EXEMPLARY STAFF SERVICE, GOOD LOCATION”
My family and I stayed at Fragrance Riverside for a week. First of all, I would like to commend Lionel, Nicole and all the staff at Fragrance Riverside for their professional, efficient and personal service. During our check-in and our check-out, Lionel was very quick to help us with our luggage. He was so personal in his service that he even bought a snack for my child when he saw as checking out at 5.30am. We are very thankful to the female staff (who we regret not to have gotten her name) at the check-in counter for giving us a free upgrade. The staff at the counter were always very cheerful and friendly and my child looks forward to seeing them everyday, especially Nicole. The hotel is clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. It was very nice to chill out at the pool on the 6th floor at the end of the day. The location of the hotel is very convenient as it is right opposite Clarke Quay Central and Clarke Quay MRT Station. It is also very convenient to go around Singapore by taking the buses right in front to Clarke Quay Central. For example, you can take Bus 197 or 63 to St Joseph Church, Bugis and Lavendar MRT Station. It is walking distance to Boat Quay and Chinatown. I would stay again at Fragrance Riverside and I would recommend this hotel to other travellers.
Great location, clean but small in size”
This is a new hotel located at Clarke Quay which was a very famous night life place in Singapore. The location is great because really near to MRT, only walking distance about 5 minutes from Clarke Quay MRT Station located below Central Mall. The hotel was new and clean. There was a swimming pool and gym room at roof level, you can swim if you want, operation hours from 7am to 10pm if i not mistaken. The customer service was nice and this hotel does not allow check in early however there are allow you to leave your belongings at the hotel if you reach earlier or check out earlier. There got a 7-11 store located below the hotel so you no need to worried about that. Definitely will stay again if i have chance to revisit Singapore.
Great location and clean room”
This was the latest hotel branch i supposed, so the room and the furniture were very clean and new. Very convenient location just opposite Central Mall, suitable for people who patron nightspots at Clarke Quay and prefer a decent budget hotel. There is a bistro bar just beside the hotel for convenient dining. As the term 'budget' suggests, the room is small and i would recommend if you bring your own toiletries as the ones provided are not of much use (toothbrush with minimal toothpaste on top and can only be used once). The showering head is great, with strong water flow but even if we adjusted to the maximum temperature, it just wasn't hot enough. I paid about half price for this hotel on a promotion, and I personally feel that the room isn't worth the normal price, albeit great location and newly renovated. It would be great if you look out for any promotions !
Great location, clean and bonus to have a swimming pool”
This hotel is very accessible to anywhere you want to go. It's located in the heart of SG, Clarke Quay station. They regularly do housekeeping. After a long day of touring you'll be back in a clean and nicely done room. Supplies are refilled too. This actually impressed me because most of the time you have to call first before someone clean the room. They also automatically refill the supplies. Reception officers are accommodating and helpful. Big check for the initiative and service of this hotel. Also, one of the highlights of our stay is the pool. For the price offered it is a bonus that you get to enjoy a pool with such a great view, a nice way to start your morning in SG. Overall my family and I are satisfied with our stay and would definitely be back and recommend to others. Thank you Fragrance Hotel Riverside for the experience.
Great Service, Great Staff, Perfect for a night, Great Location!”
Fragrance Hotel-Riverside is in a very strategic location, right across the Clarke Quay MRT station. Literally 4-5 minutes walk tops from Hotel Lobby to the MRT station. Plenty entertainment close by in Clarke Quay and Boat Quay which is also a 5-7 minute walk from the hotel. Best part of our stay was the service! We were in for 1 night. Our flight the next day was at 9pm.. Although hotel policy stated latest checkout was at 1pm, the staff allowed us to come back to the hotel before leaving to the airport for a swim in the hotel pool area and shower. This is exceptionally helpful, especially when walking around the whole day in the hot & humid Singapore weather! Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Will highly consider staying here again during 1-3 days trip to Singapore! Thank you to all the staff! Very highly recommended!
The Best "Budget" Hotel in Singapore”
Having stayed here 2x before this was my 3rd time returning. I am of the mind that in Singapore if you don't go 5 star you should go 3 star as the 4 star hotels are all of average quality and high price. This is the best 3 star hotel in Singapore and the best of the Fragrance Chain (I have stayed in others). It is clean, has an excellent location within 3 min walk to the SMRT (mass transit), 3 min walk to Clarke Quay (restaurants and bars), and is on a quiet side street. All of Singapore is safe so even if you are a single female, this hotel is for you. We got upgraded to a larger room, but even the smaller ones are good for a couple nights. Its clean with all the amenities you need on a budget and even has a pool (which I have only seen and never used). Staff are nice and attentive, internet is 10SG for 24hours (not bad as some places charge much more, but free in the lobby of the hotel if you like). If you are on a budget (slightly higher than backpacker, you can get this hotel as a deal) and for me to have my own room, tv with cable, and air con this is the best place.
