The Municipality of San Juan, Siquijor releases the official Fishing Ban Schedule for Calendar Year 2026 pursuant to Municipal Ordinance No. 2023-23, “An Ordinance Establishing a Fishing Ban and Regulation of All Sea Water Related Activities.”
The ban covers the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th day after every New Moon each month, within the municipal waters of San Juan.
All fishers, residents, and visitors are advised to strictly observe these dates to protect our marine resources and ensure sustainable fishing practices.
Snorkeling and Swimming: Prohibited within the Tubod Marine Sanctuary on the same days. Swimming (White Sand Area):

Despite the bumpy start (our room had a very strong chemical smell and were moved to an other smaller room for one night but eventually to a nice room with own veranda) we really enjoyed our stay. It was very quiet and peaceful, exactly what we needed. Pick-ups, scooter rental, trip to Apo Island were all well arranged. We also got a big help with flight changes. We really liked that the resort had a earthy feel to it, no marble or blingbling.
Stay: December 28, 2025 – January 2, 2026 (5 nights) My husband and I stayed at Coco Grove Beach Resort for five nights, starting in Plantation Room 1 and later transferring to Coco View, Room 207, in the main reception building. Unfortunately, our stay began with an inconvenient room-change situation. We booked through Agoda, but it appears that multiple online booking systems are used and they don’t always sync properly. As a result, we were informed that we could not stay in one room for the duration of our visit and had to switch rooms mid-stay, which was very disruptive, especially during a holiday period. We received an email from the reservations team explaining that while they tried to block one room for our entire stay, some rooms had already been reserved by other guests and the OTA systems only show availability by room category, not by specific room and date. While we appreciate the explanation, this same issue also happened to our friends who booked through Booking.com. Since it occurred on multiple platforms, it seems this is something Coco Grove should address more proactively. The check-in experience was not pleasant, and some gesture such as complimentary drinks would have gone a long way in easing the inconvenience. Now, onto the resort itself. The beach is long and beautiful, with lovely outdoor dining and plenty of space to relax. However, guests should be cautious of the rocky entry into the water. One late morning around 11 a.m., I had difficulty finding a free beach lounger with proper cushions and pillows. Since this was peak season, it felt like the resort could have been better prepared. When the property is full, staff should ensure that all beach areas are well stocked with seating and cushions. There are three restaurants on the property, (only two for breakfast) and each offers different breakfast options, so I recommend trying them both. The food was very good, and the service was excellent. We especially bonded with one wonderful waitress named JeanRose who truly made our dining experience memorable. The New Year’s Eve buffet, fire dancing show and musical entertainment were fantastic and one of the highlights of our stay. I even ended up dancing with the resort manager, a petite woman with incredible energy. The band also invited two very talented guests from Spain to join them on stage, and their performance added a fun, international flair to the evening. The dive shop experience, however, was disappointing. It felt disorganized, with a lack of clear leadership and communication. My husband requested specific weights but did not receive what he asked for, and there was little to no briefing on procedures. In addition, our tanks were consistently underfilled, measuring only about 2,800 psi when hot. I also wanted to do a night dive on December 30 and was repeatedly told it wasn’t possible. After persistent follow-up, I was finally able to go and ended up having a pleasant night dive with another couple from Germany. Unfortunately, the shop didn’t even have a dive light available to rent for Carmen, who was joining us on the dive. I asked for a small nitrox tank and got it only for one day dive not the night dive. Thank you for making the night dive happen in the end, as night diving is truly my passion. On a positive note, we rented a car and explored several land-based activities, including caves, a cenote-like underground river, and waterfall hikes. These adventures were a lot of fun and added great value to our trip. When we left, the entire female reservations team came out to personally say goodbye, which was such a thoughtful and touching gesture. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained, the rooms are clean, and the staff throughout the resort - in the restaurants, hotel, spa, gym, and at reception were consistently kind, professional, and welcoming.

