A Trip to Remember!”
We stayed here as part of our honeymoon trip and were a bit concerned with the cost. Rest assured the cost was worth it! This place is absolutely amazing, located in the national park with animals galore. We saw so many wallabies, wombats, possums, and birds. The staff were friendly and helpful, they offered complimentary breakfast included in our stay. The restaurant and bistro both had amazing food. The rooms were cozy and the fireplace and spa bath worked beautifully. The shuttle bus service into the mountains takes you to some amazing walking tracks with breathtaking views. A trip we will always remember.

Paradise”
I spent 2 nights at Peppers Cradle Mountain. The first night in a Spa Suite. Gorgeous! A perfect room to relax with a glass of bubbles, soaking in a spa bath before relaxing in front of the wood fire looking out over the bush with wombats roaming free. The next night was in a Pencil Pine Cabin, simpler, cheaper but again a gorgeous night sitting in front of a gas fireplace looking out over the bush. Everything about this resort is gorgeous. A 3 minute walk into the National Park to catch the free shuttle to spend the days walking through such a beautiful park. I will definitely be returning here. A must stay!

Just Perfect”
We were travelling with friends from the UK and we couldn't have been happier. The facilities were just perfect., the wildlife throughout the resort was wonderful., wombats, paddy melons, wallabies and the birds were all in abundance. Just loved the enchanted walk by the main lodge., that really is special. Great guest laundry. Rooms really well appointed, loved the fact that there is a gas fire in each room that is so welcoming and kept the room really cozy. Could not recommend it highly enough.

Beautiful Cabins in Cradle Mountain”
The pictures dont do this place justice and it looks even better in person! Cabins face a small pond/lake in the lodge area and was stunning. Room is compact with a separate day bed on top of the regular bed. Heating was good and heating lights in the bathroom were a plus. A good base for many walks including the enchanted forest walk. A great place to stay and very convenient to catch the shuttle bus into the national park for other longer walks.

Best stay in Tasmania!”
The location can’t be any better - nature is right at your doorstep as the lodge is located in the cradle National national park itself! The room was great, love the lodge area and the receptionist was helpful in helping to arrange a little surprise for my boyfriend’s birthday!

Magical wintertime experience with wombat encounter included”
Friendly and helpful staff on front desk and in bistro. Breakfast included was to a very high standard. The Pencil Pine Room was very warm and cosy. The Enchanted Walk was a photographer's dream with birds, pademelons and a very happy wombat.

We are comeback customers, and spent 3 nights in the King Billy Suite to celebrate our Pearl (30th) Anniversary! We did have a comfy, peaceful and wonderful stay in this luxurious cabin which was spacious, well designed and equipped with top-notched facilities. All hotel staffs are helpful and friendly! The breakfast and the dinner foods of their Highland Restaurant were not only delicious, but mostly local or home made. Though the price of the cabin was relatively on high side, we believe to have got the true value behind every dollar spent. The location of this resort is perfect for those hikers who visit the Cradle Mountain- St. Claire Lake National Park. Every nature lover should contemplate to stay at this luxurious resort at least once in a lifetime. We shall be back whenever visiting Tasmania again!

Beautiful lodge in a picturesque location. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful, could not fault them. Accommodation was spotless and had all the extra touches you’d expect in a high end hotel. The fire places in the accommodation made it feel extra special.

Located about 2+ hours drive away from Launceston or 4 hours from Hobart, cradle mountain offers a quiet retreat, and Peppers did just that: be prepared not to have wifi in the rooms, intermittent telco connection (but there will be wifi connectivity in the lounge area) for those who cannot live without data! We stayed in the pencil pine cabin for 2 nights, and parking is available just outside the cabin. The first afternoon we had visitor: wallaby! The cabin is also located walks, suitable for children. Room was quiet and clean, with a gas heater (fireplace) to warm up the room up to individual’s preference. The hotel even provided us with a surprise bottle of wine (as we were celebrating our honeymoon!) - that’s a nice touch! The only additional feedback I will provide: the 2 washers (located in another cabin nearby) wasn’t functioning though the dryers were. Overall, a good stay!

Pademelons!”
Walk among the wombats, wallabys and pademelons. Absolutely wonderful to see these animals in their native surroundings. You walk on a boardwalk to stay out of their space, you see them from a few feet. One of the most spectacular experiences of our lives. The short walks around the property are amazing. The lodge is a mountain lodge, full of character.
