This is located in tst. I have pleasant stay here for 5 days. Solo room on a budget a little bit small and also its own bathroom literally a small one, but it is super clean. They clean the room everyday. Like the stay here

cheap and good location”
I was able to book a 2 double beds, good for 4 persons, for me and my partner for a very cheap price!! This hotel is situated in the heart of the busy streets of Tsim Sha Tsui. Chungking Mansion has food stalls, groceries, make up stores, drug stores. Beside it is the mtr station, shopping malls and restaurants. There are indians on the ground floor of chunking mansion that offer rooms. They can be annoying but just say no to them. There are also money changers at the GF with good deal of exchanges. There are 2 tiny elevators, and our lift is on the right. There is usually a line, but that's manageable. There are queues anywhere anyway. Fortunate guesthouse is at the 11F. Easy to find. Alice welcomed us, got herself a copy of my passport and then escorted us to our room. It was tidy and simple and it has a small bathroom. Our room doesn't have a window and there was a faint smell of curry at first but my partner didn't even notice the smell(I have a sensitive nose), but I think I just got used to it . The water heater and air-conditioning works well. We are free of noise, so we get to sleep well at night. A Filipino staff cleans our room everyday when we are out and replace our towels with clean ones. It is not like other fancy hotels, but I definitely recommend this place 😊

just as other reviews said it was”
This was just as other reviews said it was. It is good for budget travelers who want to stay in convenient place (Tsim Sha Tsui). Owner is hospitable. Room is clean. Room is spartan. It is in a very convenient location very near Tsim Sha Tsui MTR. But room is small. Must get own electricity adapter to use U.S. electric plug for computer by buying it from a nearby electronics store. Must get own bottled water from nearby convenience store. And I had to buy my own bar of soap from nearby convenience store. Toilet paper was provided. Room is on 11th floor in Chungking Manor. Bustling place and on first appearances, a sketchy place. But as another reviewer wrote, the elevator is the first one on the left. There is an elevator attendant on the first floor to make sure people wait in line properly. There are closed circuit television cameras that show the two elevator insides, for safety monitoring. Sometimes you must wait in line for the elevator. Good for budget travelers.

Exceptional”
Staying at Chungking mansion is quite scary because of those Nepalese and indians offering rooms infront of the Mansion. But staying at Tsim Tsa Tsui is much better than any place. Its accessible place from transportation, shopping and restaurants. Value for money. Accommodating staff who is Ate Ester, so glad that she is also a filipina from davao. She change our towel everyday, clean our room, and change our bedsheets every other day.. super clean CR. Room isnt spacious enough but for couple traveler it is reallly enough. Since we do not stay longer in the room. Thanks Fortunate Guest House.

Great location”
In the middle of Tsim Sha Tsui. 2min walk to MTR station. Our room was clean and bed was comfy. Hot shower and free toothbrush & toothpaste available. There are also bath towels provided and were changed everyday. Though there’s already an aircon, there still a fan. There’s also TV though only local channels. Our room has windows and can see the street of Nathan road. Guesthouse provides hot water and drinking water for guests - just refill your bottle water. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. The socket in the room is different that’s why you need to buy your own socket beside the building ($30).

nice location, very near to MTR station. ~1minute walk. ~5minute walk to avenue of star + biggest shopping street where you can find your branded shop. the room given to me is single bed room, which you need to share the toilet. two toilet for sharing, no issues, because not much people using. the room is very small, do not expect much from hong kong. they provide clean towel. and exchange everyday which i like the most of this guest house. the staff is helpful. if you consider a very low budget guest house. you may consider it

neat, clean, good internet connection, safe, tranquil place”
we had great time staying at new fortunate guest house. the place is so tranquil no noisy guest disturbance experienced. trash disposed everyday, bed sheets folded when you come back, room cleaned, with hot water for coffee or tea, with hot water for bath, aircon is great. with good wifi connection and friendly manager. lucky for us our room has windows and can see view of the exterior buildings and road. elevator has cctv camera and large lcd monitors that is monitored by security and people at elevator entrance. new fortunate is at chung king mansion ang you can easily make friends with travelers staying on that same building. with filipina front desk assistant. will definitely go back to this place

Budget clean rooms”
If you will be out most of the time and just need a decent place to sleep, this place is highly recommended. ate esther is your mom away from home. she asked us if we have the basic things we need before we went to our room. By the way, we booked triple room and we have to transfer from Block A to Block E as their triple rooms are located in Block E. Its different hostel (Peninsula hostel) but still managed by Fortunate Guest House. Ups: Room is cleaned everyday Our towels were changed everyday Excellent location - MTR is just across the building. Downs: Chungking Elevator - we always have to queue for elevator Chungking Building - it was bit scary at first because of those offering rooms in front of the building (especially if you’re carrying your luggage with you!) but you’ll get used to it in no time. They are harmless. Thanks!