We had a wonderful experience here in Coco Grove They have complementary hotel pick up and drop off so be sure to avail them. Our OceanJet trip was late so I was worried that they have alredy left us but once we arrived at the port, their service was easy to spot with our names written on a blackboard. They have separate service for the luggages and for the guests. It was all very fancy as we rode a van shuttle to the resort. While inside the van, the staff already gave us some information about the island and the overview of the amenities and complementary services at the resort. Check in process was very easy. We were welcomed with a watermelon shake upon arrival and a staff was ready to assist us to our room. The room that we booked was very spacious and the view was stunning. The aircon gets cold enough and the room was clean. There was ample storage space (1 cabinet) to store your things. They also have separate towels for bathing and going to the beach/pool (the striped ones). Our room was located at the third floor but they have elevator going there so no need to worry if you have heavy luggage. The Resort is HUGEE. After settling down, we walked around and took advantage of their complementary beach activity (kayak). The staff were very friendly and assisted us in the kayak. I believe guests also have complementary use of their snorkels. For dinner, they have a fire dance event complementary if you dine in their restaurant which we did. It as an amazing experience. They also have a complementary breakfast which is great. We ate near the beach so the view is very relaxing. They have 3 pools (as far as I can remember), my favorite is the small temple pool on the far right side of the resort as there are no people swimming there. What we loved about the resort is that even after check out, they still let us roam inside the resort (I thought that after check out, we aren't aloud inside anymore). We even availed their free yoga classes even after checking out. This is one of the best resorts I have been to. We will be back soon. This is a great resort if you just want to rest and chill inside the resort. You really have to make the most out of your stay since it is a bit pricey. I recently stayed four nights at Coco Grove Beach Resort on Siquijor Island, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, always greeting us with genuine smiles and making sure we had everything we needed. Their warmth and hospitality really made the stay special. I stayed in two different rooms, both very clean, comfortable, and well-kept. The resort has direct access to a beautiful beach with stunning sunset views, and one of the island’s most famous snorkeling spots is right there within the resort — perfect for exploring vibrant marine life without having to go far. This was my third time staying at Coco Grove Beach Resort, and once again, it did not disappoint. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating — even with short notice, they managed to arrange a memorable tour for us. Although we didn’t go on the Apo Island tour this time, they suggested an excellent alternative that allowed us to explore and enjoy the beautiful island of Siquijor. One of the highlights of our stay was the Monday Barbecue Night. The food was absolutely delicious — freshly grilled and full of flavor, served in a lively and welcoming atmosphere that made the evening extra special. The resort itself continues to impress with its relaxing vibe, clean and comfortable accommodations, and stunning beachfront views. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel at home while still offering the charm of a tropical getaway. I’ve been here three times already, and I can confidently say — I’ll be coming back again very soon!
I had a long vacation. An 11 day cruise from South Korea to Japan, followed by 4 nights in Manila, 4 nights in Siquijor, and 4 nights in Boracay. I tell you thid because out of all the places I stayed and all the experiences and adventures I had, Coco Grove/Sunset was the best experience! The staff is amazing! The resort is more beautiful in person than the pictures and videos you will find online. The people of Siquijor were very friendly and kind. Renting thr scooters from the hotel is easy and convenient, but yoy got to get there early because they rent them out daily, first come first served, and they are usually gone before 9am. You can rent scooters from places outside the resort, which we did. They are fine, but they are not as comfortable nor as fast as the resort scooters. I do recommend scooters to explore the island. The traffic isn’t bad which makes it feel safer to drive as compared to the traffic in Manila and Boracay. If you will visit Siquijor Coco Grove/Sunset is the place to stay!
We stayed at Coco Grove Beach Resort for seven nights as a group of 12, celebrating a birthday. Each couple in our group stayed in a different room category, which meant we were able to see a wide range of the accommodation during our stay. The lower-priced rooms are quite basic, while there is a noticeable step up in comfort and luxury in the higher-end rooms. I would advise spending as much as your budget allows, however, if you are travelling on a budget, the lower-priced rooms are perfectly adequate and still very comfortable. The staff are possibly the most helpful I have ever come across, genuinely kind, attentive, and always willing to go out of their way to help. The beach is absolutely breathtaking and a real highlight of the resort. The food across all of the restaurants was delicious and very reasonably priced. I honestly do not have a bad word to say about this hotel. A truly wonderful stay, and I would rate the resort 10 out of 10.

