Value For Money”

We stayed in a room with twin beds and an ensuite. It also had a fridge. It was very noisy with people screaming in next room for our entire stay of 6 nights and people above us stomping on the floor. When we arrived the smell in our room was dreadful. Very musty and the smell never went away. We went to have a Spa in hot tub but it was quite dirty with hair and leaves and other stuff. Apart from that we would give it 8/10. The kitchen was very clean and other facilities good.

Centre of operations”

The location of this place is great, right in the heart of the town. I was disappointed by the size of the bed, possibly the smallest double I have ever slept in in my life. Good job my partner wasn't there. Great bathroom and shower ensuite though. The shared kitchen was a good size but lacked hobs and sinks for the amount of guest in the place. Outside there were good areas for sitting and reading etc, and a generally pleasant atmosphere, not too many on their laptops which I have experienced in other backpackers. Overall all fine for a a couple of nights stay in the Bay of Islands. My advice would be to bring earplugs as the Fire station next door can be incredibly noisy early in the morning.

Everything was nice and clean! Super close to the beach and supermarket and KIWI Experience pick up/drop off (Wharf). They have a hottub and cheap bicycle and kayak rent. Nice balcony where you can chill in the sun. Just a very relaxed place in general.

A nice hostel. The kayak rental was great ($5). Hammocks and outdoor area was also good.

Nice cozy room with a spacious front porch, beautiful view across Paihia & the bay if islands. Super friendly & fun owners. 5min walking distance to Paihia "downtown" (restaurants, cafes, shops etc.) & the wharf. We did enjoy our stay & would highly recommend this place. Cheers & thanks again

Smells ”

Good location but the place was messy. Our room smelled really bad. We left as early as possible.

It is too early for checking out ”

The time for check out is too early which is 10:00 and the fan in bathroom is very nosiy. You can not sleep when the fan is acted neither your room or neighbor sits.
