"Had a bit of a struggle at check in, came a day early and booked one night two hours ahead of arriving, desk clerk could not find my reservation and told I would have to come back later... unacceptable resolution, I said "get manager". About 5- 10 minutes of waiting and they had found my reservation and got me checked in. Very nice corner room with king bed and great view, but bell man came with my stuff and said I had to change rooms, clerk had made mistake... other room was unacceptable, had to go back downstairs and make a fuss, and was given the original room for my entire 4 night stay. Last two days it started getting really hot in vegas, and I started having trouble with my AC, which they fixed. Twice. Other than these minor irritations, the hotel was fine, would stay there again, and would also stay at several other Fremont Street hotels if the price is right. I look for bargains on 3 star and 4 star hotels when coming to Vegas, am there for work not fun. The D is one I have stayed at before and will stay at again."

"The Gold Spike was a lot of fun. It's an adult playground with games everywhere. The room itself was clean and minimalist. Our room was above the 'backyard' so it got pretty loud, but earplugs were provided. Nice touch. I liked being 1 street away from Fremont Street. Close and also far from the crazy. I would definitely stay at the Oasis again. Thanks."

"The Golden Nugget was a unique experience for our group. Previously we had all stayed in Strip hotels, and as I expected, Fremont Street and the Golden Nugget were laid back and perfect for us. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The front desk staff, bellman, and housekeepers were all very friendly and helpful. The Noodle House restaurant had some of the best Asian food my family has had, including the sushi. I was a bit put off by the charges for things that at other hotels in other cities were complimentary. Such as USA Today, use of the hotel fitness center, and internet service. In this economy, it seems a daily newspaper could have been included. Perhaps with the cost of my $8 Bloody Mary! I would also suggest that the hotel is actually sending their guests screaming in terror at the thought of sitting through the Gordie Brown Show. After 5 days at the Golden Nugget, riding the elevators with the continuous video loop of Gordie highlights, his show was the last thing our family wanted to see. Mostly though, we would highly recommend the Golden Nugget to our friends!"

"I will say the value here was great. We only stayed one night. Location is great being on Fremont street where i spend most of my time. Room is small but cute. Didn't spend much time in room by trying to sleep was aweful. We got back to our room about 1:30am and the noise was extremely bad. Perhaps the location of the room was the problem. Our room was on the corner near Fremont street. It sounded like we were right by the stage. The noise didn't calm down till almost 3 am on a Sunday night. The lights were brought but the curtains did a decent job of blocking the light. The other huge issue for me was the ac or whatever it is they have there. A sign above the control says it only blows cool air in the summer and warm air in the winter. Our room was cold even with the unit off. So for me i wouldnt stay again. Perhaps if in a room not near Fremont street or bring an extra blanket and you will be ok. "

"Your on Fremont Street, get free parking and Wifi. No Resort Fee. Newly remodeled rooms. The rooms along Fremont Street will get loud at night. The standard room is small and the bathroom is tiny but functional. I think it's a great choice for the bargain hunter."

"Our first time staying in Fremont Street. We stayed in the Cabana Suites. With a boutique style setting, it was so easy to get in and out of our room without having to walk through a casino. I liked the Art Deco vibe the lobby offered...plus skittles on the counter was a plus. We stayed in a Senior Suite, a large room with Art Deco vibes as well. Comfy bed, big shower, sinks for 2... El Cortez was a great stay. "
