Friendly and Nice”
Flintstones was probably my favourite place to stay in my 6weeks of travelling across South Africa. It's a small and quite place where you can relax and not be bothered. The ladies working there were the most friendliest and went out of their way many times to help me (a solo travellers first time in Africa). Rooms were nice and clean with good facilities. I also chose Flintstones because it was in a safe area and near to the Guatrain. Thanks Flintstones!

Stay was very good, except that when my friend who got in from Nigeria was asked by the customs official at the airport where she was staying and then they wanted to confirm if she was actually staying at the flints tones,they would not take their call until 12noon,it was very frustrating as they were about to send her back to nigeria for not having an accommodation in Johannesburg when she actually did and paid for it up front,except that,hotel staff are fantastic.

Fun & at home feeling”
I enjoyed my stay just want to point out to future Guest, that the room was sharing a bathroom with another room as well as the Price that I paid for was for one person and not per room, and had to pay in extra upon arrival which was disappointing, the initial price I rate value for money, but if I knew about the extra cost earlier I wouldn't have picked the Specific Guest house. Both this facts weren't clearly marked on the website.

Disappointed and embarrassed as I took the decision to book based on what I read on Agoda. ”
The standard room is based on standards from yester-year. The staff are damnside noisy, e.g. there are signs posted "be aware guests are sleeping- do not make a noise etc. " But I was woken up daily at 6am to staff talking loud in the kitchen and dropping dishes on the floor- most annoying. The taps on the wash basin were separate hot and cold and the joy water tap was loose so it rotating all over, there are tiles missing in the shower cubicle- to sum up never go near Flintstone again.

when we arrave there it was not what I booked had to pay R147 extra for a propper room it was suppose to be a last minute promotion ? you can can much better for R877 per night on arrival the staff were having a party in the reception did not look good

Disappointing and not value for money”
When I arrived, it was disappointing to be told that breakfast is up until 9am. Which B & B serves breakfast that ends at 9am? Everybodygoes on holiday to relax. nobody wants to wake up so early for breakfast. anyway I booked my breakfast at 8.30 because the lady that took my booking said that I couldn't book at 9am. The next morning I arrive at 9.15am because I was tired and overslept . only to be told that I was late and they couldnt serve me. Yet there was a table of people that were still having their breakfast. How unfair!!! Then in the room itself, there was a dead insect stuck on the wall which hadnt been cleaned away from before i checked in. The sheets looked filthy. Lighting was so poor that I couldnt even see properly at night even when I switched on the light in the room and bathroom The shower floor was dirty. The rugs on the floor didnt look like it had been cleaned or washed in a while. No phone in the room to request an iron and ironing board. SO i had to walk to the re

I waited at the gate for nearly 15 minutes without anyone opening it and then had absolutely no apology from the relevant staff member who said she did not hear it. I phoned the number on their gate and got through to someone in Durban (700kms away) who organised for me to be let in. The staff member who greeted me was in her dressing gown at 6 in the evening !! In the morning when I went through for breakfast the staff member in the dining area was in her pyjamas (08h05) and absolutely nothing had been put out, I had to request milk for tea and fruit juice etc. Although advertised no yoghurt was ever supplied. The tap in the basin was constantly dripping. The tray that the kettle was on was full of water, which is rather dangerous I would say !

Accommodation was awful, on the site it said aircon and luxury room. When I got there it was the opposite. I did not even book in but went somewhere else more luxurious and cheaper.

Cockroach infested shack”
I took the budget room, one night stay and wow what a nightmare. My room entrance door could only close by locking it, no cutlery although there was a small kitchen. One of the staff entered my room though a side door unannounced, the toilet seat was loose, cockroaches climbing up the wall in the bathroom. Staff were apathetic and I couldn't wait to leave! Parking was a nightmare with very narrow access and curbs tones just waiting to damage your wheels. Definitely not a 3 star venue!
