A GUEST FRIENDLY PLACE FOR SOLO OR GROUP TRAVELLER”

Fern Loft is ideally situated in the heart of Chinatown in KL and its close proximity with rail and road transport hub is a plus. All amenities are available within couple of minutes of walking distance. I would highly recommend Fern Loft to Single Traveler as its a safe and economical place for exploring KL.

    Cheap & Centrally located

Location: Really great. I love it. Next to Pasar Seni MRT Station. Same row with 24-hrs convenience store 7-11, just across Central Market, 5 minutes walking to Petaling Street, the heaven of copycat item. Room: 4-bed dorm room not so popular. On the first day, only 2 beds occupied, second day, 3 beds occupied. I had a peek at the many-beds dorm, it was so pack and seem hot. But it was nice because you can meet other traveler. The room is clean. Aircond: At first, i thought the AC got a problem. But not, the AC will not operate on a day, only at night. The AC is working properly and quiet cold. No remote to control the temperature. Security: The use the keycard. You need your card to open the entrance door. To enter your floor area, you again need your keycard. So, it is quiet safe. Toilet: They have many toilets, bathrooms. Clean. So, I had no problem at all with this. Breakfast: Well, I did not took any breakfast while staying here even though they served the breakfast because I always wake up late.

Value for money, Train station easy to find”

Easy access to transportation, Close to attractions, Decent room

Really convenient for travelling. Train station and bus terminal are within 100 metres from hostel, from this train station Pasar Seni one can directly get to KL Sentral or KLCC - without any change of train lines along the way. From the bus terminal one can take the free shuttle bus to get to Bukit Bintang which is the shopping center district. Petaling Street Market is pretty much just round the corner, Central Market which sells souvenirs is just across the road. Room is simple and clean, light breakfast provided, free Wi-Fi, shared computers and TV at leisure corner.

    Bed bugs experience”

This is my first experience with the bed bugs I heard about travelling. I had a Japanese girl room mate and upon arrival on my room, I have noticed that she is wearing face mask soon to find out that the reason why is wearing the mask is that she has a lot of bites from bed bugs which she have shown me and even show the pictures of bed bugs she have caught on his mobile phone. I am so worried so I left the next day and just let go of my remaining days of booking..

    Breakfast... can be better”

Breakfast was provided but it was only bread and butter/margarine. Coffee machine only dispensed diluted coffee and tea. Not sure if microwave oven works. Looked pretty damaged. Toaster switch didn't lock at the bottom so i had to hold it until my slice of bread was warmed. Second stay but a little disappointed than the first. First stay was actually okay.

The floors under the bunk beds at the mixed dormitory rooms need to be clean & tidy up everyday b`cos I noticed that there are waste papers & plastic bags under my lower bunk bed which are not disposed off and discovered a few bed bugs on my bed during the 3 nights stay.Next day, when I woke up at 5 am,there is one male guest being bited by the bed bugs, saw him applying the medication ointment on his arms, legs & body. Please be reminded that cleanliness at the hostels or guesthouses are very important to all hostels operators & guests.

All was good and great value for money. Location is perfect. Nice staff. Only 2 bad points. 1. The whole hostel smells bad but you get used to the smell 2. Aircon in the dorm far too low but just wear a few extra layers and you'll be fine

Dirty, but awesome staff that will save you if you're in trouble”

The carpets here are super nasty. Just walking barefoot on them is enough to make your feet itch. On the flip side, its location is great and the staff are fantastic. A female customer returned drunk one night and the taxi drivers held her in the car trying to force more money out of her. When the hostel manager saw this, she when outside and single handedly confronted and fought with the drivers while another staff member called the police. The intoxicated customer was eventually rescued thanks to the staff's efforts.

    Location Location price

The place is right across from Pasar seni station opposite the central market. The location is great and it is easy to find. It's good for the price and for the young travellers. Checking in made me realise I'm not suited to that kind of travel anymore. Although I decided not to sleep there I think it is a good place to stay for youngsters and the location is perfect.

really friendly staff. in the center of chinatown. easily access to public transport.

The staff if REALLY friendly and helpful. The price is low. Bathroom cleaniness is acceptable. However, the bed is not clean and smell bad. I even get biten by bed bugs and it cause itchiness over my whole body that makes me cant sleep!!! I booked a 8 ppl female dorm but get a gentleman sleep in a female dorm. The room is hot too. It din cause any prob and they are willing to "update" me to 20ppl female dorm. That's not worth it. It's not reccomend to stay if you are alone. But i wouldnt go there again. The bed bugs prob may be solve if u ask the staff, i believe they're willing to help.
