"Great location and helpful staff, sorted a room booking issue effectively and provided an upgrade. Funky layout and decorating was fun, with a big games room area and courtyard for enjoying. Caution the onsite parking fees for the Fisherman's Wharf area are high ~$60++ per night so that was a gotcha for us. Busy location but waterfront so right next to the main tourist strip."

"Best part of this hotel was it's close proximity to Fisherman's Wharf (Pier 39) and it's spotless, spacious rooms. Restaurant is excellent as well with a decent wine selection. Beware if your room is across from the Parking deck (North Point Blvd?). Every night around 3am it sounds as if there is a riot going on outside (local club closing for the night?). In any event, the neighborhood around the hotel seemed a bit unsafe in the late evening. During the day and early evening when there are alot of tourists around it is fine. I am giving the hotel a "Satisfied" rating because of the service and the overall hotel experience, however the early morning noise/activity is very concerning and would discourage me from walking around at night."

"Located right in the heart of the Fisherman's Wharf area, the Wharf Inn is in the middle of tourist central and easy walking distance to many attractions. Rooms are very basic and have little in terms of amenities. We had a king bed, two armchairs, a desk and a TV, so we didn't spend much time in the room other than to sleep. Bathroom looked like it was recently renovated, but pretty basic sink, toilet and shower and very inconsistent water temperature from sink and shower. The room felt a little over priced for what you get, but it was clean and staff were friendly. Security was good in that you had to key card to get through the main gate and again to access the elevator. "

"It is very close to Fisherman's Wharf, and only a few blocks next to the Chinatown. It is very easy to find a bus station to get to the Union Square. I think it is the best place to choose!!! PS: You can find a store at Pier 39 to rent a bike, it is a good experience for you to ride across the Golden Bridge~"

"The hotel is very new. It's clean and basic amenities in the room are available. The staff were all helpful and friendly, attends to your requests very effectively. Since it's still a new hotel, some services may not be available yet, for example, there's no vending machine in the hotel so make sure to buy your snacks before hand, breakfast is also not yet available as their pantry is still work in progress. There's a complementary coffee and tea in the morning at the lobby, but in my 2-days stay, they are all gone by the time I wake up(around 9am). The location is very good that your a few walks away to good restaurants and coffee shops. It's like 3 minutes away from the Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39, a few minutes walk to Lombard Street (very steep uphill walk), Cable Car station and to the Ghirardelli Square. Overall experience is very good. I would recommend this hotel if you're planning to stay near the bay area. It's a more relaxed area compared to Downtown SFO. "

"Close to very good and authentic food and people. The Saloon only a hundred metres up, good live music there and drinks at very reasonable prices. Rooms facing Columbus Street a bit noisy at weekend with strip club and other bars just downstairs. But that's the tradeoff for the location. Busy intersection. 15 minute walk to fisherman's wharf. Showers are a little letdown but it's manageable. Staff are really friendly. "

"We stayed for four nights in a King Room along with two other couples who were in two other rooms at the hotel. The location was perfect for what we needed - walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, local transportation, grocery store (Safeway), and drug stores (Walgreens and CVS). Rooms were clean and well kept; just some wall dings that made it look a little worn out in areas. The air conditioning in our room wasn't working when we first got in, but someone showed up to repair it within 10 minutes of our calling the Front Desk. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Valet parking at $59 per night felt steep, but parking in the nearby garages wasn't much cheaper and felt definitely less secure than parking at the hotel. All in all, a great stay, and a hotel that I would recommend!"

"Small rooms part of its Victorian charm. Beautiful decor true to the era. Shared bathrooms not a problem as kept spotlessly clean. Warm towels available on heater rail. Friendly and helpful staff. Coffee and tea free all day. Facilities to print your boarding card. Earplugs and sound machine in room, not needed but a thoughtful gesture to aid a good night's rest. Well located within walking distance of fisherman's wharf, pier 39, Powelll/mason tram etc and cafes, restaurants and grocery stores. Would definitely go again. Recommended by my son and daughter-in-law who will also be going again now they live in San Diego."
