Central location
The staff were helpful and accommodation, the rooms were very spacious and the off street parking was easy to manage. I would recommend this hotel to people wanting to see the sights of Durban from a central location. You might like to take ear plugs though to ensure a good nights sleep if staying on a weekend, as the local nightclub is pretty noisy!

The staff aren't friendly and the service is pathe
the location
Upon arrival, the receptionist had his name badge turned inside out, so no idea what was his name. We got up to the suite and realised that theres only one bed and with 4 adults sharing the suite it was insufficient. We went back down to reception to enquire about additional beds or another suite. We were very rudely told that there's a couch in the suite that opens into a bed and that someone will come to the suite in the evening to make the bed. Irate at this point we decided to stay anyway. At 11pm we called reception for additional bedding and to have the couch made into a bed. The female receptionist(just as rude as her male colleague), said that the staff have all left and that theres no room service at night. at around 1:30 am when we got back to the hotel. We went down to reception to ask if we could atleast have bedding and linen so we could make the bed ourselves.Apparently the laundry room was locked & no one on duty had keys to the room. Really now? 2 adults slept on a broken couch with no linen and a dirty blanket that we found in one of the cupboards. We were also given a faulty iron that constantly caused to power trip. The staff were giving us attistude like we were causing the power failure. The staff aren't friendly & should be trained wrt customer service. i've stayed at various other hotels. This was my first time at Florida park. Worst experience ever. Service is pathetic. They may not have the best facilities but the least they can do is be friendly and helpful. Management, are you asleep? We live in the 21st century. Customer Service is key to a successful business and the customer always comes first. The best form of marketing is "word of mouth". I will never recommend your hotel to family and friends.

Great location, decent room, poor service
Great location right in the heart of Florida Road, comfortable room
The room was pretty standard and average and a bit more spacious than most. A chair would have been nice. Front desk staff were not great. Management were helpful about where to eat etc. In the morning I asked the front desk where breakfast was and the young black guy on duty just walked away without saying anything the starts writing. I though this rather rude and then he mumbled something to me while sliding me a piece of paper which I saw was a breakfast voucher for across the road. I told him I could not hear him and he looked at me blankly. They are certainly not professional but the stay for the price was ok even though they originally gave me the wrong room type

Good location
Location, helpful staff, good bed
The room was fine though a bit dark. The bed was very comfortable The down side is that there is no fridge which is odd for a 3 start hotel.

Concerned by the service
Location, room size and safety
Generally it was a good stay, besides for the fact that at 3 am we were told there was no bedding for the sleeper couch in a four sleeper room. Then had to wait 30minutes for bedding. The staff was not helpful and told us there was nothing that could be done, only when we started to be firm did they figure something out.

Florida Park
1). Location; 2). Nice car guards in the parking; 3). ONE nice reception staff member who advised us that we can use our breakfast voucher at Europa as well.
Besides the fact that the rooms are tiny and absoultely basic, i am disappointed that considering i paid and expected at least a bar fridge, neater television, unused complimentary shampoo, refill of milk on the complimentary coffee tray, clean teaspoons and hair dryer without masking tape attempting to conceal open wires. Unhappy about the wrapper lying outside on the smoking balcony for days- i assume that it is still there. is a terrible what? i dont know what it is but the food and service is 100% disgusting. Also dont bother giving guests a voucher for a meal- i am sure beakfast costs more at a "3 star hotel" but how would you know- you dont deserve any stars.

Great room, 216. Noisy location,
good rooms, great central location
Only problem was a constant bang, bang, bang noise. Seemed to be in the walls, maybe loose compressor mounting somewhere in building?
