of my trip as he added a lot of depth to the Khmer history that I had already studied extensively. Dinners were great, after the first night, I would go "downtown" and the Night Market which have a real pulse. Enjoyed the Angkor Palms best of all for real Khmer food. I would recommend a three to six day stay in the area if you want to see more than just the temples. Visiting the Landmine Removal Museum was very emotional and very worthwhile. Side trips to Kulen Mountain and Tonle Sap really rounded out the experience.
The staff was efficient and friendly. They responded very quickly to any demands or needs that you may have. Love the fact that you need not forgo your breakfast even if you are going to catch the sunrise at Angkor Wat. They will serve breakfast to your room starting from 4.30 a.m.!! Now that is what I call service. There are plenty of small touches added to your room to make you stay as comfortable as possible. Even before I arrived at the hotel I had a few enquiries to be made and the staff responded very quickly through e-mail. The rooms in itself was very spacious. Ample space in the bathroom. The room was clean and well attended to. FCC is also famous for its restaurant. Everyone from the locals to friends who have visited Siem Reap kept telling me that the food at their restaurant is really good. So I decided to give it a try and I was not disappointed. Basically, I have nothing but good things to say about the hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.
Charming Hotel and Attentive Staff”
fcc angkor feels like an oasis in the heart of siem reap. it provides visitors with the comfort of a quaint resort, and its staff respond to your needs meticulously. there are many other good hotels in siem reap, but fcc angkor will impress guests with her unique and absorbing charm.
amazing suite, cozy hotel”
we had a great stay in fcc angkor. the location was perfect. the hotel was a way beyond our expectations. we stayed at the palm sugar suite. it was so spacious, the furniture, simple but elegant. the bathroom was huge. we had beautiful flowers in our living room. room service perfect. breakfast delicious. i will definitely go back to fcc in my next trip in siem reap!
swimming pool is nice!”
I'll definitely choose this hotel if I go to Siem Reap again. The design of the rooms and building is very fancy, very quiet as there are no large tour groups. I stayed at Shinta Mani hotel, another "designers-hotel" type of accomodation near FCC, but I would definitely reccomend FCC for similar price. Also, I recommend you tou book "pool view" rooms rather than garden view rooms, as the "garden" is more like corridor.
Sad to leave FCC!”
Everything is close and easy around Siem Reap. We arrived at the hotel and while the FCC pick-up was nowhere to be seen, it only cost a few USD to get a car to take us to FCC. We stayed in the Eucalyptus room on the second floor and it was great. Modern finish and furnishings, beautiful hotel facade, wonderful spa to get massages (complimentary 15 minute foot massages are passed out during check-in), and the breakfast was GREAT. Everything was delivered promptly and there was so much food to choose from. Tuk tuks line up outside of the hotel, so it's easy to get anywhere for 1-2 USD.
Beautiful Art -deco building!”
it was the second time we stayed in the fcc angkor. and we want to return. excellent quiet location to visit the temples and the centre of siem reap. the rooms (we stayed in deluxe) are very nice and near the swimmingpool. very good restaurant where you also get the braekfast. the spa is fantastic.
Best hotel I've ever stayed in”
This is probably the best, most relaxing place I have ever stayed. It was a serious struggle to leave. The building and grounds are beautiful and the whole place was very calm - great if you are in need of peace. Still centrally located but away from the siem reap hustle and bustle. The deal we got from agoda made it very affordable. Breakfast was first rate, and the other meal we had there was good. Easy to rent bikes and tuk tuks from the hotel - not sure if this was more expensive than elsewhere but was generally reasonably priced. Nice pool with enough space to do lengths. Enjoyed out free foot massage and the steam and jacuzzi. The staff were professional, friendly and helpful. It felt like a holiday just being in the hotel.
