This is worst guesthouse i ever been”
It's hard to find the guesthouse because there is no sign and there is no reception so i waist time more than 2 hours to look for someone who work there The girl who work in next hotel told me, u have to go Chili restaurant which is 400m away from the guesthouse So i waist about 3 hours to check in.. So good luck with that
Pretty expensive for a backpacker, and you barely get what you pay for. Bed was really comfy and patio was nice to have, but that was about it
Clean, great location, friendly staff”
The place looks a bit dodgy from the Main Street however once inside it is clean and spacious. The room was clean every 2nd day. Con: the stray dogs were a tiny problem especially late at night coming home. No toiletries
bugs... but then it got better”
we had a hard time writing this review. When we first arrived the gentleman doing check in did not speak english. He led us to what must have been the oldest room in the building. We spied 2 spiders and 5 cockroaches right off the bat. After killing them we asked to be switched. our new room was pleasantly bug free. It was small but good! Its about a 10 minute walk to the quieter beach where no one is.
Clean nice room, location bit away from busy street, more motel like!”
Room cleaned every day well and get new towels and new bottles of water every day also. Fridge in room is nice, airco works very well. It's location is between some locals but nice and friendly people. No hotel feeling but feels very comfortable. Shower lacks a bit of power, but thats all.
The guest house wasn't too far away from the pier, easily accessible too. The room was clean and tidy, air con was good too. The only slight problem was the shower facilities. The water coming out from the shower head is pretty slow. Overall it was still a great experience.
Meets all Basics”
Very comfortable and meets all basic needs: air conditioning, clean, spacious, comfortable and close to many restaurant options. Only a 10 minute walk to Had Sai Keow beach too!
clean & quiet parking bike @terrace ok
A room not a guest house”
This is not a guest house but a few rooms on a new development still under construction. No hotel services at all. It's so new no one knew of it, although there is a sign on the main road. Google maps was spot on though. It's only a 5 minute walk from the boat port and a further 5 minutes to the beach.Quietly situated off the main drag. Plenty of shops, restaurants very close. We booked 2 rooms and were offered one behind the other, the back room had no external window, so no natural light at all, only on to the corridor. We complained and were found a better one. This discrepancy should be made clear on Agoda because this makes 2 room types( although internally they are exactly the same) and the back one should be cheaper in my view. There was no obvious person around to let us in, but when found he was fine but spoke no English. The neighbouring rooms were privately owned and occupied.A kettle and cups and spoons would be a good touch. The neighbour kindly gave me a coffee each morning! Overall though for the price this is pleasant enough, was new, clean and cleaned each day wth clean bed linen. would book again.
La Bella Guesthouse has defenitely exceeded our expectations. The value for money was really good which made us think the quality of the hotel would be low. However, the quality was very high. The location is just 5 minutes walk to the beach and some very good streetfood is closeby the hotel. Every hotel room has its own private terrace in front which is a really nice place to socialize at the end of your day. We had some issues with the lock of our bathroom door and the owner resolved this issue at 2am at night ! We really appreciated this since normally you have to wait until the next morning. The wifi connection is just good enough. However, why do you need wifi when you are on Koh Samet. We highly recommend this place !
Worth the money we paid. Although staff doesn't speak that much English, they were so friendly, willing to help you out. Need to pay a 500 Baht for key deposit, when you check out they'll give it back to you. It doesn't has that much public areas, Wifi signal was not that good, outside the room you'll encounter a lot of mosquitos, so do not leave your room's door open. But the room was clean and comfortable, nice neighborhood, it's located in between the town and the beach, which is great. To get to our room we needed to walk over kind of a hill, however, everyone enjoyed the trip.
it was great
For price best deal on Koh Samed”
The gentleman that ran La Belle Guesthouse was the most accomdating person. He helped us in any situation we had plus he had friends throughout island that he sent us to that would also help us out.Rooms are clean and the price was right. Right in heart of Samed City(not a city more like quaint market place) with some beach shops and bars. Again for the price La Belle was the place to stay. I rated restaurant but there is no restaurant at La Belle but there is 1 only a half a block away on left. My opinion is it was a 5
It was ok”
The location is good enough, only a 5 min walk to the beach or the pier. Though we arrived around 5 pm for our stay the room was not yet cleaned and not ready. Wifi is terrible and the TV in my room didn't work but my bed was soft. There were some really nice Swedish men staying there for a few months and they made the stay more bearable. I wouldn't really recommend it for people who are looking for anything other than a place to stumble home to after a day/night on the beach.
Friendly and better than expected!”
very nice ”
I had good time and enjoyed the room
Good guest house”
Really enjoyed it, basic but definitely ticked the boxes we needed. The bed was comfy clean sheets, the room was cleaned on the 3rd day. The man cannot speak any english and you must leave a key deposit of 500 bath, dont lose the ticket he gives you either because we nearly didnt get the deposit back as I lost it. Would stay there again. No reception area or dining , great location near everything.
Thai language only ”
Just for one night, don't expect anything, the staff doesn't understand English , hard to communicate, poor wifi connection