Best accommodation in Siquijor. Very affordable, large rooms with big bathroom with cold, hot shower and a large sink. They have beachfront villas, cottages, apart from the hotel rooms in the main building. Beds are comfy, sheets are quite thin so you can ask staff for additional quilts for those who are cold at night. Fridge is cold and ready with drinks you can pay for, free drinking water & coffee sachets. TV has CNN, didn't check other channels. Wifi is strong in my 4F room. Max level airconditioning is sufficient for the day and really comfortably cold at night . Different large and small pools for kids, adults alike. Swimmable beach, snorkeling, tours available. Love staying in the open water!! Free breakfast with multiple options. They have Sat night entertainment with 2 restaurants, both seating 10 to 12 tables each. Weekday staff were very pleasant, thoughtful, accommodating; weekend staff were a bit tired maybe so missed a few guest cues but forgiveable. Will definitely go back this time with family and friends!
A beautiful place on the island, but I was disappointed with the room value. Paying *** for an older, unappealing room above the reception felt excessive, even knowing it wasn’t a beachfront bungalow. On the plus side, the beds were very comfortable and the service was top-notch property is beautiful and the staff are truly fantastic—always welcoming and wearing a smile. While the beachside restaurant area is stunning, the food was a bit hit-or-miss (I’d suggest don't order the pizza).
We had a great stay at coco Grove beach resort. We had a good room yet it was upgraded to executive due to annoying door lock sensors keeps on and off repeatedly. Furthermore the management upgraded to the executive room. The staff were great, very friendly and accommodating. The place has had a stunning view, clean and good WiFi service throughout the stay. Picked and dropped off from sea port to the resort was also organised by the staff. Very helpful,Friendly and accommodating. Thanks coco Grove for the wonderful stay. The weather wasn't great as it was drizzled yet we were able to tour around the island. The food was great yet not keen of the spice Mexican dish. Twa's a remarkable holiday getaway at siquijor. I would recommend and definitely go back to stay again at the coco Grove beach resort. 10/10.

The room had an older charm, but it was clean and incredibly comfortable, providing a great space to relax. The facilities were top-notch, offering everything we needed to enjoy our time. The food was another highlight; fairly priced, delicious, well-prepared, and offered excellent variety. The standout feature, however, was the amazing staff. Every member we interacted with was genuinely warm, highly professional, and attentive, making us feel special and well-cared for throughout our entire trip. We stayed at Coco Grove Beach Resort in Siquijor and had such an amazing time. The place is beautiful – the beach is clean and quiet, the water is clear, and the whole resort has a really relaxed, peaceful vibe. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, with everything we needed. It felt private and calm, and we loved the tropical garden surroundings. The staff were all super friendly and helpful – always smiling and ready to assist with anything. The food at the resort was really good too. There’s a nice mix of local and international options, and we especially enjoyed eating by the beach with a view of the sunset. There are a few pools to choose from, and plenty of space to just relax. The resort also has great snorkeling spots right off the beach, and it’s easy to book other activities or island tours through them if you feel like exploring. Overall, Coco Grove is the perfect place to unwind. It’s peaceful, well-kept, and run by people who clearly care about making your stay great. We’d definitely come back.
I was having issues connecting to their WiFi from my room. Turned out to be a bigger issue and they had to get ahold of IT to fix the issue. I completely understand that it was out of their hands, but I was never offered a different room as I mentioned to them that I had work to get done. I went the first day and part of the morning the next day with no WiFi. It ended up getting fixed. Which was good. Also I had my room made up in the mornings, but it wasn’t fully gone through. There was still trash that never got thrown out and on one of the morning I never received new towels. Overall I had a great stay. The motorcycle rental was a huge plus! And also the tuk tuk tower was great as well! I had breakfast in all 3 restaurants and not one of them disappointed. The staff was super friendly always greeted with a smile. I will stay here again. Just a few issues that can be corrected.
If you're looking for white sandy beach, this may not be the best place. However, this is a snorkeling paradise. Just don't forget your swimming shoes. The resort is on par with any 5-star resort in the Carribean, but the location remains mostly untouched as the whole island is still developing. However, all your creature comforts are still there. The only thing is that the hot water doesn't run hot enough for me. I like taking a scalding bath after a busy day. The staff tried to accommodate to the best of their abilities and that's all I can ask for. A minor inconvenience to an otherwise great stay. P.S. if you're on a honeymoon, book the temple lotus room. Highly recommended.

