Very small room and toilet and bath area.”
Our whole stay their our room and bed sheets they dont change it even once.their towels sooo thin that they need to change it to new one. Its hard to talk to the staff all they say to you “no english”.i have a lot of bites in my legs that turns very red and very very itchy.the room is so small that we need to put our luggages and shoes outside of the room.the room is so dusty.
Value for money, for budget travellers! ”
Location is great, a 5 min walk from Mongkok station exit E2. Surrounded by many food shops and drugstores. Room is clean and you get clean towels everyday. Staff is polite, and hot water for bathing is available (a major plus for me). Room is a bit small, but this is for those who are on a budget, and a great value-for-money option. Receptionists speak only Cantonese and chinese, so please come prepared if you don't speak either of these languages.
Expensive for 1 star”
Close to everything like street food Ladies market and mtr was convenient. Cons Overpriced and did not speak English also we came back at 5 pm from a day out and the main door was locked with a sign in Chinese
A hidden gem amidst d bustling street vendors. Good location as it’s near MTR station n night market. Clean room n fresh towels daily r d plus points. 5 of us stayed for 4 nights. There's a self service laundry just a road behind the hotel. But do take note that self service laundry is usuable between 20:30 to 07:00 only.
Malapit sa mtr mongkok e2 exit then turn right landmark infront of mcdo super lapit sa shopping area and marami food Along the street safe siya kasi 24hrs may tao sa front desk pwede din iwan gamit pag check out saka kunin pag aalis na.
Building lobby is smelly & warm as there is one stall who sales the intestines.”
This guest house did not provide water bottle, the kettle was corroded. Need to buy mineral water yourself. Mongkok area is crowded everyday where the Ladies Market located, a tourist attraction for shopping.
BEST Value for Money and GREAT location! ”
This was the best decision I've ever made when i was planning my HK trip. I was torn between booking a room in TST or Mongkok and ended up in Mongkok which was really awesome! Location was PERFECT! Near the MRT station and bus stops (a lot). From the airport you can take the A21 bus, alight at bank central and just walk a few blocks to reach the hotel. It's not very easy to locate but with Google Maps you wont get lost. Look for Wing Wah Building, the rooms are in the 5th floor. Across Wing Wah Bldg is Izzue shop which is on the same block for Exit D2 if you are taking the MRT. Me and my 15 year old son really enjoyed our stay. The ambiance is just wonderful! A lot of street foods, just a few meters from Ladies Market and a couple of blocks away from Sneaker Street. If you are a fan of Milk Teas then this place would be heaven! LOL They are everywhere! A lot of other shops as well and grocery is just across Izzue, Wellcome is the name of the grocery store. Mcdonalds is just across too
cleaner than some, but still borderline”
Having stayed, over the years, in many cheap hotels in this area, I gave this establishment a try, and was disappointed. First, the room was not like the one pictured when I booked the room, but vastly smaller. Worse yet, the bedding smelled like a combination of dirty feet and moth balls. The one, thin towel provided was not completely dry, and also smelled funny. To top things off, the man at the counter chain-smoked day and night, and the stench permeated my room and the hall outside. If the bedding and towels were acceptably clean and odor-free, and a smoking ban in effect, then this would be an acceptable, if minimal accommodation for a man or solo traveller, but most ladies would find this place uncomfortable.
We would recommend this hotel but you need to be aware of hat to expect. The location is great only half a block from the ladies market. Area is very, very busy. Easy to walk to restaurants and shopping. The women who work at the hotel are great, but have very limited English. The evening manager, who is male, is not a nice person. This is not a hotel in the conventional sense, it is only part of one floor in an obscure building which is difficult to find. There is one small hallway with 4 or 5 rooms. It is actually more of a rooming house. The room was clean, small and did have a private bathroom. There is no separate shower area, there is just a hose connected above the toilet. It is not inexpensive by North American standards, but for Hong Kong it was better than we expected it to be.
-Near MTR exit E2. Also near restaurant, sneaker street and ladies market -if you will be riding A21 bus going to hotel, bus stop is in Bank Centre then walk 5 mins going to wing wah building -bus going back to the airport, walk across Bank Centre, in front of jewelry store Cons: -Foul smell entrance of the building because of food stall outside
The location is great”
If you are looking for affordable and good location, this is one of the good choices. As any guesthouse in HK, don't expect a spacious room with good shower. Purposely booked family rooms so that we have little bit extra space for two of us. The partition too thin, we can hear people talking, walking and go-in/out.
The hotel is very convenient to mtr stations and ladies market
The hotel is very near in shopping area,
Near airport bus stop A21 shop and restaurant near by hostel ”
This is second time for me to stay here, Location is good convenience to come to hostel and turn back to airport by A21 clean place , owner are very kind .
Good location and value for money”
The hotel has a very good location, right in the heart of the shopping area of Mongkok. It had good value for money as a budget hotel but it could have been cheaper considering that the room was very small for three people; the double bed for two was barely big enough for two persons. But probably, like anything else in Hong Kong, their space is quite limited. The staff was helpful but did not speak English, they could forward you though over the phone to an English-speaking person.
What i love most is the location which is about 3mins walking distance from the MongKok MTR (Take Exit D or E). But take note, you have to look for the Wing Wah building instead of the name of Fortune Hotel because this hostel is located inside this building. Also nearby are Ladies Market and Sneakers Street. As usual, rooms in HK are small but is quite ok for me being a solo traveler and most importantly it is clean. Rooms are not soundproof thus it can be quite noisy during the evening when the cleaners are talking while cleaning the rooms.
Cheak in 3:00 pm”
It's small but near mtr
The place is very strategic & near to restaurants, night market, bus & MTR stations”
It's room is small but clean and highly recommended for travelers that has limited budget. a walking distance to MTR Mongkok station and bus stops along Nathan Road. Highly recommended for group of 3 to 5 persons. By the way, hotel staff didn't speak English.
Perfect to be in the thick of a district that comes alive at night.”
It is small. It is clean. It is inexpensive. There is no pool. It is meant to provide a clean place to sleep at night, do not expect anything else and you will like it here. There is no room for chairs or a table. Nearby are great street sellers of everything from cooked food, cold desserts, trinkets, electrical things, clothes, bags, etc.
I stayed here for 4 night. The staffs are aunty and uncle who cant speak english but they are so nice and friendly. Good that i can speak Chinese so we understand each other easily. They clean the room and change towel everyday. The hotel is located in the center of Mongkok which is very near to subway, lady-market and shopping mall. Easy to find food even our stay is during typhoon time but still have some shop and some restaurant open. The room is tiny but all good for me. The water pressure is super good. I like this hotel will stay here next time