Excellent”
Fortunate Guest House was a great, more budget-friendly, accommodation. The staff were nice and we had our own room. The room was small but had everything we needed. Facilities were clean also. The location was excellent and I would definitely stay here again! The only issue with this accommodation was getting to the room. It is inside Chunking Mansions on the 11th floor. And there is only one elevator servicing the odd numbered floors in that block so sometimes you can be waiting awhile or just taking the stairs. When you first arrive and the first few times you go in and out of the building you will be harassed by the many people trying to get you to stay in their guesthouse, just ignore them and if you are there for more than a couple days they will quickly recognize you and quit bugging you! If these things don't bother you too much then Fortunate Guest House is definitely worth it with MTR stations all around you and the Harbor and Avenue of Stars about a 5 minute walk. Enjoy HK!

A Pleasant Stay For A Solo Traveler”
As an Asian, the size of the bed is enough for my height. I’ve prepared my heart and red a lot about budget hotels in HK before I began my journey, so I wasn’t surprised when I saw the small room. I prefer a small single room with single bed and inside bathroom rather than dormitory style with shared bathroom. Yes, it’s a bit more expensive than dormitory style, but I loved it anyway. The air conditioner works well, the wifi speed was goood. The wifi was really helpful to search for info and even more to upload my photos/videos to online storages. 👍 - The staff was nice, there were two of them. The one who handle the registration (a Hong Konger, I guess) was very helpful and informative. While, another one is a Pinay, was also friendly and handling all the towel/bed sheet changing, as well as daily cleaning. - I have no complaints about this place coz I came with managed expectation. if I have the chance to visit Hong Kong again, I would consider to stay here 😁

Recommended place to stay in hong kong”
The location very strategic where the free airport shuttle bus stop near the hotel, walking distance to the MTR station and a lot of shops at the hotel. The hotel lady also very kind and clean the room everyday. The bathroom also attached to the room, so no need to share with other guest. The hotel also provided hot water for drink and iron if you needed. The room is small but i guess it reasonable with that price in hong kong. Just the lift to the hotel very small and lobg queue.

Great place to stay. ”
I would highly recommend Fortunate Guest House. The owner and the receptionist were really kind and helpful during our stay. They suggested places to shop and eat. The were very friendly and considerate. The rooms were neat and very clean. It is a very good location if you want to shop around as it is in the center of the city. They also warned us of places to avoid and were very helpful all throughout.

Clean and Convenient”
I stayed at Fortunate Guesthouse for a week. I was blown away by how great the staff was. Very friendly! And she was constantly changing the linens for me, and providing me with new towels, and in general keeping the place clean and tidy. I would often come back at night to find her cleaning the bathrooms or other facilities. Cheap with a good location - you can't get any better than that. Quite safe as well, as long as you ignore the hawkers when first entering Chungking Mansion. If you're going to stay in a hostel in Hong Kong, make it this one.

Affordable Room, Strategic Location”
Pros - in the middle of Tsim Sha Tsui - near MTR - affordable - owner is accommodating Cons - very small unit (well you get what you pay) - uncomfortable pillows - Water Heater - reversed setting (meaning I got burns when I placed the temperature to cool) - intermittent internet Pro-tip, look for CHUNGKING MANSION instead of the name of the guest house. Got lost when trying to locate this area. Overall, if you are in a budget, this is a good place to stay. Don’t expect breathtaking views or large space for the room, though.

Value for money in Central HongKong”
Fortunate Guest House is located in the infamous Chungking Mansion right on the busy Nathan Road. It was walking distance to shopping malls, hole in the wall restaurants and the HK Space Museum. The room was cramped but clean, the Chinese lady was pleasant and always greeted us with a warm smile as we come and go.

Clean, Affordable and Accessible”
We stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights. We availed of the family room with two double beds for 2 adults and 2 kids. We got a room with the view of Nathan Road and the I-square shopping center. The comfort room is spacious enough. It has hot and cold shower. Since cabinet was not provided, enough number of hangers were given. Ate Esther, the caretaker, was friendly and always cleaned the room everyday. She also changed towels each day. Wifi is free. The place is near the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station, A21 bus stop in Middle Road and Koi Kei bakery and Jenny Bakery that are known for delicious cookies and cakes. We will book this place again

Reasonable and comfortable”
If you are looking for a budget hostel or guesthouse in the area of Tsim Sha Tsui, this could be one of your choices. The staff were nice and checkin did not take much time. Even though the Chungking Mansions may be a bit of a ghetto with bad reviews but this place, for me, was safe and I didnt find any threats here, both inside or outside of the guesthouse. Queueing for the elevator was alright as it was not as much as I expected. The heater didnt seem to work well and I had to shower with cold water lol so this may be a minus. Overall, reasonable price for clean accommodation and location. I would stay here for the next time in HongKong unless I find any nicer options.
