“Great little hotel in a great neighbourhood ”
This is my second review as I booked 2 rooms in this hotel (one for me, inside no windows, and one for my parent, with windows). Great hotel with generous offers ” Wonderful little hotel in a great location. Generous with offerings. I stayed in the windowless room with a queen-sized bed, as per photos. My parents stayed in a room with a queen bed and window. Rooms are clean and decent size; definitely not large but sufficient. My windowless room would be a little tight for a couple, but it suited me fine as I was on my own. I was in room 1003. Although it is close to the lift, it was quiet, except when some people would slam their doors in the mornings. My bathroom was spacious and clean, except for the wall where the toilet was. It has not been cleaned in a very long time, but you can’t tell unless you wipe it. The room can get musty if you don’t turn the air conditioner to a cool enough setting. The staff are very helpful and friendly. This hotel does not try to cheap out on the guests. There are plenty of free snacks, laundry detergents, daily refill of bottles of water, tea satchels and slippers. The free instant noodles are the bigger boxes, not a small cup. There was a vegetarian option among the choice of instant noodles, which I greatly appreciated. Laundry is 30 NTW for a wash and 50 NTW for the use of the dryer. There are hand soaps, body wash, hair wash and conditioner in the bathroom, and they all smelled lovely. There are tissues in the room and a small refrigerator. The location is perfect. It’s situated between several metro stations, but the closest is a 5-minute walk to NTU Hospital station on the red line. It is quickest to get to NTU Hospital station by going through Peace Park where the Taiwan National Museum is. The NTU Hospital station is on the red line (Tamsui-Xinyf line), which we found most of the places we wanted to go to were also on the red line. The Finders Hotel is in the N Hotel Building, across the street from DBS Bank. Check-in is at level B1. There are only 2 downsides to this hotel: 1)There are no dressers or cabinets to put your clothes in, so you have to leave all your clothes in your luggage. This was fine for the 6 nights I stayed, but would be a hassle if I stayed longer. My relatives in room 1011 also had the same problem, but it was worse for them since there are 2 of them. There were 4 hangers in my room on 2 hooks. 2) The sink counter is large and has plenty of space. However, there are no shelves in the shower and, as a woman, this makes it a bit tricky for my facial cleanser, razor, etc. No hooks to hang clothes in the bathroom either. The hotel only provides cleaning once every 3 days. However, I am immunocompromised and asked my floor to be vacuumed daily and they obliged. I really liked this hotel and would definitely stay again! Edit: Checkout is 11:00am. 380NTW for each additional hour if you wish to check out later.
