Idyllic!”
We had the best experience staying here!! It was easy to find, around the corner from the night market, beautiful lush property, the meals were fantastic- many options for vegetarians- and staff service was exceptional!!! It was one of our favorite places to stay in Thailand! I took sooo many photos of the grounds and the sweet calm dogs and kitty! The tourists at the night market were obnoxious in my opinion but I loved all the yummy food available by the locals. Soooo many strawberries and grilled corn and the best fries and smoothies! I bought an amazing linen top and pair of pants from a local shop on the main strip! I wish we could have stayed longer and sent their information to many friends and family!

Wonderful stay on the Mae Hong Song loop”
This is a beautiful resort. The grounds are incredible. Breakfast is good. Yes the rooms are a bit dated, but we found them to be perfectly find considering the price and the amazing facilities on the grounds. in addition to the styling there's plenty of cute dogs. The dogs will walk the nearby hike with you. Staff should remove the sweater of the dog though. Would definitely visit again when in the area. Just go here!

Highly Recommended!”
Fern Resort was a great choice for a stay in Mae Hong Son. While the resort is a short drive outside of the town itself, it is absolutely worth it. The room was spacious and clean and had a nice porch to overlook the stream. The weather was cool at night and we didn’t even need to use the air-conditioner in the room. The breakfast was large and delicious. The resort itself was stunning — nicely tucked into the surrounding jungle. The infinity pool overlooking the bright green rice paddies was especially nice. And, the staff were all very nice and helpful. We would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the town and want to go back soon.

Best accommodation we ever had!”
Hands down by a landslide this blew our minds. We came for an overnight stay and prolonged it for another day just for the beauty of the place. We visited it in the rainy season so the rice was green and vibrant making it a perfect experience. Staff here is out of this world and deserve compliments of the highest order for their hospitality and attitude. Rooms and bungalows were perfect with a lot of attention to detail, pool was clean and nice, with towels at hand for the guest. Their restaurant holds the record for the best khao pad gai we had in Thailand - and we basically try it wherever we go all the time, so it speaks volumes. I will most definitively be coming back if for nothing - for this place alone.

5 star service in a 3 star hotel!”
The staff was so kind, especially the ladies at the reception! They were very helpful in finding me a mean of transport from the hotel to Chiang Mai. They also helped me with other arrangements during my travel. The hotel is also very clean and comfortable with amazing swimming pool. I will definitely go back.

Very green ”
Both of us loved this place so much that we wanted to lengthen our stay. It's very green with lots of trees and plants and water. But surprisingly, no mosquitos at all! Our room lies next to a small spring and we had a balcony to drink morning tea by the spring. Very enjoyable. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was great!

Lovely stay”
Lovely grounds and friendly staff. Went on a wonderful 4 hour hike right from the resort - lots of ups and downs and two waterfalls. We were late for our checkout time because of the hike and they were very accommodating.

Quiet, peaceful…just perfect ”
What an amazing place to stay. In the midst of nature, close to a 2.5 hour jungle trail (can take the dogs from the resort if you plan to go alone) and don’t miss the yoga classes. Amazing morning and afternoon classes. The pool overlooking the rice paddies - don’t miss the sunset there. I will be back for sure.

Tranquility in a green oasis. ”
This is such a beautiful place you can’t help but relax. The staff and owner are exceptional and always had a smile and greeting for everyone. They even showed me how to make flowers from pandan leaves! We loved it so much we booked another night and wish we could have stayed longer. They have 2 pools to relax by but our favourite was the infinity pool overlooking the rice fields. The thatched villas are spaced far enough apart to give you your own space and privacy and well equipped with everything you need. Even down to the handmade natural soap & shampoo. I can’t recommend this place highly enough if you want peace and quiet and a chance to completely relax surrounded by nature. We will definitely be back one day!

Tropical Thai paradise meets Cancun design”
Visited Pai Island while bike riding the Mae Hon Song Loop. Beautiful Cancun reminiscent designed room with Thai design separate cottages/villas. All hidden away behind natural bamboo fencing. Quaint gardens and overall design very pleasant. Rooms were spotless and bed very large and exceedingly comfortable even with my chronic bad and painful hip. Absolute silence at night except for the quietly croaking frogs (rainy season now). Mini bar with cold drinks and snack. No shared pool but each villa has its own sala with natural palm leafed covered plunge spa styled pool and lounge in complete privacy. Easy to find Pai Island with Google Maps. For those riding or driving the popular 'Loop' when trekking off the next day you simple either turn left of right depending on which way you decide to ride this beautiful winding, mountainous country road to continue your Loop journey. Breakfast was very tasty. .

Absolutely beautiful!”
Fern resort is a beautiful resort located just out of Mae Hong Son town. While the surrounding mountains may look dry, once you enter the driveway, you enter a beautiful tropical oasis. It is so peaceful and the staff are super friendly. If you have never tried a Shan spice curry, you should treat yourself. It’s not spicy but very delicious. No TV in the room we stayed in and it was a nice change. If I could give 10 stars for a review I would. Having drinks by the infinity pool watching the sun go down over the rice field was bliss.

Peaceful, beautiful and friendly”
My wife and I stayed here for one night whilst travelling the Mae Hong Son loop. It was our favourite hotel of the week long trip. Sitting out with a coffee in the morning to the sound of the surrounding jungle was the highlight for me. The infinity pool couldn’t be in a more perfect location and was a highlight too. All staff were friendly and helpful. I’ll be telling everyone who’s travelling to Thailand about this place! Great memories! Thanks y’all!

Stunning setting”
The setting of the resort is absolutely stunning! I could have set at the pool all day watching the masses of butterflies in the flower fields. The bathrooms of the bungalows are a bit dated but the room itself was nice and quite spacious. Breakfast was a nice little buffet with everything you need and the staff is really nice and helpful.

A fantastic retreat!”
This hotel is a fantastic retreat from the city! It is next to the hills, has lots of high trees and their total green space is massive, maybe 90% of the resort area. You truly get a sense that you are at one with nature. The room itself is comfortable, spacious and clean so you don’t trade being in the nature with being unhygienic. Highly recommended for those who love the nature.

Lovely resort, only downside is the beds are very hard but the lovely lady at reception gave us 2 extra blankets to help make them softer

Beautiful resort in the jungle ”
The resort is bigger than we expected it to be from pictures. It was great to be surrounded by lush greenery and starry sky. Bungalows are cozy and very comfortable, restaurant area is nice as well. There are two pools, but it was too chilly to enjoy it at the end of December. I'd say it is the best place to stay in Mae Hong Son.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in (for many times now)”
Lovely staff, amazing landscape, gorgeous sunset and bonfire... Most of the times I stayed at The Fern in December, when it is relatively cold in the evenings, but the bonfire is a romantic solution to this. Behing the restaurant - where they serve organic vegetables from their own garden - you can go for a 2hour or 4 hour hike to lovely waterfalls... They made a second nature swimming pool in the rice fields and there is a sunset bar. Do I need to tell more? Enjoy your stay!
