This was a beautiful hotel with a large, very clean duplex room. All staff were exceptional and check-in/out was a breeze although, it's not a large front desk. The hotel was set up nicely for Christmas activities with a visit from Santa on Christmas Eve. The location was fine but a bit of a walk to some of the sights, although very close to good restaurants. I would stay here again if returning to Beijing.

The suite was reasonably spacious as compared to most presidential suites, and had its own sound proof movie room. The living room, however, was relatively a little smaller than what would have been ideal.

Problem about my booking ”

I was already booking and payment around 2 months before i arrived to hotel (Beijing Suite type) We were arrived to hotel around 9 pm and then reception staff (Ms. Joy Zhao) said to me and family that we were false in booking with Agoda agent then they said we need to downgrade my room to standard room. And force to me contact with Agoda agent directly. OMG !!! no any help and idea for professional solve of this problem from her .Why they not offer a different room in same class to us and handle with this problem by hotel staff? I pay for suite room, NOT STANDARD ROOM !!! But after we are forceful talk and had some argument each other so she would call someone to help us. At that time we are so tried and wait for my room around 30 mins so I don’t think this is a professional solve of this problem. If at the moment we were already check out , i would like to leave some complaints to your staff of Peninsula Beijing service was very bad . By the way i am so surprising no complimentary fruits or anything for suite room , we requested for an ice bucket for champagne but housekeeping give a very old plastic bucket to us but not for hold champagne.VERY SURPRISED !!

Disappointing and sub-standard service”

Had great experience at other Peninsula, but this Beijing outlet, very disappointing. 2 miserable check-in counters without seats, lack of warmth, just cold & slow service that made me feel unwelcome. Breakfast not cheap, but absolutely not value for money. In fact, food from the menu taste horrible & tiny buffet spread is a joke. What a rip-off! Making thing worse, I was taken aback when the service staff said to me “先去排队，不要着急” means go and Q up patiently. Mind u, the guests are all civilized people, nobody’s jumping Q at all. Staff asked for number of people and jotted in small slip of paper, and then just utter such rude remarks like teacher instructing pupils even though she didn’t really take long to bring guests to the tables. Goodness! Mood totally ruined early in the morning. And I spotted chipped porcelain bowl, which is a big no no for any good restaurant. Service staff just turned blind and needed reminder to clear away soiled plates. Thumbs down! Will not come back again

Très bon hôtel de luxe, bien situé, belle piscine, personnel chaleureux... Seul défaut, le rue où se situe l'hôtel est envahie le soir par des filles tentant d'arnaquer les étrangers, ne leur répondez pas (dites-que vous ne parlez pas l'anglais), sinon, vous risquez de le payer très cher.

Hotel luxeux- personnel très professionnel.”

accueil très agréable. nous avions réservé deux chambres et l'hotel a fait le necessaire au dernier moment pour que les chambres soient cote à cote. les cheveux sont très luxueuses (prêt de cd pour écouter de la musique) la piscine est merveilleuse et le restaurant chinois est délicieux même si les prix sont beaucoup plus élévés que dans les petits restaurants aux alentours. de nombreux magasins de luxes sont au r de c de l'hotel.

Excellent hotel avec un service asiatique de haut niveau et tout genre de services.Chambre magnifiques ainsi que toutes les parties publiques de l'hotel. Un personnel extremement attentif.Un vrai Peninsula dans la grande tradition de ses confreres de Hong Kong et Bangkok.C'est une valeur sure á Beijing.Le Peninsula reste une grande dame de l'hotellerie chinoise y a encore beaucoup de cartes á jouer avant e pouvoir être dépassé par ses concurrents le splus directs.

First time visiting Beijing and stayed in the Peninsula, Beijing .Both of them are amazing! Love the hotel. Excellent location, walking distance to many must see sites in Beijing. The Building is beautiful ,top rate service and our room was fantastic and cleanliness.I highly recommend it

Excellent Hotel in Beijing”

We spent 6 nights in Beijing Peninsula and had a wonderful time. All rooms are suites and we had plenty of space to move around. The location is in Wangfujing where you can shop and eat till late. APM is just 8min walk away and the famous duck restaurant DaDong is 5min walk from the hotel. All staff are very polite and welcoming. You will not be disappointed with Peninsula's hospitality.

Below Expectation”

The front desk staff were less than professional especially the western managers. They never greet or smile to guests which I find hard to understand for a 5 star hotel. I have stayed at other Peninsula properties none of them has this issue. The service standard is below par for a Peninsula.

this hotel is located on the center of beijing, the aroud area is a commeriacl area where you can shopping and have a lots of other things to do, and it would only take you like 15mins to arrive at Sanlitun or CBD, so it's very smart to stay in this area, and the hotel itself is very elegent, the stuff are friendly and helpful,also this is the first all-suite hotel in beijing so it has very large rooms, there is a art gallary in the 3rd floor which is just near the spa, some creative artworks and shown there. in a word, it's one of the best places to stay with in bejing, but it would be a little noisy ouside of the windonw during midnight.

Undergoing renovation affects the service a bit”

As Peninsula Beijing was having a large-scale renovation during our stay, the taxi driver almost could not find the hotel entrance. After going up to the check-in floor, it was quite difficult to find the front desk as there was insufficient notice. In general, the room is great but the service is a bit hampered with its renovation.
