“Not ideal for family”
Basic decent rooms. Main disadvantage is the help staff are all very annoying and asking for tips for every single job they do. The hotel boy literally dropped off our bags in the room and demanded money. Ideally people tip when checking out but here you have to keep on tipping from entry to exit. The housekeeping staff demand tips even if they didn’t clean your room. Demanding tips happened even at the reception in front of the front-office staff and they didn’t have any problem with it. The complimentary breakfast is decent. I just wish the staff were trained to interact with guests and not annoy them. Also, the most important part - this isn’t really a hotel. It’s more like a paying guest accommodation. They don’t have a restaurant but apparently they have in house cooking and serve in the rooms. Breakfast alone is served in a small roof top room. The location is highly accessible with many shops / restaurants nearby. There is a TV which was another cherry on the cake. It was not working and the staff came and fixed it. In next 5 mins, it again stopped working and I just went to sleep not bothering to call help again. I just knew I didn’t hit the jackpot this time and had to put up with it. Above all what surprised me was the note that was stuck in every room that said to take care of your belongings and lock away the stuff safely in the bags and to notify the front office if you don’t want housekeeping to enter your room, and that management was not responsible for any theft. This is what shocked me. We book rooms with the hope that we and our belongings will be safe for the night and such a note from the management felt very unaccountable. I still don’t comprehend how this hotel has 4.+ stars in most of the booking apps, I was certainly not happy with my experience. I would have called it value for money if not for the annoying attitude of the staff. Maybe I’m expecting a bit too much for ₹3885 that I paid per night? Idk!
