Hotel calme mais un peu loin du centre historique”

L'hôtel et la chambre étaient agréables. Seul regret : l'éloignement: certe nous faisons quelques économies en séjournant à cet hôtel, mais prendre un tuc tuc de la gare routière à l'hôtel rattrape l'économie faite.. D'autre part l'hôtel est à 3 km du centre historique: heureusement que la gérante à eu la gentillesse de nous préter des vélos. Mis à part l'éloignement, l'hotel est tres au calme et le personnel irréprochable et attentif

joli et agréable, un peu désert en semaine mais rempli le week-end. confortable mais on entend tout de la chambre voisine. le personnel est gentil. loin de new sukhothai et aussi de old sukhothai. il faut chaque fois que l'on souhaite aller quelque part faire appel à la patrone de l'hôtel.

Great place, great staff”

The resort is about 5km from the old Shukhotai City. It can be best approached by a scooter or a bike since in our experience, taxi service was quite rare in the area. The resort is new, there is still some construction going on, but nothing that would disturb your stay. The owners are extremely nice, always give a little "extra" to make your stay pleasant. The rooms are were nice and big, very clean, furnished with great taste. I highly recommend it.

Recommend peaceful area”

Nice peaceful location, slightly out of town five minutes drive so transport essential. Comfortable very clean room. Pleasant helpful staff. Excellent air conditioning. Good wifi. Very nice variety buffet breakfast and refreshments.

Enjoyable stay while visiting the historical park”

We had an incredible stay in this hotel and wished we stayed longer. We were meet at the resort by my sister in Law, the staff contacted her before and advised how much she should pay for taxi. Every one in the trip enjoyed this hotel extensively.

Nice hotel and very decent room”

Do not be fooled by the information that the hotel is within the historical park, it is indeed about 6 Km from there, as most of the hotels in Sukhothai. So do not forget to rent a scooter or a bicycle. The room is of the motel type, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast is great if you come early, later you may have to "order" the dishes instead of helping yourself - the whole difference between a breakfast that allow you to walk all day long and have a dinner, and the one which fills your stomach until lunch. All in all a very recommendable low price hotel.

Very clean rooms”

We had trouble checking in. There was no one any where near the room that passed for reception. Two phone numbers were posted on a sign by the door and called both with no answer. Had we not already made and paid for our reservation, we would have left. Finally found a maid who got us squared away and the check in formalities were done just outside of one of our two rooms. There was what was called a mini-mart with a sign that said open but the door was locked and there was nobody inside at any time during our stay. Everything was quite new but the management did not seem ready to do business. They had some meeting rooms and that seemed to be the focus of the business. Although called a resort, it was not as it had no facilities like a working coffee shop, pool, etc. That said, breakfast was okay but poorly organized - a buffet with no real choices. The food was acceptable. Our stay was satisfactory but would not stay again.

It's a decent place”

this place is an ok option in sukhothai. it's clean, has a good breakfast and dinner, and a reasonable atmosphere. the let down is that the pictures would make you believe that you're going to a resort-type place with gardens, but in reality, they have incandecent light bulbs and lots of cement. the harsh lighting sort of ruined the atmoshpere from my point of view, but some people aren't bothered by this kind of thing. i think the value is ok, the beds are ok, and the cleanliness is fine. it's not a memorable place, but it's certainly not bad either.

A bit far from old city”

I booked this hotel according to the map, as shown in Agoda. It should be ~2 km from old city but turn out to be ~ 5 km. Correction in the map is needed. By bike, it takes 35 min. The room is clean but poor ventilation. You are uncomfortable if turn off the air conditioner. The environment and decorations are very good. Small hotel with friendly and helpful staff.

Hotel far away from Sukhothai Historical Park.”

We book this hotel in case of problems with avialability in dates of Loi Krathong festival from 10.11.11 till 11.11.11. We pay and I think this too mich for this hotell. Hotel is ok, but orice is too much. We wait for much more. Location - about 3,5 km from Historical Park. We reach this great museum on open air by bicycles, that we rent in hotel. Very funny.

Great hotel and staff”

We arrived at the hotel at 9pm and the staff was great. They even opened up the kitchen for us because we were hungry and whipped up some pretty delicious food. However, they do have an ant and insect problem. First hotel room they provided us was in front of an ant hill. I stood in it by accident and management immediately made up another room for us that was on second floor. However, we found ants in the bed (around 5-6 ants were flicked off)and there are spiders in the bathroom. Since we arrived so late, we had no where else to go. Needless to say, barely slept. The second night, it was a little better. Seemed to be less ants. But I was attacked by mosquitoes during the night. Despite the friendly and accommodating staff, I couldn't wait to check out. Note on the bathrooms, there isn't a separate shower. There is a shower curtain that divides the toilet and sink. The drain is behind the toilet. It is actually quite far from the historical park, but a scooter rental is only $200 baht for a full day.

Nice quiet place well out of downtown”

Baan Mo is a nice quiet hotel with friendly staff and good food. We were there during the flood downtown in the off season, and even though we were about the only ones there, the staff treated us royally with food delivered to the table outside our room and they were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The only drawbacks are that the hotel is about 6 km west of the centre of the old city and their sign is only in Thai (although they are renovating and adding a large addition and assured me that a new sign is forthcoming). Also, it's called a resort, but there is no pool.

Friendly Welcome”

The small hotel is a family operation. We found modern clean rooms with all necessary amenities. The owner (by the way, she is a nurse and her husband is a doctor - " Ban Mo" means Doctor's House in Thai) and her staff maintain a high level of service. The Thai dinner was delicious, the western breakfast basic but good. In the hallway, there is an unlocked big fridge full with beverages - the managements trust their guests. The wonderful sites of Sukhothai are nearby.

Location is little bit far, but optimal for me, because my friend live very near. Good big room and almost new building.
