Got a free drinking water when I checked in which is really appreciated since I came there during my last days in Tokyo before I depart. Ideal location since it's near Ueno station and most subway stations which is great for those who avail rail passes. Room is ok though for once It felt like I had no room to open my huge luggage anywhere but the bed. Mine doesn't have a closet which would be helpful if was staying there for long to store jackets and shoes otherwise not much for one day stays. Uses keys instead of smart cards and I have to leave them every time I leave the hotel which often get it confused with me checking out. Staff knows a bit of English so explaining stuff might take a while especially with issues with my room which I didn't have apart from turning on the TV but with getting your room key it helps if you know a bit of Japanese at least with your room number.

2 night stay at hotel new ueno ”
For me this hotel was perfectly situated, as ueno station functions as a public transport hub and travelling to, from and around Tokyo was made quite easy due to this. The staff was very friendly, helpfull and attentive. The pricing fair. The only bit of negative feedback would be that in my room (512) at night there was a audible ticking sound that ocurred often at night wich kept me from sleeping at times. It sound ed as if this sound originated from drainage/piping systeem in the building. All in all I enjoyed my stay in hotel new ueno and would recommend if you need a decent place to stash your belongings and plan on explore Tokyo

Its very close to Metro which connects you to everywhere. The room has some space to pack up your stuff. But it always smell like cigarette all the time, if you don't like it consider looking for other place

Basic Japanese budget hotel”
Just around the corner from the Asakusa Exit of Ueno Station, this budget hotel has all the comforts for a short-term guest. Maybe ask for a room in the newer wing, as the rooms in the original building could use some upgrading. Still, although the room was tiny, the bed was firm, the heating was adequate, and amenities were sufficient. Good choice for a traveler on a budget.

The hotel located in a perfect location, just 2-5 minutes from JR stations, and Ameyoko Market. The hotel surrounded with restaurants and shopping areas. And also near to UENO park and Skyliner. Staffs are nice and friendly. In rainy days, hotel has free umbrella for guest. Highly recommended.

New Euno hotel is just infront of Euno train station. So accessible. Restaurants and stores is just walking distance. Hotel is quite old, but its clean.
