I was in the area for business. One of the lights in my room was not functional and the ventilation noise from the bathroom was quite loud. Upon request, I was given another room. Overall, it wasn't a bad stay.

Home from Home! Amazing! ”

After a very stressful few days which involved a break in at our previous accommodation we arrived at Knysna Country House a little frazzled. We were greeted by a charming woman who instantly made us feel at home, we didn’t mention anything to her about our concerns about the security but it was one of the first things she mentioned and she completely put our minds at ease- she had no idea how much this meant to us! She also went above and beyond and booked us a table at a near by restaurant. The room was very luxurious and the views from the room were incredible. We loved our stay at this charming hotel and next time we are back in the area we will be sure to return. I would highly recommend a stay in this hotel!

You need to drive to have dinner”

This is a pleasant B&B with friendly staff. The location is away from town so it is essential to use a car when going out for dinner. Rooms were spacious comfortable and clean. Breakfast had a good selection and staff were on hand, friendly and accommodating for requests.

The couple running it were lovely and welcoming and the pool area was really nice. We were only there for 1 night so did not explore Knysna as much as we'd have liked. The furnishings and decor were pretty dated and looked quite old. The house was located in a nice area.

We had the best stay here. The breakfast they prepared is amazing and the restaurants in town are also very good. The rooms were comfy and spacious. Fantastic bathrooms and the pool is huge! Super secure location and the owners are very friendly!

Fabulous place to stay”

We did have a minor problem as the room we expected to be in was already occupied. After a nights stay in the Family Unit by the pool,we were offered the Garden Cottage which was excellent. Most people comment on the choices and quality of the breakfast and we totally agree . . a lovely way to start the day.We also tried the Braii twice & can reccomend this as well. Our hosts could not have been more helpful. We had left valuables in the safe at our previous accommodation & both Erik & Kate(the admin assistant)did all they could to make sure we got them back before we left S.A. Because of their persistance we just made it... Thank you!

arrived 1 day early but owner was happy to accommodate us. the house is very clean and relaxing, with a lovely pool to keep cool. breakfast was always fresh and enjoyable especially when out in the sun. cant fault this place and hopefully will stay again.

Very Welcoming”

Our hosts Eric and Ypie were very welcoming and Went out of there way to ensure that our short stay in Knynsa was filled with great activities and they recommended several restaurants that we used. Our standard room was spacious however would upgrade if we stayed again so we were overlooking the swimming pool.

Great guesthouse, disappointing room!”

We stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting Knysna, on our trip around SA. On arrival we received a warm welcome. The guesthouse is located 10mins drive outside of the main town of Knysna, in a peaceful location near the heads, with spectacular views across Knysna, down to the water. There is a cosy, modern lounge and outdoor decking area, with beautiful pool. Then we reach our room... whilst spotlessly clean, the room was dated and tired. Not the most welcoming environment. The vertical blinds had slats missing and the bathroom was in need of a refurb. Still it had the obligatory safe, television and hair dryer though this didn't work. It was fine for our short stay! Breakfast was good with a fab selection of hot and cold options. All the while with access to our hosts wealth of local knowledge about where to go and what to do! Great walks in the area, and lovely restaurants at the waterfront.

directions to the facility were slightly confusing- to me as a local s/african. my consern would be for a foreigner travelling /touring by car to find the country house.all bookings to have a map to the location attached? facility itself is quite nica/comfortable and it was a pleasant stay.

Beautiful guesthouse”

We were welcomed by Ypie and Eric and shown to our lovely chalet by the pool. We experiencved the heighth of comfort and enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Cabañas muy acogedoras en torno a una piscina. Desayuno muy completo. Altamente recomendable en temporeada alta. En temporada baja faltaba un poco de aseo por falta de uso.
