Budget Capsule Hotel”
This is a nice place. I stayed there for 5 nights and had a pleasant experience. The only 2 things need to be addressed are 1) staffs at the front desk speak very little English. I had problem with my booking and it took an hour to resolve the issue... mostly because of the communication; and 2) all guests cannot check in until 5 PM. If you have an overnight flight and arrive early morning (just as in my case), you will have to go wander in the city for many hours before you can check in. However, the hotel can store your luggage for free of charge. I had a long flight and wanted to take shower and change but I could not. That is a bit nuisance. Other than that it was a wonderful experience. I would stay at First Cabin Akasaka again and would be better prepared next time.
Central, great facilities, comfortable and great value for $”
I recently travelled solo to Japan, I spent 6-nights at First Cabin Akasaka and was most impressed by this accomodation. The facilities were well equipped, the bathrooms were exceptionally clean and serviced everyday. Dorms were surprisingly spacious, given the lay-out and although the screens made a little noise generally speaking I was very impressed by the set-up. If you’re travelling alone, I highly recommend this place! It’s central, has great facilities and is extremely good value for money! Solo traveler A++ Facilities A++ Cleanliness A++ Dorm noise B+
First Class Cabin”
I stayed in the first class cabin. The women's floor is mixed with Business and First cabin. I had requested to be next to my friend and they were able to put us close together (business cabin separated us). Bathroom and dressing room was conveniently on the same floor as well as a drink vending machine. I like firm beds and their bed is FIRM. There was a lock box under the bed, and a TV in my cabin. They gave me locks for my luggage so that I can tie them together for storage when I am not in the hostel. The doors to my cabin do not close and that's a requirement, so if you have any valuables, store them in the drawer you can take that key with you any where. This place is a quite place, not great for big groups. Whenever my friend and I had to talk we had to whisper if we are in the cabins or go to the cafe downstairs or the bathing area downstairs. Breakfast is not provided, there are convenient stores near by and a cafe downstairs that offer discount for those staying at FIRST CABIN. Staff are so friendly it's cute. Service in Japan amazes me. I highly recommend this place for solo travelers!
excellent location and facility ”
for who used to stay in the hostel (upper bed/lower deck style dormitory), First Cabin Akasaka is a way better. the space is bigger and has more privacy. For the facilities, they got every things. basically you don't need to bring any shampoo, body/facial care or cleaner. the only problem for me is the sound of the curtain for economy cabin, each time the curtain is drawn making a big sounds. Other than that, every thing is perfect.
I couldn't have asked for a better accomadation”
My first time at the "cabin" style hotel. Absolutely perfect for my location, easy to find, very nice neighborhood, etc. Practically every ammenity was provided. I was afraid of being stuck with something expensive and claustrophobic for my first time in Tokyo, but First Cabin was well-priced and extremely comfortable. (and I love the bath, hahaha.)
best cabin hotel for traveler”
all good rate for First Cabin hotels, specially in Akasaka. I got all services with good budget and suitable for solo traveler. Even they have soak pool in their bathroom to relax my feet and body after explore Tokyo
I loved it!”
I had a great experience staying at First Cabin Akasaka. The cabin was perfect for my needs, very clean with a lockable drawer. The facilities were great and clean as well, lots of products available in the shower/bathroom. They give you towels and slippers. I would definitely stay there again.
Great and New”
Recommended for solo travellers. The Akasaka branch is new, location and facilities are perfect. Close to 2 subway station. One station 60 meters from the hotel and the other is about 2 minutes walk. I booked the first class cabin and it's perfect. The facilities is superb, there's even a small onsen on the basement lounge area. I will definitely stay here again.
Above and beyond”
Was so pleased with the accommodation, especially for the price I paid for it. I received pyjamas, slippers, shower stuff, there was a free luggage storage with a personal lock, TV in my small cabin (it felt more like a small hotel room!) and charging facilities. No noise from anyone else on the floor. The Japanese style bathing room was a definite plus. Also incredibly close to train station for easy travel.
Good First Cabin”
This is a nice place to stay in Akasaka but it is a slightly more run down First Cabin than others across Japan. It does however have an amazing position and very comfortable cabins.
Value and Convenience”
The cabins are more spacious than the usual capsul hostels. Though still challenged for space for luggage and other personal items, the height offers more breathing space. It’s difficult to pack the luggage inside without disturbing other guests. I used the guest lounge at the basement to pack my luggage. The location is very near the Metro station so it’s so convenient for travellers. The place is clean and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Great value for money.
Very clean place, very near to akasaka metro station, about 2 mins walk.”
Pro : very near to akasaka station, very clean place, friendly staffs, very near to 24 hours supermarket (about 2 mins walk) Con : only 2 private shower cubicles
Nice budget friendly cabin hotel. Not for light sleepers. Facilities are very good and location. ”
Cleanliness, location and amenities provided. Not for light sleepers. Bigger cabins recommended if with more luggage to be able to store in your own bed cabin otherwise you have to share. Staff are friendly.
They have a realy late check in time of 5pm....And you have to be out by 10am. Beds are way to firm. Noisy shutters so in the mornings from 7am til 9.30 all you hear are zips, keys in bedside locks and sliding shutters...up down up down constantly. I thought first cabin was gunna be a good way to finish out trip in japan but compared to the capsule hotel we stayed in kyoto.....we were pretty dissapointed. Super helpfully staff though but it's all about how well you sleep...right?
Cabin is better than a capsule”
Because of the cabin setup, it depends a lot on the other guests if you can rest well there. Other than that, all looks clean and well maintained, and most of the staff is friendly. What I'm missing is hot water and a microwave oven in the lobby (which is in the basement. Absolutely great is the availability of a hot bath.
Great location and value for money. The bedding, towels and night clothing was changed daily which was a nice touch. The hotel had a nice calm ambience compared to the hustle and bustle outside. Great choice for seeing Tokyo as it was quite central.
Rajbhandari from Nepal”
This place is really nice, very clean, affordable. I could leave my luggage for 4 hours and did my business meeting in Tokyo. Staff are very kind and polite. Shower, toilet are very clean. The place was also very warm and nice. I could sleep and relax well. Further, the place is only 5 minutes by walking from Tameyike-Sanno station and also Asakasa Staion is very near too.
Perfect for a solo traveller”
Everything was so nice. I will definitely go back to First Cabin!
Excellent hotel, excellent neighbourhood”
I loved staying at this hotel. Not only is the hotel fantastic, but the neighbourhood is pretty awesome too. The hotel is located around the corner from the theatre, as well as shops, restaurants and the subway (Chiyoda and Nomayaku line). The hotel amenities are awesome, they provide you with pyjamas and slippers, in addition to lovely bath and lotion products. The spa is truly world class, as is the bathroom. There is a communal lounge with comfortable sofas, vending machines, and a flat screen tv. Wifi is easily accessible throughout the hotel. The beds are comfortable with luxurious cotton sheets. Please be sure to familiarise yourself with the pod concept before booking, so your expectations are in line with reality. Each pod has lockable storage for smaller items, while your luggage can be kept in a section and secured with a lock. The pod itself cannot be locked (in accordance with safety regulations). Keyes cafe has a delicious selection of food and drinks and the service is wonderful. They run specials, breakfast and lunch, so be sure to take advantage of that. The staff at the cafe and hotel are friendly and helpful.
Place was nice.. but!...”
First I love the place, it was nice with simplicity and spacious room, problem lies with only 1 elevator to access bath room, you cant use stairs for it, room a lil bit noisy if other tenants coming in as its actually semi closed room, upper part of the door is open. Location for foods are awesome, many options for foods nearby hostel.
