Très bon emplacement mais chambre peu confortable au prix bien élevé au regard de la prestation.
Full of character in a perfect location ”
We were in Chiang Khan for the 10k run so had booked well in advance. Location is perfect right on walking street and although no parking on site it is available at the temple about 100m away. The place is chock full of character from the downstairs bar to the upstairs lounge and balcony overlooking walking street to the shower rooms which if it was raining would provide a shower anyway. The only negatives I could say is that shared bathroom facilities are not to everyone’s taste and the mattress was a little on the firm side. Overall though we spent 3 days there arriving as guests and leaving as friends. Highly recommended
Make yourself at home”
We arrived almost 1pm on the check-in date and needed to find one extra room to fit another 2 persons. Unlucky, most of the hostel in Chiangkhan already fully booked bcoz of the weekend then the hostel owner "Dong & Nim" offered us to pack all of us in their room by put just one extra mattress into our room. Finally, we got 3 of us on their 5" bed and 1 on the extra mattress amazingly!!! They treat us & every guests like one of their friends & family, I also love the way they live their life thru the art & smell of coffee in the air, you should better try this place. I will of course revisit this place and say Sawasdee to them both & Nong Yim+ the lazy dog 🐶
Easy does it at Mae Nam Mee Kang”
My stay at Mae Nam Mee Kang was just great. Upon arrival the owners personally helped us unload our car and then directed us to free (be sure to leave a little baht for the temple) and safe parking. Staying at the guesthouse is a lot like visiting old friends, every moment is warm, your needs are taken care of and after a long day of sightseeing you are welcomed back with a smile. Luckily for me I was with my Thai girlfriend which made communication easier, but with these wonderful folks I am sure that finding common ground is very doable. The guesthouse itself is one of the most uniquely designed I have ever seen. I particularly enjoyed the shared, but private shower and the communal room with its wood planked floors made me forget which decade I lived in. The room had no AC (none do), but the big windows and powerful ceiling fan cooled the room off perfectly without that annoying frigidness that comes with AC. As for Chiangkhan itself, and I am saying this at the end of a one year stay in Thailand, it is by far the most laidback, friendly and inviting town I have visited in this country full of wonderful places. I urge you to add a couple extra days and just hang out, I wish we had. Will be back again for sure.
This is for students and back packers but very pleasant to stay definitely something different the staff very nice and has very good bar
Old school charm!!”
Loved our stay there. Housekeeping lady was so kind and lovely. She made us feel like home away from home. Room was tidy and clean. Share facilities were also well maintained. We had a great time sitting on the balcony watching the world goes by.
Good place to relax even with family of 3. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Nice decoration with a little hint of Hippy-like place. The room itself is nothing to brag about and just a tiny bit above your typical guesthouse, however, the common area upstairs has the shared porch/balcony is a good place to have beers and overlooking the walking street on the weekends. Not a bad place to hangout.
Feel like being in your own vintage home”
If you don't mind not having in-room toilet, and you also want to get a feeling of being in real old Chiangkhan, this guesthouse suits you. The shared bathroom though is cleaner than I expected a lot. This price isn't included breakfast. But you can easily find traditional breakfast there along the walking street anyway, which I considered it was more fun. Two owners of the guesthouse are super friendly. They will make you feel like home rightafter you get there. They got sense of humour and they are very helpful. Speaking of the room, there are no air-cons, but the fan is also enough for the morning and at night. I would really recommend this guesthouse. Ps. Seeing sunset on the boat in Mekong river is so good, I recommend it!
nice and cozy”
1 night doesn't enough for me. I want to stay there more . This accommodation was very nice ,very cute and feel like home.I got warm welcome and got many information about Chiangkhan from couple owner until I left. I recommend this place for other travellers to stay here
Perfect warm Place”
We had a very great time there. My BF got an accident there and the owner were very kind to us and take a very good care for us. We really appreciated. The room was very clean and the atmosphere was very good. They also have a nice coffee shop and a little gallery downstairs. Also they cordially answer and explain us for every question. I can not say that This is the best place in ChiangKhan but I only know that When I think about ChiangKhan,Mae Nam Mee Kang gnna always be the only place we think about.
Relaxing, staff friendly”
Good location. Value for money.
Nice and very clean”
So detailed in decoration you can take photos in every spots in this place.
Very friendly owner. Good location”
Owners are very attentive. The location is along the walking street. Parking at the temple not so far away. The room is good for the rate you we paid though.
Best place ”
Small hotel in the center of Chiangkan, great location. Small room but comfortable. Very nice people are all around.
Good location. Reasonable price. ”
Located in the walking street which is very comfortable to find the food. Beware of steep ladder. You need to climb to 2nd floors. Lovely decoration.
Nice balcony and nice staff !! ”
This guesthouse is located on the main street of Chiang Khan. The interior is very pretty. The room is pretty old but the bed lines was very cleand and slept comfortably. I likes the balcony overlooking the main street. The staffs are very helpful and when I needed the information of how to get to Pak Chom and leaned that there is no public transportation, the staff asked their friend to give me a ride to Pak Chom. The interior of the gueshouse is very pretty. One thing I didn't like was that the bathroom was outside of the building and when it rained and the floor was all wet, in the morning, it was very uncomfortable to get to the bathroom. The cafe in the ground floor seemed very nice, too.
The owner so friendly but at noon in room very hot! so if you want to go to Chieang Kan you must gone in Cold season :) Around hotel at night very nice!!
Art hotel, Cozy place like stay at friend home.”
This is small hotel but full of happiness when we stayed there. Nice design and bathroom as open air. Even the room was small but comfortable. Location is great. We will be back again in next chance.
