Great restaurant/cafe space that's open to the central garden, and cool, tidy rooms with just enough amenities.

Nice hotel with friendly staff & a great location”
Feung Nakorn balcony is an excellent option for the budget traveler. The rooms are basic, but all the necessary components for traveler comfort are there: A/C, a flatscreen tv, a room safe, showers with hot water, an armoire, a mini-fridge, etc. There is free wi-fi and the beds are incredibly comfortable (in a firm way). The hotel building itself is not beautiful, per se, but the courtyard full of lush greenery and the fountain is a nice oasis during the day and night. The bar area near the koi pond also feels very luxurious and the second floor Café in the building facing the street is a wonderful, air-conditioned oasis with Lavazza coffee drinks! My friend and I were also very happy with the food coming out of the kitchen; the prices were super-reasonable for hotel food and everything we ordered was really delicious (especially the soups!). The staff really went out of their way to provide great service, but in an unobtrusive way. For example, when we went to sit by the koi pond at night, the manager sent someone over to plug in a fan to cool us off right away! When we sat down for dinner, another staffer placed a citronella candle near our table to fend off bugs. The staff was also super-accommodating any requests that we had. One additional little quirk is that the shower does not have a “lip” to catch the water, although the shower curtain helps. This means that the water goes right onto the bathroom floor. However, there was not water drainage problem, but having a some way to contain the water from the shower would have been nice. Overall, though, I would highly recommend the Feung Nakorn balcony not only to budget travelers, but for those seeking a welcoming and lovely little oasis close to the major tourist attractions in Bangkok.
Feung Nakorn Balcony”
I loved Feung Nakorn Balcony. My Room was great looking & comfortable (and had enough space for my Yoga mat) It was the best room I had in my Thailand trip & the most comfortable Bed! The hotel was pretty; I loved it's courtyard garden & fish pond as well as the chairs & lounging area, which I took advantage to sit and read by when I was done site seeing for the day. The staff was young, professional and super helpful with my questions and almost everyone had perfect English. I will stay at Feung Nakorn Balcony again when I return to Bangkok and have already recommended it to fellow travelers before I even left Thailand! The location was great and close enough to all the sites that you could walk (they even have little walking maps at the desk) or a quick tuk tuk ride away. The Cafe has decent food as well and I ate there often, in fact next time I will get a breakfast included room option. If if had to find a flaw it would be that the rooms were not super sound proof so if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs as you may hear other guests or city noise a bit, although to be honest I found the same issue with everywhere I stayed in Thailand.
this is a must stay in bangkok. near wat pho and palace, it's easy to get around to most tourist areas, and you're in the heart of a normal bangkok neighborhood. set back off the street, feung nakorn balcony is quiet, calm, and lovely. this hotel was much more than we expected for the price. you definitely get your money's worth and more. plus, it is absolutely spotless. the service is brilliant, too! the staff goes out of their way to help you with whatever you need. after looking at so many places online (our first time to bangkok), i can't believe our good fortune in landing at feung nakorn balcony.
Great place for your trip to Bangkok !”
We love our staying in Feung Nakorn Balcony. This place is very nice, quiet and clean ! The room is lovely with beautiful wall color. And air conditioner is very good, we need that in hot Bangkok ! Every day we got mineral water and snacks (please note that the snacks are free of charge !). The other thing we love is its location, near tourist attractions such like Grand Palace, Sleeping Buddha and Wat Arun. You can go there by walking (if you want to have sigh seeing), or by tuk tuk. There is morning market very close to hotel, every morning we love to go there to find interesting local food which are very delicious. There is also a very interesting small shop which sells ice cream on the alley to this hotel. Every day after hot tiring trip we stopped there to have some yummy ice cream. If you want to go to Siam Paragon or Pratunam, just go there by taxi meter which will only cost you around 70 Baht. So again, this hotel is in a very good location. We love it !
Perfect in many ways”
We stayed here from Christmas for three days and had a suite which was a treat for us. For me it was perfect, it was decorated in a lovely individual style and felt homely. It was large and comfy and I loved it. Location wise it is only a 10 minute walk to the main tourists streets of Koh San and Rambuttri (although not just tourists there). It was a great location, out of the craziness but near enough to visit, amongst local people and good, cheap local food, plus near all the major sights and temples in this area of Bangkok. It was not busy while we were there so that meant we did not meet people at the hotel, although it has a nice bar for doing so. It felt very peaceful there. I would not hesitate to recommend Feung Nakorn Balcony.
Lovely gem in Old City”
We had a wonderful stay at Feung Nakorn Balcony. Our triple room was spacious, charmingly decorated, and had a lovely view of the pond in the hotel courtyard. Everything was new and spotless-- and quite pretty! The owner was extremely friendly, and she and her staff were very helpful in planning itineraries, etc. As it is located in a quiet part of the Old City, many attractions are reachable only by cab. However, the palace, a number of wats, and Khao San Rd are all walking distance. The hotel is also located around the corner from the amazing restaurant Chote Chitr. I would definitely stay again!
Best way to see old town”
Feung Nakorn Balcony is well positioned in old town to see all the Wats and the Grand Palace, at the same time little bit away from Khao San Road to enjoy the quiet at night. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and wifi signal was strong. Old town can be a challenge with cabs and tuktuks at night, so it was a perfect place to stay for a few nights and enjoy the area before moving more centrally to enjoy the rest of Bangkok. The breakfast was a bit poor, so if you can book a room without the breakfast option, save some money and go out and grab something else.
the feung nakorn balcony is a new hotel. it is wonderfully situated for all the wat's in the area. the flower market is a couple blocks south from the hotel. it is difficult to access for taxis - some do not seem to know where it is. this is a hotel in an area that has not seen hotels. i can recommend staying here if you are interested in being close to the attractions and want quality, clean and inexpensive place to stay. rooms have safes. it is a quite retreat - set away from koh san road. local street vendor was the best dinner we had in bangkok. - sets up outside the hotel at night. it may be worthwhile getting your order written in thai.
