Excellant and comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Food at restaurant is excellant, though staff sometimes are too quick to ask if you're done eating! Tour bookings depend on number of bookings but staff do recommend other operators if they are unable to arrange. Airport pickup/drop off is chargeable by hotel which i think should be offered free of charge esp if staying more than 3 nights. Location is outside of town but there are shuttle service which runs 3 times a day to town and falls.

Just a quick weekend away. And it was well worth it. Staff is super friendly and helpful. We had all the facilities to just enjoy and have a good rest.

Renovations in the Main Lodge in June”

The lodge is fairly attractive and is in a beautiful location. But there were two mistakes made during our stay. 1. Our airport transfer did not pick us up at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. They apologized and service recovery was satisfactory — We were invited to the sunset cruise. 2. Major renovations to the main outdoor dining area and a bridge to the other side of the property were being conducted. This caused major noise pollution throughout the main lodge. This was not communicated on either the hotel’s website or Agoda. When feedback was sent to Agoda, both failed to apologize for the issue.

Restaurant staff were somtimes a little slow off the mark, probably due to not picking up our foreign accents. Quicker than Tanzania, but still behind Kenya and Malawi.

Perfection on the Zambezi!”

You cant beat the location - plus with an infinity pool over looking the Zambezi river; it is supurb, and the sunsets are wonderful to see. The suites with an in room jacuzzi are terrific! This lodge was perfect in all ways: great food, stunning views, wonderful buffet breakfast spread, friendly and fun staff who were a joy to meet, and even an on site Activity office where you can book all your trips. A sun set river cruise on the Lady Livingstone boat which is docked in front of the hotel is also a must-do! The spa is also excellent and you can good a really strong and good massage to relax after all the day tripping. We stayed five nights here and our only problem was that we had to leave!

Pretty but boring”

Location is pretty enough on the river. Room was nice enough and comfortable bed. Breakfast was only satisfactory for the price. Nothing much to do at the property...the onsite sunset cruise was way overpriced. Only 3 shuttles trips per day to town or the falls....not nearly enough to be convenient. Can't say this hotel offered anything worth mentioning for the price.

The furniture is old and bad. The lighting is very bad and was distributed unequally. A lot of mosquitoes inside the room especially during night. The way the door of the terrace opening was not convenient. Bad T.V. quality and channels. The staff were friendly although the management made us book two rooms for 2 adults and 16 year old child instead of having an extra bed.

Great location, time and food”

I really can recommend this hotel forf couples, the pool is great and there are a lot activities what you can do. Only thing, some of the stuff doesn't speak English very well and from order to serving dinner you can wait easily one hour that you get the feeling that they forget you. Specially if you askafter a while how long it will take.

Enjoyable stay”

Enjoyable stay at David Livingstone Safari Lodge. Clean and comfortable. Good food. A little expensive than what may be available in Livingstone although resturants appear to be associated with hotels and resorts. But it is convenient and you save costs of taxis. Did not use on site activity tour centre as we had prebooked online but it did not look too welcoming when we looked in the door. Made use of the free shuttle service which we found efficient, reliable and flexible for our needs. Recommend the Livingstone Island tour. Rafting was also a great day's activity.

The location was superb. Great to have free shuttles to town and the falls. Lovely clean rooms all with a river view. Very good food at a reasonable price. Extremely friendly and helpful staff with a good sense of humour.

Amazing location, Great lodge”

Awesome location on the Zambezi river and because they are inside the game reserve you have wildlife to view including resident cheeky vervet monkeys, food was excellent. The bar staff didn't know what spirits they sold, but otherwise the service was very good.

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und bestens ausgestattet, Moskitonetz inklusive. Das Frühstücksbuffet außerordentlich gut, wie auch der Service. Das Personal ausgesprochen zuvorkommend und freundlich. Sehr guter Shuttleservice zu den Wasserfällen und in die Stadt. Eigenes Boot für eine "sunset cruise". Der Blick auf den Fluss verschönert Frühstück und weitere Essen.
