i will totally recommend mimaru tokyo ueno north. train stations are a walking distance. ”
There are alot of small restos around and just 12 mins. walk the ueno park adn zoo is already there. ameyoko also is near ueno park. good food. different varieties. Gkyukatsu motomura resto in ameyoko is a must try resto. small resto though but superb meat!!! I will surely go back to JAPAN and try some other mimaru tokyo hotel branches! the people are so nice and respectful. i love their culture and they all have discipline. and for those travelers who loves signature stuff,you should go to GINZA SIX in ginza. and right outside the mall is the largest 12 storey UNIQLO store. spent 4 hrs just browsing stuff to buy. over all I LOVE JAPAN. special mention to DIYA,NOW & ASUKA of mimaru tokyo ueno north for being so accommodating from our arrival to our departure. hugs and kisses!

Good place to be at Ueno”
The place was really nice and about 3-5 mins walk to the train station. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were nice and clean and the apartment comes equipped with all the things you need to cook. It also has a self-service washer and dryer area. We really enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend it.

Plenty of room for the kids”
We have a 3yr old and 1yr old who loved the apartment. They could see the trains out the window and had loads of room to play. They also loved the bath. Everthing was clean and modern. The beds were a little hard but this see.s to be the norm in Japan. Will definitely stay here again when in Tokyo.

This hotel is close to Ueno Station. It is good for shopping and easy access to other parts of Tokyo by JR and subway. The room is spacious even we are group of 4. The design is simple and clean The houseware is clear and tidy. It is very nice and valuable hotel.

A family of 4 very happy with the bunk beds and proper dinner table. A rare find in a popular tourist destination near to JR Circle line station. Hotel is new and clean, one of the best I have stayed in!

We love this place so much. First we were worried because of our late check in (around 00.20AM) and they don't have 24 hours receptionist, but they have staff waiting for us, we just simply press the door bells only. I love the size of the room! It’s far more better than Mimaru Kyoto station! With the group size of 5 it is extremely spacious! With a few minutes walked, I can easy access to JR Ueno and the subway station! If you don’t mind spend an hour of walking to and fro you can walk to Kappabashi Street and Sensoji Temple , Asakusa!

We stayed in MIMARU Hotel for 2nights. The location is easy to find. Google map shows 4mins walk from Ueno station, actually travellers should also consider the walking time that you have to spend from the gate to exit as Ueno is a big station. Especially if you have luggage... The apartment is pretty big, we are happy there has a freezer to keep our ice cream! I love the pillow and bed is so comfortable. Hotel staffs are helpful and friendly. They can speak English as well.

Very near to ueno east. We took room w double decker and double bed. Got alot of space to walk around and salah. Coin laundry and iron available. 10min walking distance to ueno station (got easy links to big stations)

Absolutely perfect for longer stays with a bit of flexibility. Pretty much everything in site. Have had better WiFi and showers but both passable and it’s eeally nitpicking.

The rooms is very spacious and clean. Everything are above expectations except one and only disappointment is the aircond. It was a centralized aircond where it switched to warm from Oct to Apr due to the weather. We felt hot but the only choice is to open the window.

This is one of the best hotel chain in Japan i feel. It allows us to stay with our kids. Space management is good. Toilet and bath area fantastic. Location is also good. Quiet, super easy access to Lawson and Family Mart. Good if you are travelling in a group of 4 or 6 with kids.

This hotel apartment is really nice, spacious and comfy. Our family loved staying there so much. We left our luggages during the week while traveling to other cities. Spacious hotel room in Ueno”
We recently stayed at Mimaru a Tokyo Ueno North. We chose it because it suits our family of 3 adults and 2 children (12 and 8 yo). The hotel is about 800m from the train and metro station. It is more of a apartment than hotel. The room is very spacious by Tokyo standard. The has a good kitchenette with microwave and cooktop. The sitting area is big enough for 5 of use to enjoy some takeaway meals. The bathroom/shower was separate from the toilet and was also quite spacious. There was nothing terrible about the hotel. However, you do have to be prepared to walk to and from the stations. There is no restaurants in the property and only a few small restaurants close by. They are quite generous with providing tea bags (black and green) but not with coffee (we were given 5 coffee pods: 5 of us stayed there for 6 nights). There is a laundry on the second floor (cost ~¥500 to wash and dry). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mimaru.
