My room has mold
This place is pretty much fun down. It needs a total revamp. The AC was not working. The room smelled that of mold. The room came with breakfast. The food was terrible!

Its a grand hotel, old but well maintained. The rooms and specially the bathrooms need to be upgraded.

Luxurious Hotel to stay in the Province of Laoag Ilocos Norte
The room we stayed in had a bath tub with heater. The room had a phone, an electric hot water heater for coffee or tea, a refrigerator, a safety deposit box and cable television. A terrace overlooking the swimming pool, the driving range and the beach. The package we got included buffet breakfast. There was a bread station, juice station, coffee / tea / water station. An egg station and the buffet spread which consisted of noodles, rice, fried fish, sausages, ham, cake, fruits etc... The property offered free shuttle on mondays, wednesdays and fridays from the hotel to robinsons mall in san nicolas, then to puregold in laoag city, then back to the hotel. This was four times a day from 12 noon onwards. Schedule available at the front desk. On other days, you can hire a van that can take you around. The only negative thing in staying in this property is that if you don't have a car, it is hard to get around. There are no tricycles nearby. The only option is to hire a private van on the days when there is no shuttle provided by the hotel. Or you can rent a van from the hotel. Of course its a but expensive. Also, you can ask the concierge for cheaper options ini hiring a van or smaller vehicle. The place itself with all its amenities is worth the money you're paying for. A beautiful historic hotel to lay back and relax. Excellent location for a vacation with the whole family. There is an olympic sized pool, a tiled floor pool and a children's pool. There are a lot of activities available. My son went fishing and he had the time of his life. We also went swimming. The beach is not conducive to swim at the time we went there because of the high tide. There was also a mini zoo. The casino is closed, hopefully they will consider opening it in the near future. It would have made our stay perfect. I am looking forward in returning to Fort Ilocandia soon. I had a very memorable and relaxing stay.

Not the best place, awful service
I asked them to help deliver a spoon 2x, both said ok but none ever came until I fell asleep and wasn't able to eat the ice cream I bought from their shop. Under the bed is very dirty and I even found a sunglass that belonged to maybe the previous tenant. Water from the shower was weak. Water from The sink was noisy. Swimming pool was dirty and full of insects. Transportation going out or in was difficulty and take note their shuttle is only Monday, Wednesday, Fridays so we didn't have a shuttle going to the city on the last day. Friday afternoon shuttle to city proper was ok but Friday night shuttle going back to the resort they sent a small van so we couldn't fit in. Terrible!

Hotel is good. But better to upgrade foods
Hotel's facilities are very good but it is not so good maintenance. Also there are no sea sports activities.

We truly enjoyed our stay for 2 nights. Loved their pool, it's clean and safe. if you got bored with the pool, then you can stay at the shore. They have kubo where you can sit back, relax and listen to the sounding waves. We also tried their ATV (Php 1,200 for 20 minutes). It was an awesome experience. We also strolled at their mini zoo. They got peacock, deer, monkeys, goat, birds, etc. Their staffs are also friendly. Since they only got 2 floors, expect no elevator. So their staff will help you carry your luggages if you're staying at the 2nd floor. We initially requested in Agoda for a room with bath tub and luckily we got it. There is only 1 advise I can give though, it will be cheaper if you book directly to Fort Ilocandia. We were surprise when we arrived and approached the receptionist. Their 3D2N promo is only less than 7000 where as we booked in Agoda costs us 9600.

A gem in Ilocos but needs to be promoted more
Very grandiose and elegance, it is truly a gem of the north. Could have been better if itwill be promoted better.