We had two nights staying at Coco Grove Beach, in the Temple Lotus Room. This is one of the premium rooms in the resort, next to the spa, and has a private entry and gorgeous sun terrace overlooking the beach. We were greeted with warmth at this unique resort where all the rooms have a different style and are spaced the length of the grounds facing the Tubod Marine Sanctuary. There are three delightful swimming pools - a deep one with a swim up bar, a calm one by reception and a small serene one by the spa. Two restaurants are on the beach, The Beach Bar and Salamandas, the latter offering a more extensive menu. Frankly, they are both excellent with loads of choice. We had lunch at the Beach Bar and dinner at Salamandas, with genuine service from Rossillio, who provided great information and made our evening special. The beach is 800 meters long, so perfect to get out daily exercise, although there is an outdoor covered gym for those looking for a little more. Highlights for us were snorkelling in the bay, where the first afternoon we saw a huge turtle and then a walo-walo sea snake, just a little too close for comfort! Evening 2 saw the resort dining turn into a beach BBQ served à la carte - with the Tribu Bukong Fire Dancers providing a fun end to the evening. Slight lack of communication (they forgot to book our return transport, so just as well we double checked as we had an early start), but this didn’t detract from a very special stay. We wished we’d had at least one extra day to explore the beautiful island and see more of the sights (waterfalls and turtle island).
As someone who works in hospitality and manages hotels and condominiums in Dubai, I always approach my stays with a balanced perspective, knowing the challenges that come with running a property. However, my experience at Coco Grove Beach Resort fell short in several important areas—especially for the price we paid. The room was overpriced for what it offered. The WiFi in our building was unreliable, and we only managed to get a stable connection by picking up the signal from a nearby building. Water pressure in the shower was poor, which affected our comfort, and the food served at the restaurant was just average and didn’t reflect its cost. What really stood out in a negative way was the dinner situation. When we went to eat at the resort’s restaurant, it was fully booked. We weren’t given any heads-up during check-in that we needed to reserve a table, and we later found out the resort accepts reservations from non-staying guests. As paying guests, it was incredibly frustrating to be left with no seating simply because outside diners were prioritized. This is a basic hospitality principle—your in-house guests should always come first. Another poor experience happened on our check-out day, I called the front desk six times during working hours to confirm our port transfer, and no one picked up. In any well-managed property, you would expect at least a courtesy call back—but that never happened. This kind of service gap is something I would never allow in the properties I manage, and it left us feeling overlooked. Adding to the list, we had an issue when we tried to enter through another gate to access the souvenir shop, which the front desk had told us was located at Casa Sunset. However, the guard refused to let us through, insisting the shop was at Casa Coco. We explained we were guests staying at Casa Coco and just wanted to visit the shop, but he still denied us access. This was both confusing and frustrating because the resort map also clearly indicated the souvenir shop was in Casa Sunset. That kind of internal miscommunication shouldn’t happen at a professionally run property. While I appreciated the initial front desk assistance and the smooth port pick-up and drop-off service, those positives were overshadowed by the lack of proper communication, poor internal coordination, and inattentive guest handling. This resort has a lot of potential, but serious improvements are needed in prioritizing in-house guests, staff communication, and overall service consistency. From the perspective of someone working in the hospitality industry, these are foundational expectations—not extras. Until those are addressed, I wouldn’t recommend this property to other travelers looking for a seamless and well-managed stay.

Value for money. I'm at that age that I am willing to spend for the convenience and cleanliness. I was so impressed with Coco Grove, I went back there 2x in one year. Food is great, pool and beach (protected sea sanctuary) are fantastic. We swam with turtles! Staff are well trained, I love the vibe! Everyone was helpful! Highly recommend staying here if you're a family. Safety and no brownouts assured! I recommend getting massage, their spa is one of the best I've had experienced. We were getting massages every night.

Everything was fantastic. Clean. Friendly staff. Great food. Really nice beach. Close to San Juan. Everything you need or want is in this resort. It’s a bit pricey and most of the time with perfect accommodations I’d say it was worth it, and for me it was but I’ve stayed at places that were just as nice for less. Way less in some instances. Not in Siquijor but other beach resorts around the Philippines. If you want the full resort experience and can afford it I highly recommend staying here. If not then there are plenty of great places here that are less and still nice.
