Chumphon palace hotel”
Rien a redire de cette hôtel propreté, personnel tout est parfait même le petit déjeuné
Bien pour une nuit en transfert ”
Étape de transfert. Hôtel simple mais tout à fait correct
Just over 10 minutes walk from the train station. A good budget hotel. There's a fridge......”
Just over 10 minutes walk from the train station. A good budget hotel. There's a fridge in the room. The shower has warm water rather than hot. there's 2 free bottles of water. There's free coffee in the foyer. The aircon is old style which does the job but works slowly. There are no power sockets next to the bed. It's quiet and I got a good nights sleep. Friendly check in staff printed off my train ticket for me.
Old and Tired. This hotel has given up.”
AC took about an hour to cool room to somewhere near comfortable. Shower water took about fifteen minutes to run hot/warm. But the bed bugs...I almost left the hotel at 2am to sleep in my car. There must be better places.
Old hotel but nice”
I stayed 3 nights in the standard room . Nice big clean room with a/c (it is old last century air condition works only like a fan ( ventilator ) not depends what coldness temperature you set ), TV, fridge, 2 bottles of water are free every day, hot water, the bathroom amenities ( soap and are in the dispenser near shower ). Shower head is horrible- it is green color and rusty. Comfortable bed and pillows. 2 comfortable chairs and small table. Convenient location in the depth of the main busy and dusty street therefore there is quiet in the rooms. Walking distance to songtaews stops ( to Thung Wua Laen beach, to Sai Ri beach) , markets, 7/11, Family Mart and Big 1 store. Ocean Shopping Mall 7 minutes by walk. The staff very helpfulness and friendliness and try to execute everything the guests needs.
Not bad for a night or two”
Not a bad hotel right in centre of town, handy for access to railway. Rooms and hotel slightly dated and majority Thai guests, but pretty good hotel with comfortable beds. Just beware if walking to hotel from Railway, there's no English signage on Hotel. Good WiFi and an inclusive breakfast.
. This was a fuctional hotel and overall value. The hotel sign was in thai so you could possibly miss the hotel. The rooms were large and clean. The water was luke warm and the tv remote did not work fully. However, to me they were only little things. The hotel was very quiet and nicely located. I would recommend this hotel.
Area near Market and closely which train station ”
This place was good, quiet and we slept well even if it's a little bit outdated. The staff was really fabulous with us !
Bed for night”
Old hotel ok if you need bed and shower,
Good budget hotel in good location”
Very close to busses fir beach and night and day marketx
Very old and rusty - both in looks and services”
Some girls at reception speak english well, some do not - but helpful anyways. Hotel feels old and rusty. Rooms are rather small. There were metal clips on floor, carpet was dirty and burnt from cigarettes. Bathroom was OK, only shower sink needed to be dismantled to let water flow out. Breakfast was disappointing, some thai food variations (not tasty lookong), tasteless sausages and rubber-like eggs. Everything saved toast bread and orange jam (the only option). No tee, only coffee or lemonade. Overall I wouldn't call this place a hotel, more like hostel. Definitely not 3*, maybe some 20+ years back.
old worn out hotel”
we were driving from koh samui and needed a place to rest for the night. extremely hard to find, another hotel did a map for us after we had driven around for an hour. its an old tatty hotel in need of refurbishment. breakfast awful not even a slice of toast, just congee or boiled noodles, ok for chinese people. room was clean and bed comfortable.good parking for vehicle.
Not serviceminded at all...”
I arrived late and was met by the most no-service-orientated receptionist I have ever met. She just answered "No" to all my questions: Could I get some thing to drink, eat, could she help me find the right transport to the harbor the next day etc. The room was okay, nothing special. So was the rest of the hotel.. Chumhon is a major cross-point for people going to Koh Tao, and they could do so much better by hiring a receptionist, that doesn't just stare at you and answer no.... to any thing... By the way... Koh Tao was fantastic
the grand ,granite clad lobby was where the positives stopped.the room was a bit grubby but ok for the price.the shower curtain was a shock-blimey how much do new ones cost? the breakfast was strictly for the locals-i could find nothing edible -no real tea coffee not even fruit. none of this would have mattered too much but the real negative was the smoking...every floor had a lounge section with large ashtrays brimming over with butts most of the time-groups of men gathered in the lobby filling more ash trays-the rooms smelt of cigerettes-there was not a no smoking sign anywhere. for a dedicated smoker without much money this place is ok otherwise....
nothing at all”
hai the hotel is old and smale old but chumpon garden hotel who have the same owner its much better in everithink.abaout the pavilion hotel i patunam it is a fantasting hotel in everithing i will recomendet to anybary too much vaslue for this money.
A nice place to stay”
stayed here when going to ko tao and when coming back. probably not the cheapest option in town but seemed to be of good value. nice big room with ac and wifi. bathroom was ok and the bed was comfy. clean. staff was helpful even though they were struggling with english... check for boat tickets at the reception. within walking distance of the mall. 7-11 just around the corner. nice food vendors by the street across the mall.
Not a Palace at all!!!”
this hotel is very old and well over due a refurbishment or demolition!!! yes it only cost us and for we wanted it did the job - a bed for a few hours while we waited to be picked up by the lomprayah ferry company.