Great location! Love it!”
Arrived at the hotel pass midnight, and the staff who welcomed us was very accomodating and friendly. ROOM : very clean, well maintained yet was quite small. If you have large baggages with you it would be difficult to move around the room. TV channels are also limited. Complimentary bottled water, coffee and tea are given daily. BATHROOM: quite small but very clean. Clean towels and shower with heater :) AMENITIES: (pool) clean but only about 20-25 meters i think. Good enough for morning laps :) or for a quiet dip on evenings. Also with nice rooftop view! LOCATION: PERFECT! Walking distance to Clark Quay Central (5mins or less), near MRT, near all other main attractions in SG. Several nearby restaurants. Overall, will definitely stay again and will recommend to friends and family!
I do this hotel to list for back again already”
My family we like small hotel but but big quality enough. And we got it from here. Room very clean Good smell even if small room but it's Singapore so this price is normal. Staff very nice, friendly and especially housekeeper I gave 5star for them. At 6floor Swimming pool not big around width 3m. and long. There are 4 rooms pool view inside. 1toilet 1 small fitness for 2ea. and towels Wifi is good enough for mobile butnot enough for laptop. not bad anyway However they have handy mobile in the room and free internet for service. Bathroom Calyx is very good make water smooth and squeezing with real hot water. It's very important for me wash hair. Every day 2cups/ 2 small plastic spoons/ 2 Coffees 2teas Creams and Sugar There is no refrigerator New towels (I more asked for my kid and no problem here) Toothbrush and Toothpaste Showercream, Shampoo Tissue stick at the wall 1. Hairdryer 2. Hot water boiler Location close Mrt Clarke Quay/ China town and Raffles
despite the renovations being carried out during our stay I would have to say it is a budget hotel . Rooms are some what smaller than you may get else where but you would also pay for that. The staff at the ibis at Clarke Quay are nothing short of amazing and have outstanding customer service skills ( thank you again team for making our stay so pleasantly memorable) , providing solutions and nothing is a problem. Rooms are clean and the hotel is very conveniently located to most sight seeing , restaurants and shopping. I would definitely not feel guilty for recommending this establishment to anyone traveling on a budget.
Good location and great service”
Stayed here for 4D3N and was happy all along. Check-in was easy and a breeze. As expected, room was small with a queen bed. Just able to fit 2 person with luggage. Anyway, not a problem for me as the room is just for a good night sleep. The room looks clean and well maintained, nothing much to complaint about the upkeep. Bathroom is small, but good enough to freshen up after a day out touring around. WiFi is available, but with a cost. Since it was a holiday, no point paying a large sum just for the WiFi access. Location wise, the hotel is located nearby Clarke Quay MRT station. It's about 5 minutes walking distance away and the surrounding area is quite safe. Just beside the hotel, there's also a 24 hours convenient store. No problem is looking for a place to dine, as there's plenty restaurants around. One that I think worth mentioning is Tiong Bahru Chicken Rice which is about 5 minutes walking distance away from the hotel. Reasonable priced, tastes good. A few doors away, there's also a Bak Kut Teh shop which seems to have long queue during dinner time, even though they have 2 shops. Didn't have the chance to try it out, but will definitely give it a try during next trip. You can easily walk towards Clarke Quay (about 15 minutes walking distance from the hotel) to dine by the riverside. Plenty of restaurants and pubs. Good place for night hangouts, with options of traveling in boat taxis for a tour along the river. Definitely a good hotel for singles, couples or business. If for family, the room size might be a problem. Great place to stay and traveling around is easy.
Great location hotel”
The Clark Quay Station and Clark Quay Central is just across the road. Roti canai store is just next door which is open 24 hrs. Convenient Store, 7-Eleven is just below it. Quiet environment and staff are all ladies which are friendly and very helpfui. There is also a local travel agent in the hotel to cater for travellers who need info on interesting places in Singapore to visit. A ticket entrance to Universal Studio is also available here.
Great location but small rooms"”
small but clean room , very closed to central department store ,minutes away from the central business district, fragrance hotel - riverside caters to business and leisure travellers with an affordable budget. besides the many historical attractions lining the riverside clark quay area, singapore’s throbbing nightlife scene is also concentrated around this scenic singapore riverside. fragrance hotel - riverside is only 5 minutes walk from clarke quay train station. also, it is just one train stop away from chinatown, whereby guests can enjoy the cultural sights, shopping and food.
Good location, value for money.”