Overall I had a good stay. The facility was overall nice and never felt too crowded. The giant pool was rarely even used. I think most people went to the beach. They had free fire dancing shows and other things. The staff was all great and most of them knew me by name for only a 4 night stay. Upon checkout they even arranged all the ferry tickets and port fees and everything in advance to save you time. And the port transfer was free for both directions albeit a group transfer. Most of the food was good. You can rent a scooter on site. It's a bit strange that you can only rent until 10pm rather than for multiple days. So that was a bit annoying to rent it over and over each day, and if you wanted it at night it's not possible. But since most things close early it wasn't really a big problem. It was a bit more expencive than an external rental but the bike was good and operated well. Overall its the best hotel I saw online. And I rode all over the island and didn't see any better ones either, so if you want a good experience it seems like this is the best one. A few minor notes of constructive criticism beyond the bike... I thought it was very odd you couldn't bring welcome drinks to your room. It makes you rush while standing in a big crowd of arrivals rather than relax and enjoy it. It's such a huge hotel they must have plenty of glassware. I didn't use the gym but if I read the information correctly it's open for 2, 2hr slots perday. Only 4 hours at specific midday times. Why? It made it so I could never use it so I never bothered to go find it. The rooms didn't have menus. So if I asked for room service a staff member first had to bring a menu. Which is inconvenient for me and for them going back and forth to the room. Regarding the penthouse/presidential suite: it was overall nice and matches the photos. I'm a bit surprised it has normal bathrooms and no tub when it's such a huge space. Good idea to upgrade this in the future. I never tried the hottub because I was busy. But I was told only 1 jet worked and the side panels are falling off so I think they will eventually replace that one. When you see the photos the 3 circular buildings. The right side is just the entrance/elevator and isn't really your space albeit a private entrance. So I guess it is yours, just nothing in there. The big middle building is your 2 floor room. The left building is an unused bar. It's a bit odd to leave it there as an unusable space. It should either be made usable or converted into something more useful. They mainly use it to store pillows inside when it rains. The balcony was huge and nice. I'd just note there's almost no sun/rain cover, so don't leave anything out there that can't get wet. Also each morning there was about 50,000 berries everywhere. Not sure if from trees or birds dropping them. The staff would come in each morning and clean that. Which is separate from the main cleaning. It just made walking outside barefoot in the morning a bit hard. The room itself again matches the photos. Maybe even bigger in person. Couches were ok. Bed was hard by my taste, but I asked for a mattress pad and that helped. It's square while the bed is round, but it still worked out pretty well. Aside from issues on the first day, the wifi worked pretty well overall. I had to ask for an extension cord as the bed tables have no outlets. That's definitely worth upgrading also. Showers were fine, just took awhile to get warm, but eventually got very hot for anyone's needs. So overall, I did like the place and the room. And the staff were all great and made it feel very personalized. I would definitely recommend this hotel when you stay in siquijor, just adding details to help both guests and the hotel. They were always super responsive. I got the extension cord, mattress pad, and they fixed the blurriness on the TV, etc etc. within 20min of me asking for help with all things at once. The location is also pretty good. Close to all the waterfalls and caves
We stayed for only one night to celebrate our 3rd anniversary, and I requested a simple complimentary setup—and they didn’t disappoint. I’m so glad we chose this hotel for such a special occasion. Prior to our arrival, they messaged me through Agoda to ask if we wanted to avail of their complimentary pickup from Siquijor Port. On our way to the hotel, a staff member shared a brief history of the island, and upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with drinks. Check-in was smooth, even though we arrived around 1 PM, while the standard check-in time is 3 PM. The food, the staff, the facilities, and the location were all perfect. The place was peaceful, and you could really feel the privacy. We ended up staying in the hotel the entire time since we also had work to attend to
I travelled with my husband and 8-yo son at Siquijor to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and chose to stay at the topmost rated resort in the area. We went a little posh and decided to stay at a beach-front accommodation since I think we deserve that kind of celebration. All I can say is, it did not disappoint! Usually, beach-front accommodation comparatively costs too much... but with location and view that we got (Sanctuary Villa), it was a relatively great deal -- the booking also includes free pickup and dropoff at Siquijor port and free breakfast! To top it off, the resort's amenities are extraordinary! They had a bbq night with performers, and also an acoustic night with great performers as well! All the staff are very accommodating and friendly. They do a good job of maintaining the cleanliness of the whole place. The free breakfast is very generous! The food is good... we tried eating outside as well but concluded that eating in the resort is still the best option for us (food quality and serving size). We got lucky that the place is not that packed and we got to enjoy the beach with not much crowd. We will definitely stay at this resort again if and when we come back to Siquijor.
