Fletcher Hotel - Restaurant Steenwijk is a pleasant hotel in Steenwijk. The hotel has a garden with a pond and free Wi-Fi. It is also situated 20 km from the national park Weeribben-Wieden. The rooms have a private bathroom and a seating area.There is a fitness area to work out in. The Restaurant is nicely decorated and offers an à la carte dinner. There is a terrace for sunny weather. Great location, older hotel, skeleton crew but functional ”
Location is fantastic, only a few mins to Giethoorn or Steenwijk centrum, and right off the freeway exit. They have a small skeleton crew all shift, so you might have to wait. Also, there is no reception. Reception is by the bar which was kinda different. The night staff was very helpful, but the morning host/receptionist was a bit stressed. She was not friendly. Breakfast was adequate. The kitchen crew/bus lady was very pleasant, although she was also probably more function than she should. Rooms were clean overall, but generally dated. Don’t expect a fancy room. We booked a family room but it was actually 2 adjoining rooms with 2 twin beds which was very sufficient. It was functional for what we needed, and the view was very green with a few Dutch houses in sight, so it was very relaxing. Overall, we recommend this hotel.
