Excellent emplacement et très bon hôtel”

L’hôtel touche le grand centre commercial Sunshine, on peut y accéder par le centre (niveaux 0 et -1) ou par l’extérieur. Possibilité d’y accéder directement par limousine bus depuis Haneda et Narita, c’est bien pratique quand on est en famille et bien chargés. Il y a absolument tout ce qu’on veut dans le centre pour manger, faire du shopping ou se divertir, et même à proximité du centre (supermarchés, cinémas, game centers...). La chambre est impeccable, la vue sur la ville est plutôt agréable, la température de la chambre est confortable (pas de réglage individuel de la clim s’il fait trop chaud par contre), c’est spacieux, propre, c’est le Prince Hôtel et c’est une valeur sure. C’est un peu plus cher par contre, bien qu’avec agoda on a pu bénéficier d’une bonne promotion. Les lignes JR ikebukuro sont à un peu plus de 10 minutes à pied mais le trajet n’est pas désagréable et pour la moitié couvert en passant par le centre. La station de métro Higashi ikebukuro est plus proche. Top !

Linge de lit un peu vieillot, cet hôtel mériterait un petit coup de jeune. Bien pour un court séjour dans Tokyo car pratique d'accès pour découvrir la ville en métro. Le personnel parle anglais et répond à nos attentes ( bagages en consigne gratuite le dernier jour ).

A moins de 10 minutes à pied de la Yamanote, en plein cœur d'un centre commercial hallucinant qui propose tout. À 1 minute d'un super marché et d'une poste qui ne ferment jamais... La chambre est confortable et assez spacieuse. Le staff est très agréable et pâle parfaitement anglais

Pleasant surprise ”

This is the last night, 7 in total. I didn't hold out big expectations, but was pleasantly surprised. We arrived very early hours of the morning after bus dropped us of at Ikebukuro station after a very delayed flight. Eventually found the hotel, quick check in we were up to our room and hit the pillow. On waking was wowed by the most amazing view from our 24 floor window. Yes room small, but used the space well. Desk at the window with TV, kettle, desk lamp & folding mirror. underneath safe & fridge with chair. I booked a twin room thinking this would give us a little more room. Beds really comfortable with 2 down pillows each. Bedside table between with light controls & bed lamp. Cotton waffle night gown & slippers each. Bathroom consists of bath/shower, toilet with all the bells & whistles. toiletries pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap on tap, cotton tips, 2 toothbrush & paste, 2 combs, 2 shower caps, 2 razors/ cream & combination brush/comb. Everything super clean & bedding/ towels white white. Staff so helpful. Family Mart in the foyer that is 24/7 that has every thing you need. Hotel is in a shopping center and close to Ikebukuro station. So happy with our choice of hotel & will definitely stay here again if we are ever back in Tokyo.

Very comfortable hotel”

Booked this hotel for a really good deal when it was on sale ($90 CAD/night). Very comfortable to stay in, staffs were friendly, room and bathroom were clean, bottled water and slippers were provided. Room has a mini fridge that you can put food in, as well as coffee maker and tea powder. It's attached to the Sunshine City Mall so lots of dining option and shopping available. Staff was also able to accommodate my request to be in a room further from the elevator so it wasn't noisy. Rooms are smoke-free and my room didn't have any weird smell. Downside is it's a bit of a walk from Ikebukuro Station (about 10 min) so it's not super convenient to get to if you have lots of luggages. They do have direct limousine bus to/from the airport (I think it's 3000yen from NRT) if you don't want to brave the train, which is a good option for people with young children or lot of luggages. I'd stay here again if there are good room deals on my next trip :)

1. Family mart in floor 1. Besides lift hotel. 2. Halal food also sell in family mart. If you need halal restaurant, just go to saffron restaurant and kebab mart. 3. This hotel has airport transfer bus from/to Narita/haneda. Very convenient &easy. 4. Also have tour to Mt Fuji. 5. Shopping place is also in the same building, sunshine city. And when you going out a bit around 100m,you will find the shopping area+ entertainment, like Uniqlo, Mandrake ikebukuro and others. 6. Train ikebukuro jr also only requires 8minutes walk. 7. We went to asakusa only by bus. No need to interchange bus. Direct from ikebukuro (east) bus 64.... but there will be 33stops. Its ok since don’t need to interchange. 8. At first we stay for 2 night... but we found that this hotel has everything, and plan going to other hotel which much more cheaper... but then we decided to stay here since everything is here. 9.

