Baan Tai Had Resort”
Stay here for 2 nights but happy not book more nights. Nobody speaks english and at reception they even couldn't help us with getting a taxi. At nighttime first night around 4:30 am we were waked up by a nearby temple making noise. Second night around 06:00 am and it didn't stop for 2 or more hours.
Far away from Amphawa MKT. Good place for seminar”
Good view close and located along with river. But far away from amphawa market. No free boat service to the floating market. The hotel facility is goid for company meeting or group seminar. Quiet and peace. You can make noise all night. Don't worry to bother neighbor.
Peaceful but far away”
We arrived there through a long curve road... but then we realized that there is a through brand new bridge - still not found in our gps! - which made it much easier arriving and moving around (ask the front desk). Once there, the place is really calm and relaxing, being the only hotel arounc with swimmingpool! There is a private harbour that you can use to hire a boat and go to the nearby floating market without needing to drive and try to park.
Private and peacful Hotel”
(a) the hotel is so provate and so peaceful (b) good service (c) it's good place to relax (d) room cleanliness is fair (e) instant water heater does not work (f) the wifi signal in the room is quite poor (g) it's quite far from amphawa floating market - we can't go there by walk (h) the hotel is quite difficult to find.
Must consider before booking”
I came back from the temple around 2 a.m. on 1-1-17 but I cant use any keycard!!! What the hotel!! It s not easy to find staff at that time...breakfast is too expensive for a kid who eat only 2 pieces of sliced bread for 200 THB.
Great stay, hard to find.”
Very hard to find this hotel. Google maps lists 3 hotels in Ampawa with the same name (2 of them don't exist) I suggest you call the hotel and ask for directions before you leave to avoid stress. Excellent staff, very helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we were happy and enjoyed our trip.
Not pleasant ”
Very hard to find the resort, no sign from the main road, google map took me to the wrong location. Bathroom wall was very dirty , got mole on it feel so disgusting. Breakfast was absolutely crap. Other areas were nice, staff were friendly.
We stayed 2 nights, rooms were clean except for the walls in the shower, had not been cleaned in a long time, this is a common problem in Thailand. Breakfast was absolutely crap, but had not expected anything else, we also had lunch one time and that was so so. Swimming pool and the sounding area was spotless. The rooms and the garden was so quiet, in the evening we could not here a single car. We booked boat thru the hotel and had the same boat for two days, excellent service there.
Front service is very good, however, if you stay at the same time with any tourist group, the restaurant staff will not pay attention to you. Only few menus in breakfast service. Nice Pool with a good view.
Large rooms with river view”
On the whole it was satisfactory and pleasant however I had a problem due to the rooms having a rather strong smell of insecticide. It became more aparent during the night since I had to keep the bedroom windows/sliding door closed due to lack of mosquito screens. The adjoining living room had two of its windows screened so I ended up sleeping on the floor instead and could breathe fresh air. This mightbe a problem to asthma sufferers like me. Apart from this the pillows that were too large and high only causing strain on the neck. These were the only two things which bothered me.
Really bad staff service !”
Not recommend to stay this place at all. This report is alive by group tour/seminar, no revisit customers. I have very bad impression with this report. I've called them 3 times, every time is bad. During , I was there most staffs are unfriendly , unprofessional and bad attitude. They really need training !! I need to attend seminar and arrive there in the morning with my 3-month baby & family. Therefore, I called to check if they can allow early checkin. Staff just say no and tell me that no room available. Im trying to tell them that I have booked my room. They dont ask me at all whether I have booked my room or not. When I get there, most staff are so passive and unwelcoming. no one pick up the phone on room service. I have to walk to call them and found that they are was chatting and ignore phone ring. Lot of unimpressive experience here. I definitely not come back again.
Nice place, but pretty isolated.”
Our situation was a bit unique, as we arrived in town after dark on bike after a long ride. We called the hotel and they immediately came to pick us up, which was very nice of them. Lucky for us too, as we never would have found it on our own - the Google Map of the area uses older data that omits a huge bridge to the area the hotel is located in. Anyway, the guy in charge was very helpful and nice; the staff were about average for Thailand. Nice setting right on the river, very quiet and seemed almost deserted when we were there.
Nice room and nice location but very hard to find.”
It would be a nice resort to come with a group of friends. The place is nice though it lacks a bit of soul if you come on your own. It's quite big and looks like it's catering for tours and big groups rather than individual families. You sure need your own car since it's in the middle of nowhere. And it's rather difficult to find. We had a pleasant stay but I'm not quite sure I would want to go back.
Fair if you run out of other options”
We were looking for a place near the Amphawa floating market & Mae Klong Train Market. From this perspective, it resides on the other side of the river. Roads in this area are poorly maintained. We had troubles finding our way and there was no phone response from the reception in the evening to help us. Room maintenance needs some improvements. Yet the place was clean. The resort itself seems nice (not the neighborhood...) Reasonable value for the money.
Very pretty but hopeless when out of season ”
The resort itself was lovely but with no other people in evidence and non of the staff speaking English we checked out after the first night . Being in such a remote area and with no immediate means of transport we found ourselves with nothing to do or see. Even the restaurant was not open other that for breakfast . I,m sure it would be great in the summer season and if you speak fluent Thai but otherwise not so good
old haunted hotel”
Old rundown hotel with small rooms but a nice view of the River. It's peaceful and random. Could do with a clean up.
In the middle of nowhere - but worth visiting ”
quiet hotel with a ot of space”
Rooms are basic but ok. very large garden. direct access to the river and 20 min boat ride from the floating market: perfect location.
Empty no guess no restaurant open during week ”