This was our second stay at Coco Grove in 2024 and it truly is a fantastic resort with brilliant staff and good restaurants and pools. The only minor flaws were in our room (hairdryer didn’t work, tv didn’t work, water wasn’t draining properly, etc). The room itself was big, clean and perfectly comfortable but just showing some minor signs of wear and tear. Having said that, we will 100% be coming back again, it really is one of the nicest resorts in the Philippines that we’ve been to (and we travel extensively round the Philippines whilst visiting family here every year). I also think Coco Grove offers very good value for money compared to other resorts on nearby islands (my personal opinion is that this place is head and shoulders above other big/similar resorts I’ve been to in Pangloa, Mactan, etc). Difficult to describe, but beauty, warmth and hospitality of Coco Grove exceeds any resort experience. Embracing nature with its lush flowered jungle landscape seamlessly blending with their bungalows, buildings and gazebos making the high level cuisine that more enjoyable. Each of the staff welcome you and know your names. Their evening events are not to be missed. Singing, fire dancing and even a Spectacular show in their elegant theater every Saturday evening (Don’t miss!). We hope everyone enjoys it as much as we do.
Warm welcome , friendly staff, nice location ,big clean and comfortable room. Huge beach area and a lot of choices of umbrella, lounge chair, recliners, tables chairs, swing, bars , restaurant, pools , event and show, good foods, assistance with transportation, tours, ticket for the ferry , shuttle service and a lot more. Overall experience was awesome. I highly recommend this resort and the island of Siquijor itself seems Simple, quiet and peaceful place. Less crowd and congestion. Safe place. Hoping to be back again someday.
So... Coco Grove .. The name says it all right? Staff.... awsome... Acknowledge you... and awsome service no matter what part of the resort you are in. Room... needs maintenance badly.... soap dish in shower falling off... towel rack falling off... however... Large, and nice water pressure, and cleanish... Bedroom... large... obviously older, but mostly maintained o.k. except phone didn't work(they told us at check in... ) Bed... king size extra 3" mattress topper on it... very comfortable.... T.v... 42" sabre, flat... HBO, Cinimax for you movie guys... Grounds... Beautiful... Beach... the best... walkways in desperate need of pruning with overhanging shrubs... couldn't walk hand in hand with my fiancee due to that.... Pools... good... the large one has missing plaster in spots and needs maintenance. Restaurant, bar on beach... Awsome... Loved the BBQ dinner with fire dancer show on the beach... a bit expensive (beef ribs(3 small ribs) with veggies and rice for 700 was high... but with the show .... O.k... Overall... For me... We visit Siquijor about 2 times per year... Love it.. (we are from Dapitan) and we have visited now about 6 times the last few years. Ohhh... the breakfast... good... About the same as other nice resorts in the area... nothing special... Filipino choices, and international choices... So... Would I stay again? If a promo with a good price, yes... but won't pay the 7k for one night again... There are other very nice resorts in the are for less than half. Just my opinion.

We had an amazing time at Coco Grove Hotel, and I regret not bringing my kids along because this place is exceptional. **Pre check-in:** We were warmly welcomed by the front desk, who offered us a refreshing complimentary drink. They also allowed us to check in early if the room was available and assisted us to our room. What a smooth check-in. **Place:** This place is a paradise. The facilities are comprehensive, with three pools for adults and kids, a game room, gym, spa, and kid's playroom. The landscape and beach are picturesque, offering plenty of spaces to unwind and relax. **Rooms:** The rooms are spacious and spotless, with comfortable beds. The toiletries are complete, the hot shower works perfectly, and the minibar is well-stocked. **Food:** We loved everything we ate. The ceviche and calamari were delicious snacks by the pool, and the dinner was great. Breakfast was exceptional, with a variety of options including Filipino, smoothie bowls, Continental, and American breakfast. Local beers and drinks are reasonably priced, and we enjoyed our time at the bar. **Staff:** The staff are friendly, accommodating, warm, and prompt to guests' needs. They would say hi and greet us with a smile. Staying here was the perfect vacation we needed. Our experience was wonderful, and we can't wait to return with our kids for a longer stay.
