Proche de la nature”

Dans un cadre rétro et splendide, on se sent une âme d'aventurier. La petite hutte rappelle les temps anciens mais à l'intérieur il y a tout le confort et la chaleur nécessaire grâce au gros poêle à gaz. Elle est entièrement équipée pour cuisiner (gazinière, four, ustensiles de cuisine,...). A l'extérieur, les oiseaux et les kangourous viennent vous rendre visite jusque sur votre terrasse ! Un vrai bonheur !

Amazing”

Best experience from the location directly across the road from the visitor centre, where the bus leaves to take you into the national park to the cleanliness of the cabin and the friendly staff. Loved everything about our stay. Would definitely look to rebook again for another time

What a romantic little gem! ”

We loved staying here. It was so gorgeous in the snow. A comfy tall bed and a massive wood fired stove in the middle of winter was a treat at the end of a day of hiking. A special place close to the visitor centre and the busses to Cradle Mountain. Loved it!

Superbe”

Very nice, clean and warm. I stayed in the Bushman’s hut - the smallest of the cabins but it was plenty big enough for one! Thanks

Love it”

Stayed here before and will stay again. Log cabin, wilderness feel, great location, staff were great, even though there are a quite a few cabins they are very private. The ones we've had have everything you need and very comfortable, the fire is very welcome in cool conditions. Very nice place and lay out.

It’s just great”

We’ve stayed before and if you love the rustic log cabin in the woods feel, you’ll love Highlanders. Great location, staff great, cabins are secluded from each other and the ones I’ve had have everything you need. Comfy bed, fire, cooking facilities and plenty of hot water. It gets cool, but that’s what your there for - the snow and wilderness - it beautiful.

Cosy wood fire in the mountains ”

Cosy wel located place . Had Woodford and was warm and cosy loved it !

Fantastic!”

Location is good, just opposite the Visitor Centre for the shuttle and cafe. Cottage is clean and tidy with adequate kitchen equipment and utensils.

Cosy and Comfortable!”

The cottage was extremely warm and toasty with the wood fire heater. The cabin style accommodation really added to the feeling of being amongst the cradle mountain wilderness.. Staff were really friendly. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Private and rustic”

Loved being tucked away in our private spot in the trees. Plenty of firewood provided, allowing us to be cosy and warm in the cold nights. A rustic cabin but comfortable and close to all we wanted to experience.

Really ideal location ”

Very close to the visitor centre so this was a massive bonus if you are going on the hikes. Nearby also are many places to eat. The room we had had a neat little fireplace which warmed us up nicely. The room had everything we needed and was clean. I didn’t bother pulling out the sofa bed, it was fine just laying a blanket on it. Many windows also to let air out if needed. It was a pretty relaxing place to stay at and I would come back again.

A perfect cabin in the mountains”

The visitor centre is a walk away and the staff were so accomodating allowing us to check in late and leave early. We loved the little fireplace that was fully stocked with everything you need and the lovely provided toiletries made for a great experience. We loved the ability to cook our own food! We wish we had of stayed longer!

Lovely, quaint, Alpine retreat”

We spent two nights in this fabulous alpine retreat. We checked in on time and were directed to cottage 'Wombat'. It was wonderful. Spacious and clean it had all the niceties of home but set in the Cradle Mountain bush. We made good use of the wood burning stove to keep us snug and warm. Would highly recommend.

Peaceful in the Mountains”

What a beautiful place to relax in peace and quiet with a log fire. Never received a courtesy email or phone call to inform us of no restaurant or bar on-site, so make sure you take your own food and drink.

No Complaint!”

We have no complaint with our stay. We stayed a night in the Cabin. The receptionist was very helpful in assisting us to sort out alternative plans for the day (as there are disruptions to the Dove Lake bus service). What came to our surprise was that the fireplace was turned on, the cabin was warmed and cozy! What better than this on a cold afternoon. The cabin was very clean, the kitchen was well equipped and the view to the bush was fabulous. Will definitely recommend this place to stay.