+ buses direct from hotel to kawaguchiko and airport make it very convenient. + located in a shopping mall. + 15 min walk to ikebukuro train station with plenty of food and shops along the way. many shopping malls in the area. + option to do without room cleaning will get a 500yen voucher per day. + toilet was very clean and new which is very impt + most staff can converse in english - only negative comment is that the hotel seems to be very popular and was fully booked during my stay. in the mornings the lift can stop at every floor and will need to wait for a few lifts before able to get on. but it proves that the hotel is really good

Stayed for 7 nights at Sunshine Prince Hotel Ikebukuro, very good location, especially easy access from Narita or Haneda airport as it has direct airport bus service to the hotel. On top of that, there is a 24 hours Family Mart located in the building for you to buy snacks, drinks etc. The hotel is also connected to the Sunshine Mall, easy to look for restaurants and do a little bit of shopping. For those coming with young children, do visit the Sunshine Aquarium, not too big but entertaining for the kids, look out for the penguins! There is also a new feature of this service called "Ike Bus" where you can get on ride along the Ikebukuro area, just hop on the red or yellow Ike bus at the bus stop located right in front of the hotel. If you are looking to rent a car, there is Nippon Rental Car right at the basement, super easy! Walking to Ikebukuro around 10 mins, along the way there are shops. Recommended!

Love the hotel. Connected directly to Sunshine city mall. Love the lobby that has family mart for 24 hours. The room is so comfort. When zi left a little spot on the bed sheet. In the night, when we came back to hotel and the room had cleaned, The cleaner changed the new bed sheet. I was so appreciated with the little thing how well they treated us. The major point why we choose this hotel is the airport limosine bus that is ready in front of lobby. We are so pleased staying in the sunshine prince hotel. Thank you

I stayed for 4 nights. You cannot beat the location. Direct access to Sunshine City Mall, full of restaurants, cafes and a supermarket. 10 minute walk to Ikebukuro station. Sunshine City Mall has a brilliant observation deck. The room was fine for Tokyo standards. Clean, great view, comfortable bed and pillows. The staff were very helpful. I would absolutely stay here again.

This hotel is amazing to me. Very close to central of Ikebkuro(2mins walking ). Bus limousine from H/N airport pickUp/drop off right infront of hotel( which very convinence for one who have kids or a lots of luggage) . Main train station only 5mins walking and the other train line right underground of the hotel . Food court right on top of hotel ( trading hr about 11am-10pm) . Many nice other restaurants surround. But need to keep in mind the short cut path way to central of Ikebkuro will be close after 10 or 11pm . So you need to walk a bit further to hotel . It took me 30 mins to work out how to get back to the hotel at the 1st night but don’t worry Google map will be your best friend . All the staffs are very nice especially a guy who work at holding luggage next to reception. I don’t think he is Japanese but spoken very well in Japanese and English . He is very helpful , anything not sure just ask him. The room is very clean, new , decently tiny but reasonable price.

Good location, comfy rooms”

I love staying around Ikebukuro and this hotel fits the bill. Rooms are comfortable and so are the beds. It’s a plus that Animax are available on the TV! Direct buses back and to both airports in Tokyo. Highly recommend! Will always book here if I ever go to Tokyo!

Good location and facilities ”

Must stay hotel. Near many station lines and underground link to JR line, so no worries about weather. Hotel is also linked to malls and plenty eatries, suitable for family w kids as well. Activities to do for young and shopping for adult. Clean hotel. I took double room on 37th floor which is big and enough for family of 3. Other room types are smaller so pls check before booking. No complains. Family mart in the hotel vicinity, settled lots of my midnight craving there. Will definitely stay again!

Room is small, but expected for a hotel room in Tokyo. We were able to open our 2 large luggages with some space left to walk around. The toilet is very clean. Our only complain would be that the pillows are very very flat, thus uncomfortable. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel & stay here again.

This hotel is located between train stations Higashi-Ikebukuro and Ikebukuro. It is 4 stops away from Shinjuku station and 7 stops away from Shibuya station. The hotel is connected to a mall called Sunshine City and there is an airport limousine bus that stops at the foot step of the hotel. There are many shops and restaurants located in the heart of Ikebukuro. The rooms are a decent size. You are able to open up two big luggages without compromising walking space and the rooms are clean and sufficiently equipped. There is a family mart convenience store located in the hotel itself if you ever need to buy anything. Full of praises for this hotel. Definitely will recommend this hotel and definitely will come back to stay in this hotel again.

If you can get this hotel with the agoda discounts, I highly suggest it. I didn't pay full price for this reservation but for what I paid it was well above worth staying here.

Good but confusing”

The hotel is a very good hotel in a great location, but it is very confusing for US travelers with older children. In the US almost all standard hotel rooms are fine for a family of 4. However, in Japan that's not the case. We had booked rooms but there was a lot of confusion as to how large the accommodations were. Typically in this hotel, the rooms seem to only accommodate 2. My wife and I purchased a semi-double and were concerned on the size of the bed. It was fine and would work for any used to sleeping in a US double bed. We tried to purchase a room with twin beds. That seemed to work ok, saying we had the booking, but I received a message that the confirmation did not go through due to an error. Not fun. I would highly recommend going through a booking agent, like Agoda, because, otherwise your price will be much higher. We tried at the hotel lobby and the price was 211 US. Through Agoda it was 130 US.

The rooms are huge, the hotel is inside the huge shopping mall of Sunshine City, it's walking distance from JR Ikebukuro and there are many public transport options available (Bus, Subway, rail, tram). Twice I have stayed in Prince Hotels and they never disappoint.