It was such a pleasant surprise that the hotel is so well kept; clean bathroom and room.it really was such a refreshing stay especially when you are out the whole day exploring the city and back to a room so inviting.the hotel was only about 10 mins away from the beautiful Clarke Quay and Singapore river where you can admire the spectacular view at night while dinning out at the restaurant.it was also about 10 mins away from the culturally rich chinatown where you can eat some of the famous hawker food and purchase souvenirs for your loved ones.its close proximity to the mrt makes it easy for one to go anywhere one wishes; be it to orchard road or marina bay sands for fine dinning and shopping.definitely will be back to stay...keep up the standard of the hotel cleaniness
Amazing hotel above expectations and 5 star service”
We have stayed at Fragrance hotel Riverside for 3 days and we didn't expect much for the price from 3 star hotel, however we got 5 star hotel treatment. Stuff is very helpful at all times, we have got an upgraded room with mobile phone included (yes, mobile, which you can take anywhere you want), it had unlimited internet and local calls as well as free overseas calls to selected countries, Australia was one of them). I believe you get them with superior rooms. This was a very good bonus which was incredibly helpful during our stat. Location was amazing, across the road from train station, 5 minutes walk to china town with cheap food and 5-10 minutes walk to the main clarke quay strip with all bars and restaurants. Rooms are relatively small, however very clean and modern with good size tv and free wifi. There is a pool on the roof which has glass walls around it and good size, which we didn't expect for 3 star hotel. Definetely above average hotel and great value for money, highly recomended and we definetely staying there again in the future.
Good alternative to expensive hotels - or hostels”
Singapore is bloody expensive, yet this hotel is affordable and ok for what you pay. Location is super close to Clarke Quay. At the entrance there is a 7-Eleven with 24h service, so no need for a mini-bar. ;-) The rooms are small but fully equipped, clean and bathrooms ok. It appeared to be a bit dodgy to me first, like an upgraded hostel, but the staff was very nice and everything went perfectly well. Good low budget choice!
Ideal Hotel for short stay”
We were booke a triple room for 2 adults and 2 young kids. The room size is okay for 1-2 nights stay. REMEMBER not to bring 25" and up luggage, your won't have enough space. Bring cabin size luggage, it suit the room size well. Stollers must be folded for sure. Soap, shampoo, toothbrush, shower cap, tea, coffee and kettle are provided. Very near from Clarke Quay MRT exit A. Theres a Killiney cafe, 7-11 adjecent to this hotel. Pool was okay with a view of singapore modern building. The mini gym is oke, just treadmill and elipticall machine. Overall great stay.
Location location on a budget!!!”
Front desk staff amazing very friendly very helpful. We were greeted on the street and assisted with our bags inside out of the rain. We were then upgraded to a delux room without request (had a widow superior doesn't). They immediately told us there may be noise from a nearby building under works which was nice to be informed (we did not hear anything) Room was small but we knew that it would so weren't bothered by this, it was modern and clean and we got two pillows each, which was exciting as it was first budget hotel in Asia we got this. Shower is tiny you literally could sit on toilet while showering however that said pressure and heat of water was very good. They provide toothbrushes, shower cap, soaps and so on, slippers, tea and coffee making equipment, water and a hairdryer. Down side no fridge however there is a 24 hour 7-11 downstairs which is great. Wi fi is not included but only costs $10 for 24hrs. Pool is clean comfortable and easy to asses with the lift on level 6 extra towels provided. The gym however is only a treadmill and a stepping machine. Air con works very well and flat screen to with a English movie Chanel is free with room. Best thing about hotel is location so close to Clarke key and super close to MRT which if your traveling on a budget is AMAZING (can't stress this enough MRT only way to travel in Singapore) save your money on traveling and spend it on the great high end food joints right at your door in Clarke key or step out on the MRT to a local food hall Overall I spend 6 months searching for the perfect hotel /area to stay in Singapore (being our first time and knowing nothing of Singapore) I couldn't be happier with my choice loved the location, loved the price, would highly recommend it to anyone traveling on a budget for a short period (Probably a bit small for a long stay or family sharing a room though)
My SG hotel go-to”
I've been in SG for a couple of times already and I always stay in the Fragrance chain. It was my first to stay in the Riverside branch and I can say that it was worth my money. This hotel has a nice location because it's next to Clarke Quay, train station and the popular Bak Kuh Te restaurant, Song Fa. The room is a little compact but it was clean and decent. They also have a mobile phone that you can use for free to call overseas and go online. Staff is very accomodating as well.
Adequate room size yet comfortable and clean”
This is my second stay at Fragrance Riverside. The location is within 5 minutes walking distance to Clarke Quay and Boat Quay, and 10 minutes to Chinatown. There are lots of restaurants nearby, varies from Indonesian & Malay food, Indian food, Chinese food, and seafood. There are also a cafe and 7 Eleven next to the hotel. MRT station is located beneath the Central Mall, which only 5 minutes away from the hotel. Price is affordable for budget travelers who only seek for a good night sleep.
Great value for money”
This budget hotel is the best that you can have. Great location, just a 5-minute walk to Clarke Quay station. Very friendly staff and rooms are very clean. My uncle really enjoyed the pool! Thank you Fragrance Hotel for the excellent service, we will definitely stay here again if we go back to Singapore :)