Kudos to Joey in the front desk and Jesiel in the appointment table for being so helpful during our stay. Appreciate khair? as well for the welcome when we arrived and for the help in transpo when we checked out. Coco Grove's location is spot on! Near everything and they have their own motor bikes for rent so going around was definitely easy. They even top up the gas for you (gas will be charged to room). They also have so much amenities, we tried out all their pools, the gym, and had meals in all of their restaurants. They also have events on some nights and we definitely made the most out of it. It being in front of tubod sanctuary was really awesome. Just walked to their diving shop and we were already assisted. It's so convenient that we could just go back and walk to our room after an hour of snorkeling. The food was great as well! We enjoyed trying out the different breakfast options in the different restaurants. Everything was so hassle free and the total experience really made our first time in Siquijor a banger. Will defnitely recommend to all my friends and will definitely book again when I go back. Their assistance in going back to dumaguete was top-notch! Just do the online booking, share with them a day before your booking details, and they'll be the one to get your ticket. Just have to hop on the van, and when you reach the port, they'll give you your ticket and you'll just wait for boarding. Such an underrated service but super important!
We had a great stay at this place. The room was perfect for two people, very tidy, cozy, and comfortable. The big pool was definitely a big plus — it made the whole experience even more special and of course the beautiful beach. The staffs welcomed us warmly; they were very nice and accommodating throughout our stay. The breakfast was also good and well-prepared. Highly recommended! If we visit again, we would definitely book this place again. 🏝️
We had an amazing stay at Coco Grove Beach Resort in Siquijor! The service was excellent, and the room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. They even arranged bus transfers from the port, which made everything so easy. The location is perfect—right on the beach and close to all the top attractions. A peaceful, beautiful place. Highly recommended!
Coco Grove was one of my favorite hotels, and if you like scuba diving / snorkeling it’s a fantastic bang for your buck. Pros: -Tubod marine sanctuary provides some of the best diving and snorkeling we’ve come across and it’s literally right in front of the hotel. This alone makes staying here worth it in my mind. -The beach is quite nice and there are tons of loungers and places to lay, and they reserve the best part of the beach for hotel guests which makes it relatively uncrowded. -The hotel landscaping is immaculate. As soon as you step foot on property you’ll feel immersed in lush nature and it’s so well done. -A lot of free stuff provided. Kayak rentals are free, there’s a game room, yoga is free (rare in my experience), and Tubod marine sanctuary fees are covered. -Service. Tons of employees everywhere and they were all very kind and helpful, even if food service was a bit slow. They also handled ferry reservations and pickup from the pier which was helpful. -Vibe of the resort is really cool and sort of retro. Hotel was originally built in the ‘80s and it gives it a cool feel without being too dated. Cons: -Some of the rooms are just OK. We stayed in 2 different rooms (Garden View Deluxe and Ocean view villa), and the garden view room smelled a bit musty and could use an update. The Ocean view villa was much nicer but also had some cracks in the walls. The toilet seat was also completely the wrong size which felt quite lazy for a hotel of this price. Ultimately though, we didn’t spent much time in the rooms because the resort and beach is so cool so it didn’t bother us much. We loved our 5 days here and can’t wait to come back!
We recently stayed at Coco Grove Beach Resort with my family, and it was their first time visiting the beautiful island of Siquijor. There were plenty of activities offered, which kept everyone entertained throughout our stay. Whether it was relaxing by the beach, exploring the island, or joining in on the resort’s events, there was always something fun to do. Breakfast was another highlight — the food was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of choices ranging from classic American breakfast to flavorful Filipino dishes. It was the perfect way to start each day. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help, making our stay even more enjoyable. My family had such a great time that they’re already talking about coming back — and I couldn’t agree more! Coco Grove continues to be a special place for me, and sharing it with my loved ones made this trip even more meaningful.
Coco Grove is THE place to stay in Siquijor. The staff here are unbelievable. From the moment you walk in the door to your departure they make you feel so welcome. The resort is in a great location with lots to do. It is impeccably clean. The beach is spectacular and you can snorkel or dive right there. I can not say enough about this place....outstanding. Thank you for making mt husband's birthday a day he will never forget.
