great hotel in which to base your Fort Cochin stay”
Ended up staying at Fort Muziris twice, and got ti sample staying in each of the room types they offer. I highly recommended spending a bit extra ti be able to stet on the top floor - they are the nicest rooms, with comfortable beds, TVand ac. There us a very nice sitting area outside the rooms that is a common space for the two upper floor rooms. The rooms on the main floor are a bit noisy at night from the surrounding neighbors, and have a very public sitting area to watch tv or relax in. They also have ac. The cheapest rooms are on the lower floor - fan only, but much quieter than the main floor. No TV either. Breakfast is included in the price fir the top two level rooms, but not the lower floor rooms. The rooms were extremely clean, the men who work their very helpful and there is a cafe with free wifi . There are also a large number of public computers available with a nominal charge for usage time. Food at the cafe is good. Hotel is very well located in historic part of Fort Cochin. As a single female solo traveler - I would highly recommend stating at Fort Muziris

Fort Muziris is great value for a budget Hotel. The Manager is very helpful, the included breakfast has good choices, there is a balcony common area. The location is perfect in the heart of Fort Kochi.

Exactly what we needed”
Fort Muziris was recommended to us by a friend who used to live in Fort Cochin. He would book his 'important' visitors to stay there. We arrived late due to our flight being delayed, so all restaurants had closed, but the owner brought us some fruit slices and freshly squeezed juice. The room and bathroom was very clean and comfortable, with a TV and AC. The complementary South Indian breakfast of idli and sambar was delicious. The location is excellent, surrounded by handicraft shops and seafood restaurants and a matter of metres to Chinese fishing nets. The owner and his family are very friendly and helpful, and the cost is very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Clean place in the heart of the action”
we were pleased upon our arrival that we we bumped up to the double room with aircon and tv. very nice and clean. the staff are also very friendly, but then again, so is everyone in fort kochi. we enjoyed our stay, but sadly there were no rooms available for the next day so we had to find another place to stay for the next couple of nights.

amazing location and wonderful staff”
my stay was easy and wonderful. as I was traveling alone, I was made to feel very safe and secure. the room was simple but clean and comfortable, and everything in working order. when you dine at the restaurant it overlooks busy princess street. it's also a nice place to admire the storms without getting wet. I felt very well taken care of at fort muziris!

Great value, well located home stay”
I enjoyed my stay at Fort Muziris Hotel, which is more accurately a home stay. My air-conditioned upstairs room was spacious, comfortable and clean with pleasing en-suite. The adjoining bookshop and internet cafe were a bonus as was the long balcony where you can enjoy delicious meals while surveying the vibrant Princess Street below. The hotel is well located in the heart of Fort Cochin close to all the main attractions. Hosts were great and ensured that I enjoyed my stay. Truly a home from home.

Nice hotel in an excellent location.”
We stayed for 3 nights in a deluxe A/C room on the second floor. The rooms were very clean and spacious and the bathrooms were also very clean. The only strange thing is the hole at the top of the wall that goes into the bathroom of the neighbouring room. The hotel service is good. Even though our booking didn't include breakfast, the hotel still gave us a complimentary breakfast. There is an internet cafe and wifi in the hotel, as well as a bookstore, and a convenience store on the ground floor, making everything very convenient. The location is very good, close to everything in Fort Cochin and it is easy to get to. Overall, I was happy with my stay.

Great Service”
My wife and I very much enjoyed our 4 day stay here. Gopan had someone waiting at the airport for us, arranged a very nice and inexpensive backwaters day trip, and also a long-distance taxi for the next leg of our journey. He and his co-owner Habib were consistently friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, if a bit dark and small, and hot water and ac were reliable. Breakfast options were many and plentiful, and the breakfast balcony over Princess St was very pleasant. The location was very near Kochi Beach and surrounded by many nice restaurants and shops. Altogether a great value.

Easy stay in Fort Cochin”
Fort Muziris is in heart of Fort Cochin and it's easy to walk around. Wifi was fast and worked in our room which was a nice treat vs. everywhere else we've stayed in India. The staff was incredibly helpful especially as we had odd requests such as leaving items as we left and returned to retrieve after a week. We stayed in two different rooms and the room on 3rd floor was very nice, although much more expensive. AC and Wifi worked very well in both rooms. We would return to Fort Muziris on our next trip through Fort Cochin!

Great little place in the shade”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Muziris. We arrived quite late but the manager greeted us warmly and showed us to our quarter which was clean, spacious and cool. The staff were proficient in English and fully accommodated our needs. We opted for the non-AC and it was enough because the overhead fan was powerful enough in keeping the heat away. It's just a shame we were only able to stay the single night before having to change hotel as they were fully booked the following day. The complimentary breakfast was more than satisfactory; I had an English breakfast while the girlfriend had her muesli with honey dipped yogurt - complete with a platter of fresh cut fruits. Really wholesome stuff.

Excellent Location, Friendly Staff”
+ Amazing location right in the center of the Fort area. 5 minutes (or less) walk to Kathakali dance, waterfront and markets + The main manager is always there for you and helps to arrange tours or other tickets. He helped with a bad mosquito problem in the room, which worked well! + Air con! + Free breakfast was pretty good, fresh - Wifi was hit or miss from room. Slightly better in lobby

In heart of Fort Kochi Excellent hosts Good breakfast Internet patchy Cleaned every other day Shower pressure adequate but could have been better Had top floor pretty much to myself which was excellent. Rampaging dogs running thro town at 2:00am each morning ruined the sleep a little. India!!!!

Great location & terrific staff”
Loved my stay. It was very easy to get around Ft Kochi from here but it is tucked in a small side street so it was quiet and overlooked by the small balcony where breakfast was served. I love idli and sambar and they didn't have sambar the first morning of my 2 night stay but made sure to have it on the 2nd. The rooms are small and dark but more than adequate for the time one is going to be there. A/C was a must even in the "cooler" late-November as the humidity can be quite high. The water heater for shower - yes, even in warm climes, a little warmth in the shower is nice - was shared with the next room which I didn't realize initially. The switch to turn it off is outside and my neighbor turned it off once without my awareness and earlier had showered prior to mine, before I realized it was shared. The place is a little funky and not especially charming but it is a terrific value in a terrific location with great people. And when the owner recommends a nearby restaurant, Fusion Bay, don't hesitate! It was absolutely fantastic and I regret not returning for another meal. They have a Facebook page and tons of reviews on TripAdvisor too The food is traditional Syrian Christian, and Malabari cuisine focusing on fish, as is appropriate in this fishing village.

Great Location - in Fort Cochin”
This is a budget hotel in the centre of Fort Cochin. The room was small but good value for money. Staff were friendly and happy to please. Email cafe attached to the building which made it easy to plan onward travel. If you are looking for a small budget hotel this is a good one.