Excellent location near Grand Palace and Wat Pho”
Feung Nakorn Balcony was a great hotel/hostel near the Grand Palace and Wat Pho. It was very convenient if you want to visit those sites. The room we were in (economy quad sharing) was just the right size for our group. It was also clean and had AC. While the bathroom was shared, it still felt private since the bathroom services the two 4 person rooms in that section. Really happy with the stay and would recommend! Also, the website has map and directions which you can print out to hand to a driver. It's in Thai so it's super helpful!
Just what we needed”
After a late arrival in Bangkok, this location is exactly what we needed. We were first time visitors to Bangkok and being able to see the sites without getting a cab or taking public transport saved us a lot of time and money. The public space is very nice. We stuck around in the garden and had some lovely breakfast and strong coffee on some rainy mornings. Absolutely worth it to stay at feung nakorn balcony.
Beautiful room overlooking historic Bangkok”
my wife and i stayed at feung nakorn balcony upon arriving in bangkok. it was our first trip to thailand and neither of us knew what to expect. we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. the room we stayed in was spacious and luxurious. there is a nightly collection of food carts that set up on the bridge over the canal which serves delicious food.
Stayed here for the first time in Sept 2016 and will definately stay here again. Converted from a middle school, this place is close to the Swing and Wat Suthat. There is a morning market that fills the alleys behind the hotel... a good market! Lots of small noodle shops, etc. to explore in the immediate neighborhood. Walkable to the Phrang Nara neighborhood, with its array of good places to eat, as well as the area between Tanao Street and the Bangkok Metropolitan Authority on Dinso Street. The richest lode of small lunch places in the Bangkok area. Staff at the Feung Nakorn are very resourceful and accommodating.
A very nice hotel.”
i stayed four nights at the feung nakorn balcony and have no real complaints. ok, the cable signal was weak and the hotel was a little bit tough to find but we overcame that obstacle. the staff were superb. they were always doing their best to assist. the restaurant was good and the landscaping/water features in the courtyard of the horseshoe shaped facility were impeccable. i would have no problem staying here again in the future.
Clean, great value, amazing breakfast ”
My stay at Feung Nakorn Balcony was excellent. I stayed in a dorm room with air-conditioning and there are large lockers available for free inside the room. Very convenient. Most of the hotel is standard rooms so they have a really good breakfast buffet that you can get even staying in the dorms. I ended up staying several nights because of the value.
Nice refuge with a few drawbacks”
The Feung Nakorn is a quiet, pleasant refuge from the Bangkok traffic and noise, and I recommend it for those who want to be close to major sights. It's within a 10-minute walk of the Wat Pho, Grand Palace, and the riverwalk restaurants and shops near Pier 6. The rooms are spacious and clean and the beds are large and firm--a little softer than the standard rock-hard Asian mattress. On the downside, the wifi was sometimes weak and slow, and it was necessary to get a new password every three days. The A/C was also weak; my room seldom felt comfortably cool, which was a problem on really hot days. The staff didn't quite understand my request for a fan in the room. On the whole, the Feung Nakorn is a pleasant place to stay for the money. The daily breakfast is good and filling, if a bit monotonous. Many of the staff speak at least some English and are responsive and eager to be helpful.
New Boutique Hotel w/ Great Staff & Location”
the young staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful! they were very kind in changing our rez to a later date when our arrival was flight delayed (agoda.com helped too be e-mailing them) courtyard reception area was very attractive, rooms, beds and shower were all newly done up and comfortable. this is a great walking location between the grand palace, wat pho and khao san rd. cabs have some trouble finding it (because its new and not near other hotels)- but telling them that its by wat ratchaprobit may help - they really should know feung nakorn(nakhon)rd. though.
Trip to Bangkok”
The hotel is situated in a very nice and not all too touristic place, just in front of a temple. The only problem with the location is that most taxi/tuk tuk drivers do not know it. The staff is friendly and respectuful but doesn't really seem to be interested in their guests. There is a wiede range of breakfasts to be chosen and a lot of food is served. I would go back to Feung Nakorn Balcony.
Unexpected nice-decorated hotel in a city”
Feung Nakorn Balcony is my recommended city hotel to visit if you come to Bangkok, and would like to be in a cool, calm and nice place, but still very close to city and attractive places.
Great Hotel, Friendly and Helpful staff”
Feung Nakorn Balcony is a great little place to stay in Bangkok! staff is friendly, wifi works very well all over the hotel, breakfast is good enough to get a starter on the day!
i used to stay on or near khaosan road many times over the years and always felt it was convenient. but like most other travelers i felt i had to get out after 2 days or so as it was just too much. i never actually felt i got to know bangkok or enjoyed it properly. this hotel changed all this for me. it is only 8 minute walk from khaosan road but also close to to the flower market (5 minutes). it also is surrounded by the most important and really enjoyable temples and historic sites. the locals eat on the street and the food is excellent for a third of the price on khaosan road. we even met locals and made friends when eating on the street. ceos and small company owners eat here for a dollar a meal at open street set-ups. the room was like a small apartment. luxury and brand new. great beds and tv and bathroom etc. the highlight for us was the canal near-by and all the alleys around the hotel. this is a quiet bangkok and really enjoyable. we stayed and extra 2 nights and are returning soon to stay longer again to explore more of the real bangkok.
