Beautifully clean and tidy, themed rooms, and breakfast in the barn, was like turning up to Christmas on an eccentric live TV show, amazing.

A delightful place”
Great facilities in the B and B house, log fire, comfortable, warm rooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The only downside is only having access to 1 toilet as it is in the shared bathroom. However, this was my second visit and I am looking forward to going back again as soon as I can, so it doesn't bother me that much. Overall experience here is unique and wonderful.
Loved the garden, the historic house, the staff, the uniqueness., the location and facilities. The shared kitchen had everything a traveller would need. It was lovely to sit and relax in the lounge feeling the warmth from the fire. If I had to give a downside, it would just be that another toilet would be useful as the only one in the shared house was in the bathroom. Would it stop me from staying again? Absolutely not. I can't wait to book another night (or two) in this beautiful place.
Lots of fruit trees

Great staff, great romantic stay”
If you are a couple and want a really nice and interesting place to stay. This is one to consider. We enjoyed it very much.
Great atmosphere, nice people
I stayed up late, in the studded leather chair, under the chandelier, overlooking the gorgeous gardens, I was the only one staying in the home, which is almost like the owners, walked out and left everything behind. Beautifully clean and tidy, themed rooms, and breakfast in the barn, was like turning up to Christmas on an eccentric live TV show, amazing. Highly recommended.
Fabulous home from home”
Unlike any other place we have ever stayed in. The welcome was warm and we fell in love with this place. We had a double room without ensuite so ask for ensuite if that is important to you. In our case the bathroom was a 6 metre walk down the corridor and we had the whole house to ourselves. The house is old but impeccably clean and full of antiques and collectables. Breakfast included and was generous in choice, bacon and eggs cooked in front of us. The gardens are wonderful and you can amble through them to the river, a haven of peace and quiet. Trish and Jenny were great host's with good suggestions for places to visit in the area. This place deserves recommendation as a totally different kind of guesthouse.
Great Plave and Location”

Surrounded by nature and roses, nice room and fantastic staff, we loved that place. The breakfast is a fantastic experience feeling like we were welcomed at Santa Claus's home. Really amazing place. We arrived late but Jenny welcomed us as friends. This is THE best B&B I have experienced. Thank you Jenny!

Location, gifts and gorgeous people”
Great location in beautiful gardens, the room was clean and spacious and the staff friendly in a country way not because they had to be. Felt like you were talking with old friends.
Very tranquil, serene and relaxing! Gardens are magnificent; house cool in more ways than one. We really enjoyed our stay - beautiful!!!
Serenity and fantastic gardens”
Loved the welcome you get from the geese. Real characters.
Beautiful quaint stay”
This house is so well furnished and makes you feel so at home. We were greeted by geese in the morning before we had our breakfast in the most pleasant gift shop.
