MAL! Arrivés vers 16h30 à l'hotel, on nous préviens qu'il y a eu des problèmes de serviettes de toilette dans la journée donc elles ne sont pas disponible dans les chambres. Présentation des chambres : ok j'ai pris la chambre "petit single" mais je ne pensait pas petit a ce point là! Dans le descrittif ils disent "15m²" mais au dernier étage donc mansardé sur plus de la moitié de la chambre et de la salle de bain! Les 15m2 ne sont très probablement pas en Loi Carrez.... Bref On descend vers 17h30 afin de se balader (ne pouvant pas encore prendre de douche!) en passant devant la réception nous redemandons si les serviettes seront mises bientôt dans nos chambres ils nous disent oui! Au final à notre retour à 20h00 elles n'étaient toujours pas là, nous les avons eu à 20h45 après 3 relances et la cerise sur le gâteau c'est qu'elles sentaient la friture... Personnel non compréhensif sur le fait que ne pas avoir de serviette de toilette entrave le bien-être du client. Visiblement nous avons été les derniers de l’hôtel à être servi en serviettes et je me demande si ce serait pas du au fait que l'on passe une seule nuit dans les chambres les moins chères?!?!? De ce que j'en ai vu la prestation de cet hôtel de vaux pas 3 étoiles...

Professional, friendly welcome and check-out. Restaurant very good and 10% discount for residents is a bonus. Perfectly situated in the historic area surrounded by good shops and restaurants. Good value. Everything you need for a short stay. Nice and quiet.

Cons no dstv. Pros good breakfast and diner. Great staff. Heating that works. Comfy bed and pillow. Very nice duty manager. I forgot my phone and moved on to cape town. I phoned them up and chamber maid found it and left in with recption. I got it back the next dat.

Overbooked”

Booked and paid for 2bed 2bath app. Arrived from UK to be taken to a room with three beds squeezed into a single floor area. They seemed surprised that I wouldn’t accept it and were not able to offer an alternative. This was our second and last visit to this hotel. As it worked out the alternative that I managed to find provided significantly better accommodation and value.

Very reasonable for the location and amenities ”

Room was compact and included all the necessary provisions. We didn't face any issues with the underground parking either. Location is excellent, and 10% off on Stellenbosch Kitchen a welcome bonus.

Superbe”

Everything about the Stellenbosch Hotel was great. The staff was wonderful, great rooms, resonable rates, super location, and a fabulous breakfast.

Somewhat dated hotel in very central location, decent place”

We stayed one night at the Stellenbosch Hotel simply because it had a night porter to check us in when we arrived from UK at 23.30. We were then going on to Jordan Estate, which doesn't have check-in after 7pm. The Stellenbosch Hotel is reasonably clean but very dated, despite having upgraded the bathrooms, for example. Breakfast was OK, decent range of food types, good quality ingredients for buffet-style cooked breakfast, but juices all "from concentrate". Fresh coffee from proper espresso machine, though. Helpful staff. Good value and location for the price.

Nice 4 day stay”

Location is very pleasant with many nice shops and restaurants. The hotel restaurant is fine and served a very nice hot buffet breakfast. My room 21 was quiet even though it opened to the inner courtyard. It was a little cool at times as the heater/AC unit is mounted high on the wall and the tile floor was cold on the first floor. This was in early October with outside night temperatures around 18C. In winter I would suggest a room on an upper floor or a portable electric heater for a first floor room.

The staff were excellent - friendly, efficient and polite. The building is charming and very well located. The dining room for breakfast was superb, as was the breakfast. The bedroom comfortable and well appointed. Overall, an excellent choice.

Booking under false pretense ”

Did not enjoy our stay, booked a room and on arrivel we where informed that they will accommodate us at another venue and not at the hotel, we planned a whole morning around the area by foot, but instead we had to travel back to the area after staying in a very dodgy venue that they arranged as alternative accommodation.

Centrally located, helpful and friendly staff”

As a family we had a great time, and the hotel was close to local shops with plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. Good to have an underground car park in the complex.

The hotel was under refurbushing so we were not able to see it all. Location very good, walking distance to restaurants. Staff very friendly and attentive. Room a litle bit small, but clean and with all you need.

A happy trip punctuated by field trips to wine estates and restaurants not more than 15 minutes drive or 10 minutes walk.