When we arrived at the port, Kuya Driver greeted us with a bright smile while waving a banner with my name; this gesture may not seem spectacular to some, but it immediately made us feel at home. The fresh watermelon juice supplied as a welcome drink is quite refreshing. We came early but were not allowed to check in because their check-in time is 3PM, which I believe is extremely late for a regular policy; nonetheless, we were able to use all of their facilities, so we don't mind. Coco Grove made us know that Siquijor is home to the best people. There was no staff member who did not greet us or provide us with full service. Every time you see them, they'll wave and smile. I even destroyed a glass of wine, but they refused to let me pay for it. We also got to experience their BBQ night, which included a fire dance show, which added to the overall enjoyment. Even with a full-day plan, we didn't need to have lunch because breakfast was so filling and delicious. The overall experience here is impressive, and this resort is one of the highlights of our trip. KUDOS to the entire crew!
Coco Grove was such a nice and super relaxing place—I honestly didn’t want to leave. The rooms were clean, the staff were really friendly and attentive, and the food was so good. One of my favorite parts was having breakfast with a view of the beach—such a perfect way to start the day! They even surprised me with a cute room setup for their anniversary, complete decoration. It was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture. The whole vibe of the place is so peaceful and welcoming. You won’t even feel like going out because they pretty much have everything you need. The beach and pool were both clean and perfect for just chilling. I’d definitely go back. We had such a great time at Coco Grove!
This place is huge and plenty of room for everyone. My only complaint is they ignore the beach trash that washed up every day. Seaweed i understand but trash, bottles, shoes tooth brushes and just junk wash up and they dont clean it. They make alot of money here, but no environmental responsibility. Guest walk a beach covered with trash and no one picks it up. Very sad
My family love their stay in here. The room is clean and the facilities are great and working. The food in the Salamandas Restaurant, is also great tasting. They accept all kinds of payment - may it be cash, QR, or cards. Staffs could be approachable but I could see they are very busy during the peak season.
I love this resort, had such a great time, they probably have the best front desk staff of any hotel or resort that I've ever been to. The grounds are incredibly well kept I could not believe how beautiful everything was. My room was also very beautiful, clean, and well kept. I was staying in a Villa and it was unfortunately a very long walk from the reception area, that's the only thing, I wish there was a more direct route from the entry area to my Villa because it was such a long wandering walk

Superb stay! From pre checkin the response rate is fast and all requests were considered. From our pickup at the port we’re already given a warm welcome. Both kuya driver and Rhea gave clear briefing and also shared short trivia about the island. Refreshing Welcome drinks and smooth check in process, even if we arrived early, we were allowed to explore the massive coco grove! All staff are warm and accommodating, early checkin request was granted and the room was given a cute set up of “happy birthday” with an improvised towel- cake (sweet touch to the set up) Breakfast options are ok and serving is big with fruits and both hot drinks and juices to avail. From the spa service to the diving shop to the resto staff, everyone is super friendly! Everywhere you go in the resort (resto washroom bar pool, its clean! ) you can see staff with cleaning kits almost every hour/intervals roaming around the resort. The room is spacious and every corner is clean! Room service / housekeeping is fast to respond to any help we need (shower problem and housekeeping knocked right away after few mins of call) The tuktuk driver we hired is also accommodating and even shared some stories or background about the tourist spots Overall, we would definitely recommend coco grove to anyone who would want to experience a peaceful yet fun relaxation in siquijor! A small piece of heaven in this magical island!!!
Our villa was very spacious, and very clean. We had the best sleep in the bed with soft pillows. The area where we stayed at was peaceful and there were times where it felt like we had the whole hotel to ourselves. The staff were very kind and helpful, they made sure we were comfortable always. Especially when we joined the Apo Island trip. I highly recommend staying at Coco Grove. Will book here again if I find myself in Siquijor

The entire experience was miles apart from the budget hotels I was used to. The attention to detail, the cleanliness, the overall vibe of the resort—everything felt so elevated. I also availed of the Saturday dinner buffet with Dance and Musical Show and I was blown-away by the food and the entertainment they provided.

This should have been an easy 10 for me, but I will add my comments later on why not. This is basically the most beautiful resort I've been to. The owner have crafted it in a way that guests will feel healed with a good combination luscious greens and the ocean. The shore is very clean and the facilities are well maintained. In fact, me and my family agreed that it is the most beautiful resort we've visited. Their temple spa is to die for. Why not give them a 10? We are missing 2 things inside our villa, a black la coste cap and our insta 360 black cover. We've reported it to the front desk and they mentioned that they will conduct an investigation, we are still waiting for the result. Another concern is that we've found roaches inside our restroom villa. Are we going back, yes. But probably more careful not to leave our belongings and place them inside the safety lock.