Charming hotel housed in a colonial building”
FCC Hotel is a 10-minute walk from the market area and restaurants. You can walk along under the path of trees next to the river. The tuk-tuks were parked just outside the hotel so it’s easy to get around the city. The hotel doesn’t have a grand lobby which is fine because their service is warm enough in welcoming the guests. We were given cold towels and cold iced teas to refresh ourselves. The receptionists speak fluent English accompanied with “smiles”! They are also very knowledgeable of the attractions in Siem. The room is clean, nicely decorated, with extra pillows in the closet, and comes with scented oil warmer. We were given cookies and brownies as welcome treats in our room. In case, you want to go to Angkor Wat to see the sunrise, don’t worry about your breakfast. You can order the night before from the room service and they can deliver it to your room at 4:30am! You can request for take-out bags as well. The only downside is that the room is a bit dark and there’s no place to put your luggage. Since it’s a tropical country, there are geckos that might go inside your room so make sure you shut the sliding door. The whole hotel exterior was nicely designed. Don’t forget to take a dip in the salt-water pool. No life-guards available so watch your kids! Breakfast is not buffet type but you get to choose 2 drinks plus 2 dishes-enough to full your stomach. It was a good experience and we will surely come back.
charming, peaceful environment in siem reap”
fcc is lovely hotel in a quiet location but still close enough to all on offer in siem reap. the rooms are set around the saltwater pool which was clean and set in a lovely garden. the rooms are not overly large but adequate with a nice large bathroom. staff were very helpful and when we had power issues in the room they were quick to respond and had it fixed in a matter of minutes. each room has mosquito coils and oil burners but be prepared with personal repellant.
Great hotel, great food”
We stayed in the FFC Angkor Hotel during our trip to Siem Reap / Angkor Wat. It was a great experience. The room was very nice, and the hotel restaurant was even nicer. The spa and swimming pool made this trip very relaxing. I'll surely recommend this hotel when people visit Siem Reap/Angkor Wat. The only thing that can be improved is the friendliness of the hotel staff. They were not always helpful and their English is not very good.
Great place! ”
I booked a last minute weekend trip to Siem Reap, a friend recommended FCC. From being picked up at the airport right through until checkout, the staff were friendly, the property overall was great & only a 10-15 min walk up to Pub Street area. The tour booked for me was very easy also. Would definitely return to FCC.
Haven of tranquility”
Staying in the FCC was a delightful experience and I would stay there again. The staff are helpful and the service is excellent. The atmosphere is very relaxed and tranquil and the pool area is well designed. I really like the bathrooms and the attention to detail. I would highly recommend the FCC as the place to stay in Siem Reap.
New Year @ FCC”
This was our family's first visit to Siem Reap and we couldn't recommend the FCC more highly. They arranged our tours to the temples, tuk tuks, restaurants - anything we asked for - and all in the most helpful way possible. There is always going to be an element of "lost in translation" (and breakfast ordering was interesting!) but the overriding impression from the staff was that they couldn't do enough to help you. We loved it and would certainly recommend it to anyone wishing to visit SR.
Second time ”
Ten years later, it’s back to Siem Reap and FCC- both of which did not disappoint. The hotels location was just as great, the rooms spacious and airy, breakfasts were excellent and cocktails at the bar made for a perfect way to a end a day of sightseeing and shopping. I look forward to being back again FCc!

A true Old World Charm”
FCC is a place that will take you 20 years or more back in time... The Rooms a nicely done in Modern style with all the latest facilities added with an Old world Charm. Its got a really nice swimming pool, which is tempting enough to Dip yourself in everyday. The location is Great, right in the Center of Siem Reap. The breakfast is great and loved their Panini Sandwich!
Very nice hotel, convenient but in quieter area”
The FCC Angkor was overall a super nice stay. They arranged for a complimentary airport pickup which was very nice. Upon arrival, checkin was easy and quick. The hotel grounds are very nice; the rooms are all layed out facing either the swimming pool area or the walkways leading to the pools. The rooms have nice big sliding doors, and are very clean and beautiful put together. The bathrooms here are very nice as well, but be mindful for sharing a room here – the door/enclosure to the bathroom is very thing. The big sliding door is made of slats and not a fully closed door – you can see slightly out through the slat and hear everything. Something to consider if you are sharing the room. Otherwise, the rooms is very nice and the service (they come to turn the beds in the late afternoon) is great. The swimming pool at the hotel was the biggest highlight. Salt water pool is not very big but very nice. There's also a jacuzzi area nearby as well as a spa. Ask about the complimentary 15 minute footrub you'll receive. The dining area up on the 2nd floor is also very nice. The breakfast provided there is very nice, and the lounge area is great for drinks in the evening. There was also good wifi throughout the grounds here, fully complimentary.
