It's quite not suitable for family as the bathroom and toilet does not have doors. Only curtain which covers half. It's more to couple room. Some staff is too unfriendly. Theh should be more friendlier to customer.

We checked in to a family room and it did not disappoint. It had two separate rooms with toilet in each. Each floor has a theme. The location was quiet and even if it’s not in the cbd, it’s only 10-20mins away from most attractions. I would highly recommend this to both couple or group check in.

There is convenient transport near the hotel to reach the tourist attractions. The facilities at the hotel were a bit old and the design was a bit awkward without bathroom doors and there is only very dim light in the bathroom. We didn't have hot water in the shower on the 2nd night there and the staff moved us to another room, which was not really comfortable as it was much smaller than our original room. They did help us when we requested to move to a bigger room in the end. Our room rate included breakfast yet the staff said it did not and this issue went on throughout our stay there, only to find out in the end that the price did include breakfast, but for one person only. I think Agoda needs to list out the details more clearly to avoid such issues from happening again. The staff were quite friendly though and the place is clean. Overall, quite a good place for a short stay but don't expect TOO much.

The hotel room has a bathtub which is a good thing. However, there is no door which is kind of weird. The staff is not very friendly and the hotel is far away from the train station. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the train station which is not very convenient.

Not a 4 star hotel. More like a backpacker hostel than a hotel. Clean and basic, close to city centre, so will do the job, just don't expect a lot. Does not look like internet photos. Walls need repapering or painting, carpets need replacing, Basic furniture had dents and chips. Shower nozzle sprayed everywhere. Beds hard but spacious and comfortable. Quite soundproof. Also there was no door on the toilet, and the shower glass see through with no curtain into the bedroom. We asked where should we eat and were sent down the street where we ended up buying sandwiches in a grocery store. Staff do not speak English but use translator to communicate. Tried to book a taxi to airport, told cost 300 YMB, too expensive according to our previous experience, told OK 200RMB still too expensive, They said if we don't like the cost they could call a taxi for us. Booked a metered taxi for us cost 125YMB in heavy traffic. Might have been 4 star once upon a time but has had no maintenance since.

The hotel promised comfortable stay for two adults and two kids. The reality was a room with a King Size bed, which could not accommodate four people at all. There was no space for any extra bed. There was not even any space on the floor to support a person. It is impossible for that room to hold four people . There was no bath "room" but an open space toilet space. No matter how hard we tried, there was always water on the floor after shower! The total area for the vanity, the toilet, and the shower (i.e. bath "room" space) is less than 50 square feet (my best guess). They promised breakfast included for four people. However, the front desk gave only two breakfast tickets provided by a third party not the hotel. The breakfast itself was really unsatisfying. My suggestion - never book this hotel again, even for free!

Good location, awful place”
Well i stayed for a week here with my wife and 2 young children. Staff was terrible, no one spoke in english, and everyone seem to have rude attitude to guests(saw one staff on reception screaming to guest). Good thing was room had no weird smell(as most hotels in beijing do), but cleanliness of shower was awful as hell! Breakfast was not that great but acceptable. Only good thing was its location( its pretty close to Tiantan museum. I hope there are much better places than this its not worth your money.

Horreur et stupeur ”
Arrivé à l'hôtel spring valley,nous avons déjà du mal à reconnaître l'établissement car les photos de l'hôtel ne colle pas à la réalité. La chambre est vielle et surtout dans un état de décomposition. Les équipements sont en fin de vie alors l'hôtel n'a que 6 ans. Le personnel n'est pas méchant mais ne parle pas anglais. Les chambres ne sont pas faites (pas de nettoyage, pas d'aspirateur juste de changement de serviettes ) Par ailleurs le petit déjeuner il faudrai un chapitre pour le décrire. C'est le néant rien à manger quand tout le monde s'est servi ben après le serveur n'en remets plus sachant que celui-ci vaut 68 yuan. Franchement même si c'est un métier de juger les hôtels sachant que je n'ai pas cette prétention mais celui-ci vaut 1 étoile. Le seul point positif reste l'emplacement car il se trouve à 10 minute d'un métro donc d'un point de vue transport c'est convenable. Je ne recommande pas cette hôtel

Mauvaise expérience, très très sale.. mieux vaut payer un peu plus cher et être au propre. Le prix est abusif, pas de choix au petit déjeuner. Bas de gamme.. n est pas du tout un 4 étoiles. Ne vous fiez pas aux photos, tout est sale, on ose pas poser un pied par terre.

L'ensemble de l'établissement vieillit très mal ! Aucune photo du site de l'hôtel n'est à jour. Les chambres sont très défraichies (moquette, murs, sanitaires, miroirs...)et le coin salle de bain ne laisse aucune intimité. Pas de toilettes séparées!! Le petit déj est tout juste acceptable. Le niveau d'anglais du personnel est trop limite! Ne comptez pas vous distraire dans le quartier, il n'y a absolument rien à faire....

Horrible Experience ”
The worst hotel we've ever been to. They put you in a room that the some of the lights and heaters don't work, in below zero degree temperature. We asked them to help us and fix it and they came in just pressed a few buttons and went back. Even though i clearly mentioned that it isn't working, they told me to wait a bit longer. After waiting for an hour, the heater is still running cold. We asked them to fix it and they offered to change the room and they put us in a very cheap room (originally we paid for deluxe room which costs more), we asked if the room we're moving to is a deluxe room and the person working in reception assured us that it was, which was a complete lie. Even after changing the room the ceiling was losing it's plastic paint and falling on our bed, the light in the bathroom didnt work and the room was generally quite bad. After we let them know of the issues, the person working in reception didn't even bother to apologise or help us in anyway. We had to book another

Just stayed for the night due to very late arrival to Beijing. Nothing exceptional was expected, and all basic needs were made available. But there are better deals within nearby areas for the price paid.
