Wonderful place to stay in Siem Reap!”
The architecture is wonderful, staff is very gentle and helpful. The food is really good and not overpriced. Location is perfect. Rooms that overlook the pool are better because they don’t have other rooms just in face. Overall the setting is really wonderful, same for the restaurant area.

They're renovating so I think my complaints may be obsolete. Rooms were old and needed maintenance. Great locale and charming foliage and colonial atmosphere. Lots of mosquitoes but I don't think we can blame them for that!

The stay was remarkable. Staff is very friendly, english is well understood. The place itself is very charming coming from a former French Governor Mansion. The salt water pool is a delight. Accesibility is great, almost all significant places are 10-15 mins away fron tuk tuk.

Superbly-designed surroundings and historic architecture, 5 star standard yet with a personal touch, outstanding resturant and bar
We stayed as a couple for 5 nights in a standard room and are completely satisfied with the room and service. Expect traditional Cambodian warmth and hospitality. Where this hotel stood out was with its personalised feel, starting with each room having its own name rather than a number, through to room scents, complimentary desserts, complimentary foot massage, thoughtful provision of holiday reading etc. Also its restaurant and bar are top notch with a wide choice of served breakfast included in the price, classic drinks such as its own twist on Pimm's, and all taking place in the most delightful of venues, especially in the early mornings as the sunlight strikes the classic architecture.

          Very enjoyable”
Pleasant surrounds, central locations, wonderful pool in pleasant grounds
Very enjoyable; a great base form which to explore the wonders of Angkor and further afield too. It was a great place to come back to at the end of a tiring and dusty day of exploring and relax with a swim and siting out in the garden. The only slight problem we had was not being able to make contact with the hotel (either by email or phone) to confirm our airport pickup before we arrived. We needn't have worried, as they did actually send a confirmation email on the morning we were due to arrive (though we were already flying in from overseas by that time) and off ours, there was someone there to meet us and bring us in comfort to the hotel. However, when the manager heard about this he was extremely apologetic and sent us a fantastic luxury room basket by way of apology. It was a very thoughtful gesture indeed and made our stay even more special.

Helpful service, clean rooms, spa-like feel, excellent tv/audio, delicious breakfast
The front desk was very kind. They offered us a free airport pickup, which was a nice touch. Also, on the last day, we had a late-night flight, so we had to check out early. All the rooms were booked for the next day, so they couldn't offer us a late check-out, but we were able to use the locker rooms in their spa facility to wash up in the evening before heading to the airport. The rooms are very clean, with a spa-like feel. They provide you with scented-oil burners (lemongrass) as well as little candles and incense. They also provide natural soaps, shampoo and body cleanser. The television had channels from all over the world, and had an excellent surround-sound audio system. Our room was on the first floor in front of the pool, which made it difficult to keep the curtains open without sacrificing our privacy. The door to the room is actually a sliding glass door. This is both good and bad, as you need to be careful about letting in mosquitoes each time you open the door. On one day, we signed up for a tour guide through the hotel for a half-day tour. The guide was not as helpful as we had hoped, even claiming that our tour was only supposed to last for three hours rather than the agreed-upon four hours. After returning to the hotel, we complained to the front-desk and they offered us a 50% discount on the tour, which was reasonable given that our four-hour tour ended up being cut to two hours. Our tuk-tuk driver "Sam" was wonderful. Very nice and gracious. We would recommended him wholeheartedly. The location is good. It's about a 12-minute walk -- and a 1-2 dollar tuk-tuk ride -- to the Old Market area. The breakfast is excellent as is the food in general (we had dinner there on the last evening and it was very fresh and innovative.)

          Fantastic restaurant with great services
FCC was a great place to return to after spending the day exploring Angkor Wat and surrounding temples. They were flexible and able to cater early breakfast (4.30am) for our sunrise trip. Rooms were well kept and house keeping comes twice a day. The English breakfast was the best I ever had and we even had lunch in the restaurant and it was just as good. We have dinner in FCC in Phnom Penh as well - somewhat addicted to FCC. The location is USD2 away from Pub Street which is 3 mins tuk tuk ride - good if you don't want to be in the hustle of the main district and yet not to far away. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay in FCC Angkor and given the discounted price, its well worth it. Definitely return again!

A boutique hotel located in a garden setting”
Few rooms, garden setting, airy coffee shop
I enjoyed staying in this small hotel very much indeed (approx 36 rooms). The reception staff were professional and happy in their work. During check-in all aspects of the hotel were explained; bags were delivered quickly. My ground-floor room was large, well appointed, very clean and had a large sliding french window leading directly to the garden/pool area. Sony plasma TV, coffee/tea maker/mini-bar/safe were all present. The coffee shop was located on the first floor and open to the environment on two sides. Ceiling fans kept the air moving. The breakfast a la carte menu was comprehensive (no buffet) and excellently cooked. The waiters and waitresses were polite, efficient and smartly dressed. Spoken English was no problem for the hotel staff. As with many 'garden setting' hotels in the far east mosquitos are present everywhere. However the hotel has installed electric mosquite 'zappers' around the hotel - which to a very large extent manage the problem - but a can of mosquite spray will not go amiss! The hotel is about 15 minutes from the airport and is a 12 minute walk away from the 'Old Town' and 'Pub Street' which provide al fresco dining and many bars for evening enjoyment. FCC has a sister hotel in Phnom Penh

we were in siem reap during flooding and it was great to have a quiet oasis to come back to. the pool was wonderful. the staff were friendly and happy to help with any questions we had. the only negative comment we had was that the bed was made a little untidly when we arrived - loose corners, sheet not covering the foot of the mattress etc. but the next day it was exactly as we expected - perhaps just an off day for housekeeping.
