Stayed 4 nights in March 2017
Chose this hotel because it looked different.”
The carved furniture, tiled floors and and soft furnishings appealed. In reality it was just as presented online. Rooms were spotless, spacious and accessed by slow lift or stairs. No aircon or fan. Opening windows and breeze portal kept the temperature comfortable and air fresh. Bed good, shower over bath, good access and lighting, Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Breakfast was not full buffet style. Options were sufficient to get us started for the day. Location on a busy road so street noise was evident. Easy access to taxis, Walking distance to main market, temple, lake and small local restaurants. Research the local attractions online first. We found lots to see and do within 15 - 60 minute taxi trips from the hotel. Would stay again in March/April while its cooler.

Good but Forgetable”
Upon arrival there are two hotels named exactly the same next to each other. Don't go for the one on the left, it's the right that's your destination. The people are wonderful and help you with ease. Many staff members have little English so it can be rather frustrating. Upon entering the room, there were large windows and a balcony facing away from the main street. This did not mean we had a quiet night, nor morning. There was construction across the way with someone using a chainsaw starting around 6am and continuing until lunch time. Also, the hallways aren't very sound proof. I could hear the staff or other tenants moving about throughout the entire hotel. Kept me awake to all hours of the night thinking someone was right outside my doorway. During the day it's in a great location. It's not directly in the center of town, but close enough you can walk to it. There are some pagoda's that you can walk to as well and many cafes for food and beverages. The staff let's you know the price for everything before you book anything. I rented a motorbike (a norm in any Vietnam town) and they gave me a beat up bike that was a bit too small for me and was very difficult to manage. Be careful of this since it does happen many places. Test the bike first and request a new one if you feel it unsafe. Although the noise and bike were annoying, the living and cleanliness and friendliness were most welcoming. I recommend this place for any traveler, but don't pay full price. It's definitely not worth it.

Near the lake.”
Good value if somewhat over the top furniture in the room. Wifi good but breakfast basic but they try and provide one's preferences. Just to be picky, the furniture helps to create noise as it is oversized and impractical. The front desk staff were very attentive and whilst this hotel caters to the locals, they were very helpful.

My review”
Thumbs up to the Aunty who served us yoghurt every morning and make sure that we have enough foor. Excellent breakfast if one like Vietnamese spread. Room a little tight. Had expected a bigger room from the reviews of previous travellers.
