Traditional courtyard. Reccommend, staffs can speak English, clean room everyday. Will come back for sure.

I spent a good bit of time in the hotel between walking around the city streets. It was very hot. the beds are hard and there is black mold in the bath room. that is the only bad things. The staff are excellent and try very hard to please every costumer. All the linins are clean and fresh.

After giving the key to one room, staff changed the room with a very small one. It doesn't make you feel good as a traveler. Otherwise, convenient location.

tres bien placé mais très bruyant ”
Très bien placé mais très bruyant. Le personnel n est pas pas toujours très aimable. Ne rien demander aux hôtesses car elles vous enverront vite balader. Nous avons quand même eu affaire avec quelqu un qui nous a trouvé des taxis pour l aéroport. La literie est très dure. Restaurant pas rapide, nous avons du annuler notre commande après 1:15 d attente.

Traditional chinese hotel in Beijing ”
As expected by the previous reviews, we found the hotel difficult to find as our taxi driver could not locate it even after passing from the front of the hotel. A bit difficult to locate but hotel is fine and check in was very fast. Rooms are old fashioned and well maintained beds and heater provided in the room. Only problem is hot water which is not available inspite of the facility available. Staff suggested to keep the tap open for some time to wait for hot water as it has to flow around 30 yards from the source to the taps in the room. It never came even after opening the taps for few hours also. It was a traditional Chinese type hotel. Good for a single night stay when you have to just wait for your next flight and most of the time doing sight seeing in Beijing.

Location is very good, that's really the best selling points. Cleanliness is bad. Facilities is old. Toilet drain blocked few times. Front desk staff is not friendly.

Extremely small and filthy rooms”
Hotel very difficult to find as tucked away down a small hutong. First room (Standard Double) was extremely small and cramped and the toilet/bathroom had smelly drains and floor dirty with hairs everywhere. After upgrading to a twin room it was still dusty and dirty and bathroom floor was filthy, hair clogging shower drain and wash basin cracked. The taps and shower controls were heavily stained and housekeeping never cleaned the room just replenished towels each day. There was dust and litter left under the beds. This place needs a deep clean throughout!!!!

Beautiful old traditional hotel”
Simple, small room, old, and utterly beautiful. Great location, helpful staff, and such a feeling of being in China. Nothing fancy about the rooms, but the courtyard inside is gorgeous.

Great location, flies in toiletbowl”
location was great, minutes away from Zhushikou and Qianmen metro. Two halal restaurants by Qianmen Street. Walking distance to Tiannanmen Sq, Forbidden City and Jingshan Park. Recep was great, they try to help even if there was a language barrier but show a map in Mandarin and they can quickly point you to the right direction. Bathroom is fine although remember to close the toilet lid cuz the flies congregate there. Hot water may take a few minutes.

Its worth for the money. Good location and two MTR stations nearby, the one Qian men and the other Zhu shi kou, if you know how to get to the place. Its my second time of staying. The Qianmen line will shorten my time to arrive from or depart for the airport. So I think its a good choice for me to make. The heating and air conditioner provide much more than enough heat and warmth to the room, which I care most in Winter time. However, they have also a lot to improve, such as the cleanliness of the bathroom/ toilet.

Unbeatable Price for Quality”
For the price, the quality of the stay you get is simply the best or next to it. I have been staying at various hotels around Beijing ranging from 3 to 4 star hotels on business trips. This stay at Qianmen Courtyard Hotel is personal and it is absolutely value for money. Fantastic location, good service, cleanliness is alright unless you are a princess. For single traveler, look no further. I will go to this hotel again on my next personal trip.

It is worthy to stay in a place as so called old Chinese traditional hostel, with its quite good location and the streets near by. While the facilities is not that satisfactory since some seems not work properly and i have to call the staff for help. The hot water for showering at the night time works quite well but it sounds turns to another situation in the very late night or in the early morning, there seems no hot water periodically in the late night and early morning. And the toilet is not that good too, it blocks for a few times in a week's time. I had to use it very carefully. It's acceptably quiet in the room. You have to ask for extra heater or to get directions to turn on the air conditioning in the room in order to warm the room otherwise it will be too cold in Oct and Nov.

Due to flight cancellations we had to do some rescheduling so I called and let the hotel know that instead of 2 pm we will be checking in at 7 am the following day. I was told that we have to pay for the missed night and I said I expected that and it's fine and the reason I call is to make sure that the rest of the booking is not canceled and we get to check in as soon as we arrive. When we arrived though the reception staff told us that the room is not yet cleaned but we can go ahead and put our bags while the room is being cleaned. I told her about the phone call that I made about our flight cancellation and check in time change and insisted that since we paid for the previous night's room, that room should still be clean and we should be able to check into a clean room. The reception staff rudely cut me off and put us in the back most room, hidden and out of sight with nothing but the view of somebody else's laundered underwear blowing in the breeze.
