I had an absolutely wonderful time at Grand Continental Hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The place was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared — exactly what I needed for a relaxing and stress-free stay. The room was cozy yet spacious, the air-conditioning worked perfectly, and the bed was super comfortable. The location was also great. Conveniently close to local shops, eateries, and attractions. Breakfast was great — fresh, warm, and delicious. The nasi lemak was a lovely surprise — fragrant rice, spicy sambal, and crispy anchovies. A true local treat for breakfast! Room for improvement: It would be even better if the waiting time for half-boiled eggs could be reduced to around 5 minutes instead of 18. Unfortunately, I had to leave without getting mine as the wait was too long. Highly recommended. I would definitely come back again!
I stayed 2 nights at this hotel recently. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The location is strategic, just a 5–10 minute walk to attractions like KTCC Mall, Mayang Mall, and the Drawbridge. A lot of eateries around the hotel too. Breakfast was fine with a mix of local and international options. The room was spacious with basic toiletries provided (toothbrush need to be requested) but cleanliness could be improved. The bedsheet was also stained and had an unpleasant smell. The bath mat was very old and should not be used anymore. The bathtub not clean, and I even encountered a live cockroach in the toilet. Parking is at the basement, but accessing the lobby requires using the stairs, which felt a bit unsafe as no security was present. Overall, while the service and location were good, the hotel’s cleanliness and maintenance need serious improvement.

every time I have work in Terengganu this is my first choice hotel. The main factor I choose this hotel is its location which is close to all the facilities of restaurants, ktcc mall, mayang mall, self-service laundry and other shops. On this trip I stayed for 4 nights. The first and third days housekeeping cleaned and refilled well. The second day housekeeping was a little lazy, towels were not changed, tea was not refilled and sheets were not cleaned well. Breakfast has a variety of choices with local and western menus. Overall this hotel is my choice if I have work in Terengganu.

The basement would be more convenient if there were a lift, especially for families with kids and heavy luggage, as currently only stairs are available and bellboy assistance is limited. The restaurant experience could also be better managed. Guests may need to queue for tables during peak times, and some food and drinks run out, requiring a wait for refills. The refilled dishes were slightly on the salty and oily side.

The 6th floor room I stayed had excellent view the Mayang Mall and Drawbridge which was nice. Breakfast has a good selection of local and continental choice. Food quality were delicious. Overall I had a pleasant stay though I find the parking is limited. There was a seminar going on at the hotel and parking is a hit or miss situation.

Everything we needed—eateries, a self-service laundry, and even a shopping mall—was within easy walking distance which was a huge convenience. The breakfast experience was excellent. The food was delicious, and I especially appreciated the fact that they served different dishes every day, keeping the selection fresh and interesting. The staff service was top-notch. The front office personnel and the bellman were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the check-in and check-out process smooth and pleasant. The only significant drawback is the parking situation. Car parking is quite limited, and if the hotel is full, finding a suitable parking spot can be a real challenge. I'm not sure where guests would park during peak occupancy. Despite the parking constraint, I am very satisfied with my stay overall. I would happily choose to stay here again the next time I visit Terengganu.

To add on, in my room, there’s a huge gap in the room which give can give way for improvement to add on more facilities in the room. The refrigerator needs an upgrade to be honest. We are taking premium room, the room is big and the Tv is new. Room cleaniness is ok, breakfast was fantastic. They served different main course every day. Our first day was nasi dagang, 2nd day was nasi minyak and last day was nasi lemak. The location is good as KTCC Mall is walking distance and there are many eateries there. The only disadvantage was the parking is limited, however, u can choose to pay RM30 per day for reserve parking. We paid for it to hv less worry to find parking spot.
The hotel have been refurbished for some room and luckily I got one of the rooms. Everything is near with convenience store, restaurants, shopping mall, terengganu bridge and pasar payang. it is also in front of a beach just a bit further. Overall is good and if I want to come to KT in future I would definitely want to stay here again.

The facilities not as good as previous year. The toilet kinda dirty. Please spend a bit for the cleaning products . I spend 2 nights changing room. Both toilets not clean. The breakfast also without any egg. Spoiled a bit for my picky eater daughter. Not a pleasant breakfast experience. The taste also so so.
I like this stay at Grand Continental. Even an old hotel, it is well maintained, clean and still look like new. The beach view and easy accessibility in town area make it worth the rate which is lower than othe 4 star hotels.
when we first check in, we were given old unit. I was not satisfied with the cleanliness of that room. The room is a bit smelly and toilet is dirty with broken toilet cover. But, i remember seeing a banner at the lobby room saying that we can upgrade to premier room with additional rm60/night. So we call the reception to upgrade the room. I'm glad making that decision. The new room was superb and clean. We enjoyed our two days stay. The food was good as well.. love the nasi kerabu on day one and nasi dagang on day 2. The staff are very nice. The location is the most strategic. Overall, satisfied with my stay and will choose this hotel again in future.

Its prime location is unbeatable – conveniently situated near the mall, with local breakfast options right in front of the hotel. It's also a stone's throw away from Pasar Payang and located in the heart of the city, making it an excellent choice for both leisure and business travelers. The rooms and amenities were great, but one area that needs attention is the gym facilities. The equipment appears outdated and not safe to use, which detracts slightly from an otherwise fantastic stay. If the gym facilities are improved, this hotel will be perfect. I would still highly recommend it for its location, service, and overall comfort.

