Wally was very helpful as a guest. He helped us plan by day our itinerary to the park. He gave us a Chinese map that we could use to show the bus driver in the park. The room itself was very spacious and very cute. Wally even allowed us to do some laundry and helped me to recharge my Chinese simcard with his wechat account. Plus, he recommended us good restaurants around for dinner and breakfast.

Very helpful advice from young boss”
The hotel owner is a young local person and has a wealthy knowledge on how to visit Wulingyuan. After we checked-in, he explained us the ideal route for our two-day visit of Wulingyuan national park using a large tour map. His explanation was clear and his marks on the map made us avoiding many repeating routes. When we asked for information of local special gifts, he explained to us how to choose the real high-quality local products. With his help, we had a wonderful two-day trip in Wulingyuan. Although the facilities of his hotel are simple and the hotel is not so fancy, the room is clean and the location is very convenient to everything (restaurants, park entrance, theater for the big show in the evening, etc.). I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends if they plan to visit Wulingyuan national park.

The owner is really nice and helpful ! :) Location to the national park is excellent, bus station is close as well to go to the glass bridge or yellow dragon caves. Rooms are spacious, clean and modern ! I highly recommend it !

Outstanding Stay at Wally’s”
Best place to stay in Wulingyuan - comfy room, excellent shower, wifi works, close to the bus station as well as the entrance to the national park as well as eateries, and a top host to top it all! Wally helped planned the two days of exploring the national park by marking the map to make it easy - made it really simple to explore the park after that. Love this place. And the resident Lab is a definite plus.

Apt location. Just 5 minutes walk from the national park gate. The host was amazing and helpful. A very helpful guide. Planned the entire travel in the park and the other places to visit. Spoke English which was the biggest plus. Even helped in booking tickets for the glass bridge.

The property was in a great location. It’s a 5 minute walk to the Zhangjiajie National Park and it’s located near restaurants. The rooms were clean and had all the basic necessities. Wally was exceptional helpful! Would definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our stay very much because of how helpful the host Wally was. He gave us great guidance & advice. We loved his golden lab dog. We ould have liked to have fresh towels during our 4 day stay but Im sure we just needed to ask. Unfortunately for Wally construction work was going on next door which was frustrating him at the time of our stay. Thanks for your great advice & guidance Wally.

Awesome location”
Walishanfang Guest House is located within 5 mins walking distance to the Wulingyuan entrance, making it the perfect base to explore Zhangjiajie National Park. While it is slightly further away from the more happening part of town like Xibu Street, the better rated restaurants (on Dian Ping) are all nearer to the entrance of the park anyway. For those wanting to go to Xibu Street, it's just a short 5 mins cab ride away. Owner's really helpful, providing us with a map of park and advising the route to take per day. The route he recommended (Tianzi Mountain --> Yangjiajie --> Yuanjiajie) more or less goes against the flow of most other tours it seems, giving us relatively more peace while in the park.

I wish I stayed at Wali’s throughout my entire trip in Zhangjiajie rather than in the city itself! The rooms were very big and comfortable and had everything you need. It’s also located near the bus station and main entrance to Zhangjiajie - all within walking distance. The owner is extremely welcoming and is very helpful with directions. He speaks English and every morning would sit down with you to plan out the best routes to take based on the time, weather and crowd. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in.

Do not stay if you are scared of dogs but good location”
It was a good stay and very near the entrance of the wulingyuan park (which is really expensive) but far from the xibu street. my girlfriend was very scared of the big dog at the front of the reception. But it was good that the owner helps to move the dog away when needed. Overall value for money! Oh yes, heater for room was not working also... so it was pretty cold. Not the cleanest overall in our opinion!

The owner was really informative and helped us carry our luggage to the fourth floor. You have to get your toiletries from the front desk. He’ll ask you what you need. Like the previous reviews, he gave great directions and helped us get the most out of our time here. Very friendly dog lol. Wonderful stay, would definitely recommend it. Stayed for 3 days.

酒店装修有格调，位置非常好，离入口步行三分钟即到。两位老板人都特别nice！非常耐心的给我们介绍当地的情况。还有最喜欢的多肉^ ^ 撸狗撸得非常爽 Cozy and clean room. Perfect location. Only 3 mins walk to the main gate of the park. The two hosts are welcoming, patient and helpful. The price for the room is extremely reasonable. Definitely a good choice for people who visit Zhangjiajie. Highly recommend!!
