Worth staying ”

Spacious and clean room, staffs were all friendly, breakfast were delicious! Just that a little bit inconvenience on the location as there're no convenient stores or food stalls nearby, we have to call the cab to pick us up and fetch us to and fro the night market. Good experience I had in Freshfields!

Perfect place for a retreat”

Spa, view, service

The staffs were polite, passionate and professional. We were escorted by a staff that carried our luggage from the lobby all the way to our room. The room is very big with a good forest view from outside. As this hotel is known for its hot spring, the bathroom is the hit of the night: a huge spa bath with a hot spring water tap. The facilities provided were decent and the buffet breakfast provides so many options for us I simply skipped lunch after my breakfast. The location is quite inconvenient for travellers that want to look around Taichung, but it will be ideal for a retreat.

Facilities are good”

I booked this hotel because it is a hot spring one in urban area in taichung. Staff are nice and helpful. Facilities are value for the money. The scenery of our room is great. Breakfast is normal with quite a lot of choices. The hotel is located at the hilltop, which is not quite convenient. You will expect to take taxi whenever you want to go out. (bus 99 is not frequent, only once every hour)

Nice breakfast, big room”

Location is up in the hills, no convenience stores around and unable to get mcdelivery service, so please bring your own snacks and drinks along. Room is huge, bed is huge too, hot spring tub is more than enough for 2pax but takes quite some time to fill. Hot spring is colorless and without odor, temperature about 40+ degree celcius. Hotel has 3 restaurants and 1 cafe, tried the Chinese restaurant ala carte menu which is pretty good with large portions. All 3 restaurants serve buffet dinner at NT720/pax (service charge/tax waived for hotel guests). Morning breakfast buffet at international restaurant is good, wide variety and good quality, though timing ends sharply at 10am thus do not go down too late. Also ordered room service for fries and beer, pricing is ok with 20% service charges. Good service provided by all staff. Will recommend for couples or families to stay for a relaxing night.

Great room with awesome view”

Great room, good breakfast, nice spa pools

Without a car, it's really hard to get to this hotel. We tried calling the hotel to ask about frer shuttle timetable but we simply couldn't get through. The line was busy all day. We tried getting a taxi from Chenggong Train Station at 6pm, a couple of taxis refused to take us to the hotel. We finally got into one but the driver refused to set the meter and made us pay at a higher price. When we get to the hotel things are all fine. The room was big with a big private spa tub. We could see Taichung city from tha room and the bathroom. The night view was simply spectacular.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff and relaxing hot springs”

Very pleasant, however it's quite far for those who has never been to Taichung and want to explore the city more. Renting a car would be great. Nevertheless, it is perfect for those who wants to get away from city life and relax. Hot springs were nice and relaxing, staff were friendly and helpful. It would be great if they had more massage packages.

Nice hotel with good service”

Quiet, nice, good service, spacious

Everything is good except for the massage service. Should get guest's contact to re-confirm booking. Not all the guest will stay in their room to wait till time for their booking. Besides, should educate those guests about hotel policy and arrangement when having breakfast at the hotel. When there is a "Reserved" placed on the table, it means being occupied even though there is no one or no plates on the table. It was really bad that your table being occupied after bringing the food back to it. No one at the table but luggage and two "Reserved"! This is the 3rd time I have been staying in this hotel but having the most unpleasant experience.

Not great value for money ”

My husband and I stayed here for the first time after our wedding last week. We didn’t have time to go too far away but wanted to at least enjoy a short honeymoon getaway, so we paid the money to have a room with a hot spring tub inside for two nights. Under the “special requests” I chose the option for honeymoon arrangements and sent a message explaining our situation (planning our wedding has been very difficult given the pandemic, also I’m from Canada and none of my family and friends from abroad could attend, so I explained that we hoped to make our honeymoon special and relaxing). Days later I received a reply from the hotel asking what we wanted them to do (does a hotel of this stature not have their own standard procedure for this?). I asked what arrangements the hotel could provide and then never received any further response. Upon checking in I again mentioned to the hotel that we were staying there for our honeymoon, and was given a box of shampoo, body wash and lotion. That was it. That was their “honeymoon arrangements”. Nothing else was prepared for us in the room. I know from friends’ experiences that other hotels go out of their way to make the stay a special experience for their honeymoon guests, so we were frankly quite disappointed. The room itself was decent, clean and had a beautiful view but otherwise was not convenient; there was only one available outlet to plug in our phones etc and it was all the way across the room from the bed. The fridge was a low temperature fridge which made it basically useless for cooling anything we had brought and instead we had to ask the staff to come back and forth to our room to refrigerate our drinks elsewhere. There was one fork, one knife and one plate in the room (for two people..?) and no drinking glasses, everything we had to ask staff to bring to the room. These, among others, were all fairly minor grievances in themselves, but added together and given the price we paid for the room, we genuinely expecte

Nice place!”

Was surprised that our lunch from the Asian Fusion restaurant suited to our taste with great variety and delicious! Only at about $790TWD per pax for ala carte buffet. Eat all you can. Our dinner from the Japanese restaurant is quite disappointing. Not as nice as we expected and also if they can provide a menu with pictures will be better cause they named their menus with very nice names and you have to Guess what they are all about for people like me who isn't very good with Chinese language. Buffet breakfast comes with great variety too! Hotel is clean, comfortable, very well maintained, with lots of facilities to use for adults and kids! Staying just one night is not enough for us! Only if the reception lady staff can be friendlier by wearing smiles then it will be perfect.

Nice room with hot spring”

Large room, hot sping, good service

Hotel located far from city, good for hot spring. The room is large with good deco and in-room hot spring. Breakfast is varied with western and chinese food. However, it's full of guest in weekend, you may need to line up for food. The service is good, friendly and nice. But, one thing to notify is that the noise could be easy heard from other rooms.

Friendly staff, private hot spring at room, huge bathroom, good view of city , quiet, close of highspeed train and airport by taxi

We stayed for two nites. On our first day of arrival, we can barely enjoyed the high tea buffet there which ended very early at 1630 hrs. We took a taxi to city centre for shopping and the next day to highspeed train station where you can go anywhere. The staff were all friendly at the reception, especially those called a taxi for us. Very good service and environment. The only thing that the hotel can improve is to extend the closure of high tea to 1700 hrs, then more travelers can have a chance to enjoy such.

Good hotel overall, but location not ideal”

Hot Spring

the hotel gave a good first impression when we arrived, the lobby felt bright and clean and receptionists were very helpful. the quadruple room which we stayed was spacious and the in-room hot spring tub was equally interesting. the public hot spring pools were good, but make sure you your swimsuit and swimming cap if you wish to use the mixed pool, otherwise you will only be allowed to use the single pools which are indoors. the major downside to the hotel was its location, it is 30 minutes by taxi from the city centre and getting a taxi was not easy, a 10-15 minute wait is needed call in a taxi.