Stay for one night in a triple room number 1017. View bridge + beach. Decent room for an old hotel. Can't expect much. Towel prepared for 3 people. However the bath gel and conditioner only 2 sets. AC took longer time to cool the room. The TV channel not showing the best image (quite blurry). 3 water bottles and tea set. The pillow was soft and nice. The beds make squicky sound but understandable (age but standing strong) Pool was well maintained. However, the pool keeper was firm and only provide 2 towels for 3 adults. He sound harsh, maybe that the way he communicate. The breakfast was 5/10. Price RM33/adult, RM21 - 5 years and above. Breakfast spread - nasi with kurma ayam, fried kuey tiaw, eggs selection, bread, mee, cereal with milk, bread pudding with vanilla, tea coffee, I don't remember seeing fruits/yogurt. Order pizza for room service - not fit my taste. Price reasonable. Overall, comfortable stay. Hotel nearby centre of attractions, parking - basement - free.

Hotel Grand Continental Kuala Terengganu is a comfortable and conveniently located hotel in the city center. The rooms are clean and spacious, with nice views, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is strategic. The parking lot full because there is a company group meeting, stayed there. The room size is good but the room facilities need to be improved. The aircond is not working well, even though it was fixed by their maintenance, it is still not cold. Because it was late at night, we had to sleep uncomfortably. early morning we have to move back to Jb.
My stay at this hotel was unfortunately disappointing due to several issues: 1. There was leftover food from the previous guest still in the fridge when I checked in, which clearly indicates poor room cleaning. 2. I also found a crochet item left in the toilet — another sign of lack of attention to cleanliness. 3. The telephone in the room did not work, so I couldn’t contact reception directly. Even after I reported the issue and was told it was fixed, the same problem happened again. This shows very poor maintenance. 4. When I returned to the hotel late at night, there was no parking available. I was told by the reception to park outside the hotel, as the parking is "first come, first served" and quite limited. Overall, the experience was not up to standard. The hotel seriously needs to improve its housekeeping, maintenance, and facilities management to meet basic guest expectations.

The location is also good with many restaurants and malls around. Only that the parking space is very limited in which at 5pm during check in, the hotel cannot provide us a parking space which is inconvenience to us.

Pros: Helpful staff. Big room, lots of plugs, good lighting, comfortable bed and pillows. Good toiletries. We did not try the swimming pool or the gym, as only a night's stay. Breakfast was quite good. With quite a variety. Egg omelette was over easy, hence runny in the center, however, the wife and daughter did not like it like that, although, I thought it was good. Cons: Toilet bathtub although renovated, the bathtub still look dated, as was the carpet in the room. Warm water was a bit slow to come to the tap, had to leave it running for at least 10 mins after we first entered the room. Since there were events that day, parking was difficult, but during previous stays it was sufficient.

I got a corner deluxe room with a view of the sea. Room is large and clean. The hallway has a nice fragrance. Swimming pool is big and clean with a part view of the drawbridge and the sea. The staff are polite and pleasant. Though checkin was at three I was given my room earlier which was so kind of them. Lots of food available around the hotel. Hotel cafe serves a variety of local and western food and prices were very reasonable. I didn’t book for breakfast because wanted to have nasi dagang. I would love to come back to this hotel in future.

The room very comfortable and spacious. The facilities all good. But for me the breakfast menu need improvement.
Overall stay is clean, i got nice view in my room. Worth the money since per room is RM164 before tax and the room is bigger. Friendly staff. Help my family to settle one issue; our car was blocked by other car and plus the spot is not for parking. Since out car is very long, difficult to get out but the staff try to reach the owner. Very helpful eventhough there nothing much we can do

Overall, my first stay was okay. However, the hotel is not elderly-friendly — there’s no elevator from the basement parking, and stairs are required to access the restaurant, which made it difficult for my blind father. Luckily, he doesn’t use a wheelchair, so we could still manage. It would be great if the hotel could improve accessibility. Just my 2 cents. That said, the location is strategic, and I still recommend this hotel. I will come back again.

I have visited Hotel Grand Continental several times for training courses and business meetings with clients. However, this was my first time staying overnight at the hotel. Overall, the services were satisfactory. The staff were friendly and professional, the swimming pool was well maintained, and the room was clean and tidy. The hotel’s location is very convenient, as it is within walking distance of KTCC Mall and surrounded by many restaurants. In addition, the hotel is only a few meters away from a popular mamak restaurant in the area, Restoran Ali Spices, which added to the stay experience. However, there were a few issues. The air-conditioning system in the room did not work well. Although a technician was sent to check it, the problem continued. We also faced a small problem during check-in when the room number on the key card did not match the actual room. The room was still being cleaned by housekeeping, so we had to wait about 15 minutes before being informed of the correct room. This was not a serious issue, but it was slightly inconvenient, especially with children who were eager to use the bathtub. In conclusion, for a four-star hotel, the stay can be considered average. Overall, I would give it a rating of 3 out of 5 stars.
