For Nature Lovers”
If you love nature and are interested in seeing elephants being cared for in a humane way this is a unique opportunity and for me one that I will never forget. The property is huge and in a gorgeous, remote setting. You will sacrifice having WiFi for a few days but enjoy a beautiful setting and the chance to meet some charming creatures.
nice and relaxing location”
Stayed 3 nights. The hotel got busier at the weekend as a large group had booked in. This caused less choices for breakfast seating. Getting a table out of the sun was not as easy. The first 2 nights the breakfast was cooked to order. The 3rd night it was a buffet. Good breakfast. We ate 3 evening meals in the hotel and the food was excellent. The first night we were booked in a deluxe room then were upgraded to a chalet for the next 2 nights. Both rooms were okay with the chalet being recently upgraded . Nice area for walking in the grounds around the ponds and near to the river even though care had to be taken because of the types of wildlife in the sanctuary. Hotel wardens were regularly seen checking the area to keep guests safe. On one of the mornings we were lucky enough to see the elephants being taken on a morning walk next to the river. We used the swimming pool to cool off in the afternoon's. One of the highlights for me was the variety of wild birds. Would stay again,
For Elephant Lovers”
If you are in love with elephants, this resort is fantastic for you. It's beautiful, it's peaceful, it's luxurious and the elephants programs are every elephant lovers dream. You wont see elephants chained up for photo props, they are free to roam the entire 360 acres, swim in the river, forage and interact with each other as a family to their hearts content. The mahouts love them and they are a joy to watch. The hotel itself is beautifully presented, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the restaurant serves great food. What more could you want.
A very unique experience”
Not only is this resort interesting, it is an Elephant sanctuary too. Decor is targeted on the Elephant theme. Room was top notch and the grounds were well manicured. If you are wanting a get away from the city, this is the place to relax and rest. Nature loving people will love it here.
So peaceful and romantic”
Very quiet and we really felt out in nature, even though we were just 10 minutes out of town. Our cabin was wonderful - modern inside, and clean. The cafe at the entrance was cute, and the elephants are amazing. Nice pool as well.
Secluded without being remote”
We stayed in the suite with two extra beds (mattresses) for the kids. Very peaceful environment, you have your own villa, the size is just right, everything worked and the quality of everything was just right. The resort is also an elephant sanctuary, it has its own 900 rai of land, and the resort itself is quite a long way in, so very peaceful. The elephant sanctuary tour was very interesting. Minor point is that breakfast could have been better, it was more of an Asian breakfast than Farang breakfast, but I think this seems to be more of a Farang resort than Thai, so breakfast should reflect that a bit more.
Quick Summary ”
Sappraiwan I booked online. It's a bit remote. Beautiful and quiet after hectic Bangkok. Pick a chalet not a room. Facilites were amazing. Staff great, Food nice, pool lovely, elephant experience good. Overall, glad I went and I would go again.
Great location for a couple escape”
Very well situated resort, friendly staff and clean rooms, ideal for a couple escape. The resort is situated on the National 12, you can access a lot of naturals parks nearby easily and it's very easy to go to Petchabun and visit Wat Prathat Phasornkaew.
Staff couldn't find the booking, the hotel used paper files 1960 style. Was waiting 30 minutes after re-booking and checking in for getting someone to show us to the room without luck. I went to the counter and canceled the booking and took off. I certainly hope they had a bad day otherwise this hotel will close soon.
Value for money, has great potential, but not there yet.”
The only thing that let it down was the breakfast. At the entrance of the park they have a coffee shop. Excellent value and good coffee, and at 2pm the two bull elephants come to eat beside it. They have 14 elephants altogether.
Amazing to see elephants in incredible surrounding”
Don't recommend if you want nightlife or entertainment. Hotel is in the middle of nowhere - 30 minute drive to the nearest town. Do recommend if you want to relax and unwind. Seeing the elephants roaming around made it a perfect break from city life.
location--convenience- but a bit dirt”
it was just OK for me. We went there on weekend. There was a seminar there so it existed to me such an amount of people. It was noisy that time. Everything was fine but what i did not like is what I felt the floor dirty. I mean I found the floor covered with some soil and dust. It was not that dirty much but I didnt like it personally. Anyway!, it will be more convenient if u have ur own car.
Very good quiet beautiful location good room enjoyed meeting the elephants breakfast was a little dissapointing but the pool is very nice and the whole experience enjoyable could have stayed longer for good relax
Had a great stay, what a privilege to see elephants so close and meet authentic and honest people dealing with them. We would invite everyone to visit this hotel and help them to maintain their programo
4 nights in Phitsanulok ”
Really enjoyed it here. Yes it's located 45 minutes from town but our family agreed everything we needed was there. The bungalows, pool area, dining all really hit the spot for us. Staff bent over backwards to help. Will definitely recommend this place.
We booked a family chalet which was perfect for a family with 3 small children under the age of 5. The kids loved the grounds and spent hours exploring. The hotel is very peaceful & it was lovely to see the elephants roaming free. The hotel only provides Thai food which we found to be excellent. The chalet was clean however, I would say the hotel has seen better days & needs some maintenance & updating. All in all we enjoyed our stay & will definitely be returning.
All in all an excellent hotel. Standing in 350 acres of woodland there was plenty to occupy the guests, especially in the morning when they bought the elephants down to the front of the hotel for the guests to feed. The only down side was the food. Neither of us enjoyed it that much but if you like cold fried eggs for breakfast then this is the place for you. We would both be tempted back if the cuisine improved and the staff had better English language skills.
Love nature love this hotel”
Thailand can be extremely hot., but the lacers of trees keep the temperature down. If that is not enough the pool is large enough to do laps (25 yards). The rooms are large and modern. The manager speaks perfect English. It was a treat to see the elephants that come right to the front of the hotel with their caretakers. You can also visit the elephants where they live. The hotel is large but had very low occupancy. There was also some renovation going on but this did not interfer withour enjoyment or our ability to relax by the pool. The breakfast could have used some fresh fruit and the bread was just standard white bread. I would go back. It is excellent value, very pretty surroundings and seeing the elephants up close is impressive.
